Just did this on my 2019 Vulcan. Took less than 5 minutes, very easy. Thanks for the guide, I probably never would have attempted it without it.
Glad it helped
Thanks for the tutorial, mate. The instructions in the user manual are confusing and you made it super simple. Cheers.
New to channel and just got license. Your videos put the final nail in choosing a Vulcan as my first bike. Few mods to be made over the winter months here in Scotland. Video of installation of crash bars, wouldn't go a miss. Keep it up fella.
Congrats on your choice of the Vulcan S!! I hope you have as much fun as My girl is having with hers!
Now I don't know about the Availability of the crash guards in the UK.. But the links I used are these..
The Engine Guard came from www.motomachines.com/Hepco-Becker-Engine-Guard-for-Kawasaki-Vulcan-S-15-_p_5117.html Make a note of the name and look to see if there's a UK Branch or Supplier..

Awesome video! Going to order my led bulb this week. Thank you.
Glad it helped
GREAT vid! Thanks!
Great Video
No I haven’t even installed it yet. I just ordered it. I'm just gaining knowledge from u before I do surgery on my baby! Lol
No probs.. it'll be easy (now you know how)
Thanks for the step by step bulb change, would like to do this, what is the make of the LED bulb and item ref, were do you buy them.
Thankyou
My running light on my Vulcan S 2021 edition was flickering, thanks to your guide I was able to apply the easy fix: the cable connector wasnt plugged in firmly enough.
Glad to be of help to you!
I did this! Mine had a rubber boot between the plug and bulb. Not the plug boot but over the light itself.
I took the boot off and moved the spring lock and the bulb practically fell out.
DO NOT modify the boot to get the LED light back in. The metal collar on the light twists off. Remove the light’s metal collar, slip on the boot (make sure it’s snug) and replace the metal collar. The metal collar is fitted ~ two slots, one bigger than the other.
Putting the bulb back in was a bit of a pain in the ass (fingers really, but whatever).
Once the boot is on, fold the boot completely backwards.
Make sure the locking spring is between the metal collar and the rubber boot. You gotta work the light into place while pushing the spring down but it’ll go.
Once seated, lock the spring and fold the boot back down.
I zip tied the wires together to help prevent pinching. Then hung the light and tightened it.
Pretty easy once you know how.
Cheers fella! Much appreciated.
oh.. You have no Idea!! LOL When I first tried to get into it, I damn near took the whole assembly apart before I realized where I was going wrong..
Very useful video m8 I shall use it when putting my led bulbs in 😁
Glad it'll help you Sam :) Let me know if you have any question.. :)
Hi, need canbus with led or no ?
Is it same for 2020 vulcan s
Curious if the LED burns the boot as you Don't have it installed?
Shea's had that LED on her bike for years now..as long as the rubber boot doesn't block or interfere with the fan.. nothing burns..
Dude awesome vid very helpful
I'm glad it helped!! Thanks Carlos :)
That'll come in handy tomorrow.
Great!. If you hit any obstacles.. I'll be online to help out if I can.
Thank you for the video. It helped me replace my bikes headlight.
Glad it helped you.. :)
Just ordered. Thank you
You're going to love it!
Lamps watts? H4 more informacion about the lamp
I have this exact model, and am considering replacing the entire headlight fixture with an HID fixture.
Big thanks for this tutorial.

