@@fauziahpawan6605 I've seen predictions of HYBE's next steps: fire the the department heads that filed a petition in support of MHJ, fire the production team that she brought with her from SM, but don't touch the lower level staff. And file again with the court to be able to fire her. With the luck of the draw, HYBE might get a different judge who takes a more favorable approach. We know that HYBE keeps their cards close to their chest, so we'll have to wait and see.

As a Finance Consultant here in the U. S., I am very curious if Ador is even making a profit. Between her excessive salary, NJ's high-end apartment, the regular cost of running a label, not to mention Ador's % of Hybe's cost (ie..the 16th floor) it would seem very unlikely that her division is profitable. Even her Balance Sheet has to be worrisome noting the start-up cost Hybe loaned her upfront.
I am still in awe that she couldn't be fired. If she was here in the USA, she would be gone and blacklisted!
Ador is the 4th most profitable label under Hybe. They made almost 20 million usd in profit last year.

They made net profit in 2023. In 2022 as most debuted groups they had debt, but as they were successful profit rose. Gotta know they received being ambassadors for brands etc. quickly after debut e.g. as Hybe used their connections built with BTS already. They basically got an ad with Grammy 2022 winner Jon Batiste because V, member of BTS, befriended him. First quater of 2024 they were the second least profitable label in Hybe, but to be fair that was before their comeback now.
But you are right in asking, wouldn't the profits been higher if so much money wasn't spend such early in time? I'm no financial analyst, but I asked that myself. If I had a new company and had success, I wouldn't throw money all around me that early, I'd build a solid reserve for bad times, because bad times always occur. Girls could have had an appartment with a comfortable room each, without it being half a palast in the best neighbourhood at Han river, simply unnessesary costs, but not if you wanna groom people like MHJ planned from the get go, and as we see it worked perfectly on the girls, maybe even more so on their parents it seems.

She thinks her statements of being human and appeals for some kind of reconciliation will force Hybe to ignore the plot she initiated to take Ador and destroy/weaken Hybe. She forgets that Hybe is already preparing to present the evidence for the well-deserved criminal charges against MHJ, plus the other defamation lawsuits that are in progress against her. Hybe isn't just going to forget that there's a snake in the grass. They also won't ignore NJ and their parents' behaviour. No reasonable person or company would just move forward as though it's business as usual. Hybe doesn't have to invest even one more penny towards NJ. There are plenty of other talented people in Korea who would jump at the chance to work at Hybe, and wouldn't cost nearly as much as NJ and MHJ have cost to Hybe, their employees & artists and their stockholders.

In their early years, the boys were paid some kind of salary, but it was likely very low and for the most part the company was just paying for their meals and accommodation, with the rap line earning a little extra because they had so many writing credits. The company only really started to break even around 2015 after their first win for I Need You, and it quickly climbed up after that and the boys were well compensated as soon as the company could actually afford to. By the end of 2015 the boys are starting to wear designer pieces, by 2016 Hobi is able to get a mortgage on an apartment, by 2017 Jin is able to buy one outright, in 2018 they re-newed their contracts two years early and got 1 billion won (around $750k) as bonuses, something which tripled when they re-newed again in 2023.
Not having any trainee debt was actually incredibly rare in the industry at the time, and even artists from big labels didn't make a cent until years into their contract. But the lack of trainee debt, in combination with not having a dating ban and being allowed to write and produce their own music, and having full control over their own social media pages where they could interact with their fans as they pleased, it was basically bizarre for idols to have good contracts. It was the sort of thing that idols could MAYBE try to negotiate after a couple of years in the industry, or maybe only after re-signing their contract or being hired by another company. It's why a lot of Army, especially those who have been around since the early years and know how much of an anomaly it was, think so highly of bighit. They were more free than a vast majority of Kpop artists ever had been when they debuted, and every time they've renewed their contracts they've just kept getting more money and more freedoms.

