    i have a 2022 vulcan s and i had the same problem with the throttle. the reality is that it's a high-revving engine (came from the Ninja). once you get up to like 3-4k rpm it all starts to smooth out (you can even cruise at like 6-7k im told), and the engine stays cool no problem. when i first got it i drove it just like you because everything ive been taught was to keep rpms low to conserve gas and less wear on the engine. but this engine is designed to spin faster while cruising. once you get over your intuition youll realize the full potential of the bike. its a really fun ride lol ride safe and thanks for the vid, im in the market for an LED bulb

    What about that throttle tamer you mention in the beginning, as one of the two complaints you have? What did you do for that? My Vulcan S is very twitchy at lower speeds.

    • @themotorcyclegene
      @themotorcyclegene  Před 3 lety +4

      Kai, I considered the throttle tamer, which is a mechanical device that replaces your OEM throttle, but decided to install the Booster Plug instead. The booster Plug connects to the bike's computer and gives the bike more power as well as correcting the twitchy throttle. If you want to see my review or how to install it you can follow this link czcams.com/video/D1bQ0yisYks/video.html
      Best of luck with your Vulcan S and ride safe.

      That is correct, there was no additional wiring required. The light is plug and play.

    Did you ever change the Running Light bulb?

    • @themotorcyclegene
      @themotorcyclegene  Před 2 lety +2

      I only ever replaced the high/low beam main headlight. The smaller light that comes on when the key is turned, before the engine is started never got changed.

      @@themotorcyclegene ok great! You happy with the outcome of it? I seen they have a whole LED assembly but I wanna keep the adjustment with the stock.(know the LED conversion kits can be adjusted with washers and such.) My bike before this was a 2003 Suzuki intruder 1400 and it had Halogen bulbs so I'm used to them! Going to pick up a 2022 Kawasaki Vulcan S ABS this February or March.

    • @themotorcyclegene

      It is the high and low beam, but not the driving light.

      @@themotorcyclegene not sure what you mean it does the high and low bean but not the driving light? I have a 2020 And my low bean comes on automatically isn't that your low bean? Or am I doing something wrong

    • @themotorcyclegene
      @themotorcyclegene  Před 3 lety +3

      @@michealwhynot the light in my video is the high and low beam. The low comes on automatically when the engine is on, but if the key is turned on without starting the engine a smaller light is on that you can’t really see once the headlight comes on. I referred, incorrectly, to that light as the driving light. The low beam in the headlight is the driving light and the LED that I used to replace the OEM light is both the high and low beam. Hopefully that helps.

    • @themotorcyclegene

      I have not found any evidence of strain, and according to the packaging that came with the light, it takes fewer watts to operate than the OEM bulb. Here is the link for the one I got www.amazon.com/dp/B07TF8XCMM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

      @@themotorcyclegene Thank you for the answer, has the LED light serviced you well since you had it? The after market complete headlight assembly seems to be too costly? Somewhere over $300 to $400 if not more. it seems like a more of a cost efficient alternative. By any chance did you have to add a relay with it?
