  • In this video we demonstrate a step by step approach on how to replace the waterpump seal with OEM honda parts on a 2002-2003-2004 Honda CRF450R. This is a demonstration on a water pump seal replacement on a dirtbike. Thanks for watching.
This video is made with the Do-It-Yourselfer in mind, the guy/girl who wants to work on their vehicles at home. I am a California licensed and certified automotive technician, and these are some of the methods I use to install water pump seal on a dirtbike.

Important note! The threads on the crf250 water pump impeller are left hand threads meaning you have to turn it clockwise to remove it!

Hey can someone help? I only bought the water seal and not the tranny seal. Is it okay if I just do the water seal? Or do you guys recommend to do both.

This is not the suggested way to do it. If your bike is leaking out of weep hole for longer than an hr than odds the hot coolant has compromised the oil seal as well. So you might as well replace both seals while you're in there that's why the kit comes with both seals.