What I found most shocking about the second “Press Opera” was the costume change along with the weird self possessed and eerily calm demeanour. She looked about twenty years older than in the first “Press Opera”, no doubt helped along with the costume change and matriarchal behaviour. To answer your question of what is most shocking? Well, absolutely nothing. Korean legal system appalled me since day 1 (from the time I took an interest in everything Korean). It gives way too much ambiguity and power to the public while the public is most often unaware or unquestioning of this ambiguity. For example, I saw a Korean comment say "Why does our country have all these cult issues" and my immediate response was that 'yall don't define what cult behavior is and loses your shit over meditation institution rumors while falling for HeeJin's "don't yall get advices from a shaman". Furthermore, you never bother to question your country's wonderful law system that enables criminals by giving them barely a decade of prison time for a crime that would elsewhere get the criminal a life sentence.'
A lot of folks seem to be extremely bitter about any success that is unrelatable or unattainable to them and put anyone who makes it fantasizeable on a pedestal even if that person has 0.1% similarity with respect to circumstances, finance and their position in the career ladder.
It is particularly not shocking to me since I witnessed all that BTS went through as well as Tablo. Tablo's Stanford Education controversy fueled purely by the jealous public opened my eyes to how salty people can be. Straight up crucifying him for absolutely no wrong on his behalf and even as he would show proof after proof- each time the proofs being legally stronger when he had to do none of that to clear his name- his name that needed no questioning but the public could not stand the idea that a K-artist could have graduated from a prestigious university like stanford.
She won on a legal technicality. The court acknowledged that she did plot to take Adore and New Jeans from Hybe, but she didn't follow through on it, or she didn't pull it off, so they can't fire her. She is a scheming lying fraud, and has zero business working in the entertainment/music industry. Hybe will not resign her contract. Anyone know when that is up?? Karma is wicked, what you put out there comes back to you.

As a mother of a passionate BTS army, my only daughter is only 7yr. old and always asked me to comment in your platform Sean, i cant help not to be disgusted by these girls who cant keep neutal in this issue. I think for MHJ this is a case of be careful what you ask for. She got her injunction. Now what? Her board was fired and replaced with HYBE's Chief Human Resources Officer, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Financial Officer. She now has absolutely no voting power and it's not an accident HYBE brought in HR, Strategy and Finances. Every move she makes as CEO will be carefully watched and managed by HYBE. The judge was clearly said that she betrayed HYBE. Essentially HYBE has a case. She was offered a buyout so she that would have sent on her way with no strings attached but she turned it down. Oh well. I think one of two things will happen. HYBE waits for the criminal case against MHJ to decided in their favor or if HYBE loses the case they just box her in and wait for the contract to end in 2026. Either way she will not be getting what she wants.
MHJ's attempt at reconciliation is laughable. Happy that HYBE released a statement stating that "they have no intention to compromise and intends to reach a conclusion through police investigations or related lawsuits." One last thing. At some point HYBE has to start thinking the well being of the other groups too. The members of NJ are not little kids, they made a choice and have clearly stated their support for MHJ. Clearly, they don't want to be at HYBE. Sometimes you have to cut your losses and let go. Why have the toxicity continue to swirl around the company? Maybe they can cut a deal and send them on their way as well. New Jeans is talented and they will be fine somewhere else.

That’s it. But we are well taking care of. We have our own office. A cafeteria , a buffet room and even have our own Spa, Clinic and Gym. Only exclusive access to the employees. And our health insurance is one of the best. We are even becoming a shareholders while working there and even once we plan to part ways with the company. We really appreciate everything we have from our company.

I'm definitely on Hybe side, it's the company that my boys buildcup wth their hard work, tears, swaet. But despite being better than other big companies, they are not perfect and with MHJ hiring and appeasing they fucked up big time.

The creators of the test didn't have any formal training in psychology, and the test doesn't meet standard scientific criteria. You can become more comfortable with situations as you age as an Introvert, or become a bit more calm as an Extrovert as you age, but unlike you're an Ambivert like myself, who was comfortable in all scenarios, just dependending on daily mood and the actuall people I was with, you don't switch. Likewise for the other categories. That was the whole point of it. If you can switch like I have seen in SK what sense does this whole thing holds then in the first place?

She may have made a lot of money for Ador but I read somewhere that despite the high earnings because of the extremely high expenses, including her salary, Ador was actually one of the least profitable companies under Hybe last year. Does anyone else know anything about that? Because that in itself could be an argument against her.

Do you think the international response, which had her number from Day 1, had an impact on how the tide seems to have turned? I noticed a reporter from BBC and another from the USA asked questions at the last press conference. So international attention is on this story.
I feel like the 10k petitions did have an effect since Korean judges get swayed easily even if they shouldn't. For the next ruling the Koreans who see through her should submit petitions too. the only problem is the 10k in support of her are fanatics (and the "brainless" ones as MHJ calls them). so they have much stronger motivation to take action.

Stay calm. Yes, there is a police investigation and this will get more serious for her. Yes, she just got granted the injunction, which they try to sell as a win, which it not necessarily is. It's all going well so far. She's running a media campaign against legal issues. Louder is not always right.

I think Hybe kept their most important evidence for the case that really matters, and didn't show their hand yet. She's pretty much incapacitated inside Hybe now. I guess she's panicking.

