While we are unsure of state specifics, New Jersey's state website does provide helpful information and answers FAQs on the topic of FMLA: www.nj.gov/labor/myleavebenefits/help/faq/fli.shtml#:~:text=Family%20Leave%20Insurance%20provides%20New,19)%20or%20injured%20loved%20one.
The 75-mile radius implies that a business must have 50 workers within a 75-mile radius of the location to provide FMLA to employees. So, if a business has 60 employees, but all of them are remote, then it doesn't have to provide FMLA.

You have to check how your company defines immediate family member. Is it spouse, parent and children only? Does it include siblings?