Glad it helped :)
Hey man. Love your vids seeing as I own a Vulcan s myself. Just a quick question. Does that Led light still operate well on your bike. I’ve heard of LED light shorting out after some months on bikes. Just curious. Thanks again so much - Chris 😄
The lights are working perfectly.. and still as bright as ever. You will not regret getting an LED Bulb for your bike.
Wonderful. I just ordered the bike lift and chain lube as well from your other video. From Ny and I plan on riding throughout the winter minus snow days. AGAIN, your vids were so informative and basic I Cannot thank you enough. Safe travels. Hope to ride with you some day. Be well my friend 😄
@@CscorpioartCsorpio Ride Safe and stay warm.. You own a reliable and sturdy machine! Keep up with the maintenance and she will always carry you home.
Anyone now is this a MOT fail now with the new rule upgrade last month? I did the same thing to my Vulcan and thinking of swapping back to halogen before the MOT and getting a light bar instead
Great video and extremely helpful. I’ve got a 2017 Vulcan S myself and I recently set out to change the headlamp to LED. Ordered the one you show in the video (hope you get something for that link) but I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get that big ass cooling fan through the rubber boot. Is there a trick to it? I feel like I’m going to breast it if I force it through. Thanks again for your videos. I’m enjoying the hell out of them.
Disregard. I see someone had the same question below.
What light bulb model did you order?
Thanks for the video. Planning on putting all led bulbs in my Vulcan s this winter. Question for you though, on shea's new bike, where did you get that windshield?
Hey Jessy.. The windshield came with Shea's 2015 Vulcan s, I looked into it and found it's the Kawasaki's own set up
the entire setup isn't cheap though..
KQR™ WINDSHIELD FORK BRACKET KIT $209.95
KQR™ WINDSHIELD BRACKET KIT $229.95
KQR™ MEDIUM WINDSHIELD $119.95
someone sprayed tint on the windshield to make it darker.. Had it not come with the bike when I bought it, I would have gone with an aftermarket setup, personally.. hope that helps.. Glad the video is going to help you with the installation of your LED Lights.. ride Safe!
Hello there. I have the same bike and recently I have change the bulb with the exact led model you are using. Some people have told me that the light reflects and bothers them when I pass. Have you had any alignment issues with this bulb?
Hiya Zaska, there are a couple of screws you can adjust to aim the light down a little. But at the end of the day its about you being seen by traffic. Id rather bother oncoming traffic a little then be invisible to them.
Thanks for your GREAT Videos! Which LED did you go with and it seems that the rubber boot no longer fits with that Huge Fan in the back of the LED. Also the Metal clips didn't seem to fit very well. Is there a fitment issue when installing the housing back onto the bike since the LED bulb sticks out a lot more than the original. Thanks as always for your help and advise!
The link to it is in the description, Although Amazon cancelled my affiliation (Not enough traffic/Subscriber or content) the link still works.. As for the rubber boot, I just didn't fold it in so it still covered the area while exposing the fan .. I'll take a picture of it later and will post it on twitter so you can see..
Excellent! Keep up the Great Work you do. Thank you!
My vulcan s did come with the rubber near the bulb, how do I get passed it? Do I just cut it off or do pull hard and hope it stays in tact?
Just work it back along the wiring.. it's not glued in or anything.. then unhook the wire spring and pull the bulb out.. then unplug the bulb from the wiring .. you'll be able to remove from there.. there's no reason to cut it . Should come off smoothly
Will this bulb melt the housing? Has anyone had any trouble with that?
Its been over 3 years and still no problems :)
Hi Sir!
Did u experience any problems with the bulb after the installation? I’m about to purchase the same one as u recommend. Please let me know! Thank you!
I've had not one hint of an issue with that bulb.,., just remember though that you have a rubber boot that may need a stretch a bit.. but as long as air gets into the back end and you'll be fine
@@CockneyBikerBiker thanks for the reply and the detailed video. It was helpful!!!
@@davidmead8990 Not a problem, Glad to have been of help, Ride safe!
Is this the H4 bulb that is used for the Vulcan S? Also I seen somewhere, and I thought it might be one of your videos about a blue LED for the small running light above the main headlight. Do you have any info about the smaller light?
Hiya +Kelly Zabriskie.. the LED us an H4 light that I ordered from Amazon, I've got a link to it in the description, the small running light is a typical bulb you can pick up from any shop.. im not sure on the exact specs on it..hope that helps
@@CockneyBiker
Hi is that the only information you have about the led headlight bulb H4 because
low beam is 12v55 w halogen from factory.
High beam is 12v60 w
By the way how did you find the information IE H4?
Thank you so much as I would like to change my headlight bulb to led.
I bought a 2018 Matt black Vulcan S love it lots, I was born in Chelmsford Essex, but live in Canada now.

Hiya, It's been since before Dec 2017 that Shea has had the LED Bulb in her bike and it's still going strong.. I'm still not too sure on the specs but I can promise you that it's brighter than anything that came out of the factory! Link is in the description.. try it out, You cannot go wrong with it :)
Does the amazon purchase come with two or one? About to order it 😁
Wondering if i should order one for my girl as well or not, that’s why (:
You get a pair per order..
Is it a big deal if you don't put the rubber no it back on, like will it hurt it or anything?
Its primary purpose is to prevent rain water getting into the light socket.. I would try to get it in there.. even if I have to cut it down a bit with scissors..
The Cockney Biker Okay thank you, ill do just that tomorrow.
Is it brighter than OEM?
Very much so! About 3x brighter
@@CockneyBiker It's the H4 right?
@@nevidcortes1827 Yes..

Great video. ..Can I ask what happened to the front end? I crashed my beloved Vulcan S into a car that turned left in front of me two weeks ago. The damage to the fender looks very similar, but they said my forks bent and took up most of the impact. I'm curious if my frame may be bent as well. I was going 35 mph and with the ABS I was able to slam on the brakes as hard as I could before impact.
My daughter had a truck pull out in front of her on her way home from School, At first we thought the only damage was the front mud guard (Fender) but it bent the frame ever so slightly so the bike steered more to the left than the right. the repair shop said it would cosy $6k to repair so the insurance wrote it off.. thats when I got her the new 2017 KVS.. in her favourite colour :)
I'm glad she is ok and still riding, and hopefully did not get seriously injured. I was lucky not to get hurt, I had the right gear on. I rode home after the accident, but the steering was off probably because of the bent forks. (I learned at the worst possible time that AAA has seperate roadside assistance for motorcycles) My bike has already been mostly repaired, just waiting on the front brake lever to come in on Mon. I will ask about the frame. Thank u so much for all your videos and quick reply. I have never subscribed to any channel before, until now. Ride Safe.
I really appreciate that Max. thank you and I'm glad you're OK as well (Shea is fine.. just a couple of bumps and bruises.. she still loves riding and has a few vids out :) Take care, Ride safe!

Hello there, I have just purchased the following bulb (LED)
www.amazon.es/gp/aw/d/B01MDLURMG?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd&th=1
Is it the same you put in your Vulcan? I will try it to put in this coming weekend.
Hiya Nathan, thats the same one I ordered..
The Cockney Biker I finally installed the bulb. The installation has a couple of tricks that need patience to solve and time. One thing worth mentioning is before installing the new bulb on its place is to remove the blue rubber protector that covers the bulb. The. Installed the protector in the whole, installed the spring to hold the bulb in place and then insert the bulb in the protector and twist it to secure it. Beside that is quite simple to do. One thing si don’t like is the little transformer that comes out of the LED, Since it takes quite a bit of space and I don’t know if it is water protected. I will wrap it with water resistance tape. I will post a video soon on how I did my installation. Thanks for your video that helped me quite a lot.
Glad you got it in with no major issues.. but the main thing is can you see the difference?
The Cockney Biker I need to take the bike out to the street first. In the garage the short beam is much brighter. However when I switch to the high beam, I can nearly see the increase in intensity. I am quite sure that when I ride at night, the incoming cars will feel I have the high beam turned one.