HYBE most likely hired Mhj in good faith and set her up for success (new company, CEO position, stock options in ador, total creative freedom to manage new Kpop girls group, HYBE funding/resources, etc)…they just didn’t anticipate mhj planning to leave, take some things, people and money with her AND ruin HYBEs reputation on the way out…
I kinda suspect he saw a bit of him in her. She sold herself as trying to break free from the usual Kpop ways, treating artist better by giving them money/good treatment, having more artistic freedom. That's what he tried to do too, and succeeded. So he was charmed by her ways, thought he's looking in the mirror, another version of himself, he probably thought that she could indeed create some kind of female equivalent to BTS. The problem is, he and BTS they worked that stuff from the ground up, worked harder than others, with more passion. While ADOR started with a golden spoon. Along the way with her demands, he started to realize that she's not his mirror image. But it was too late, she had her contract, they were trapped. As she stated, at some point he cut himself out, isolated himself from her and let the CEO deal with her. They went the strategy of appeasement, hoping she would be satisfied at some point and make them some money. Kinda like the colleague noone likes because of their ways, but they still have some skills you can't deny and bring value. I guess noone would have imagined there how greedy and crazy she is. Talking with a dead sister through a shaman and let her decide business decisions? Maybe the death of her sister broke something in her. Maybe she has just been a covert narcissist, would at least seem so to me with how she constantly want to be mentioned, loves to be in photos with the girls and in the limelight.

Honestly just sad to see her body shaming the girls she says are like ‘daughters’. Making comments about weight can lead to body dysmorphia leading to calorie restriction ect. No matter the victory tour by MHJ, hybe action speaks louder. Her goose is cooked and Hybe is the chef.
I have to say what an epic and colossal failure by MHJ. Yes she won the case against Hybe not to fire her. But at the same time the judge declared that she had a plan (yes the one she said was a joke). The reason Hybe lost was on a technicality as the damage was to Hybe and not to Ador. At lease not sufficient enough to side with Hybe. The case was ONLY for the shareholder meeting on the 31st. That means Hybe can fire her for other reasons and MHJ will now have to use her own money to file injunctions against Hybe every single time to block them from voting.
in the meantime she is doing the press rounds exalting her victory while Hybe fired her minions and put in the senior execs of Hybe as the Ador board of directors. Not only replacing the 2 lackeys but adding a third. I’d love to be the fly on the wall at those meetings.
Now the Ador board can totally control her. They can restructure Ador, remove certain departments from her control, replace employees, allow a full and comprehensive audit and then put into place new policies and procedures to prevent this again.
In addition, Hybe stock bounced back after the verdict and MHJ’s press conference. The problem for her is that the stock bounced back by about 5%. Considering her 1945 (the one she said was a joke, but the court said was real) was to smear artists within Hybe, makes sure BTS were enlisted and then just wait for Hybe’s value to tank so that she could then take Ador from Hybe. 5% is not enough and shows how much the value of Ador and NJ’s is on the bottom line of Hybe. The epic failure is in two parts.
first, BTS enlistment so that (according to her) would weaken Hybe and this would play to her advantage. The problem is that she planned to start this in April. Bts enlisted in December 23. From Jan-April, BTS were still pumping out content. The clueless business woman didn’t even think to check if this content was weakening Hybe or not before she executed her plan. second, Hybe value being affected. She lives in her own world of narcissism and hubris where she thinks her success is greater than anyone one else, even BTS who generated over 50% of Hybe’s revenue. Yes NJ’s is successful but they are a newbie and are no where near BTS, in fact her label can’t even compare with Pledis (Seventeen) which contributes 30% of Hybe’s revenue. City analysts have said that Ador’s impact on Hybe is around 10% and Hybe can easily bounce back from a 10% affect to their value. The fact that Hybe’s stock value bounced back by 5% from MHJ’s is proof that she would have failed with her project 1945 plan. It also shows how much of an impact Ador label has on Hybe stock, just 5%. Her ego was writing checks she couldn’t deliver.
Her greed is evident, her ego and hubris is also evident in trying to take on a giant without checking if enlistment of BTS weakened Hybe or not. She should have analysed what impact of a smear campaign would have before she started. This whole plan has backfired on her now. She is now in a worse position than she was before. If she had kept her mouth shut and stayed humble, perhaps BSH might have rewarded her with even more shares, considering he generously (overly generous in my opinion) gave her 20% and a loan as well. She now has a board of directors IN HER OWN HOUSE that are Hybe executives who can now not only control her, they can demote her, move her into another job, fire her, allow a full audit (yes she will now have to hand over her laptop). And that is why it’s an epic and colossal fail on her part as she is now worse off even though she won in court.
