- In this video we demonstrate a step by step approach on how to replace the waterpump seal with OEM honda parts on a 2002-2003-2004 Honda CRF450R. This is a demonstration on a water pump seal replacement on a dirtbike. Thanks for watching.
This video is made with the Do-It-Yourselfer in mind, the guy/girl who wants to work on their vehicles at home. I am a California licensed and certified automotive technician, and these are some of the methods I use to install water pump seal on a dirtbike.

Important note! The threads on the crf250 water pump impeller are left hand threads meaning you have to turn it clockwise to remove it!
Also in this crf 450 2004? Please tell me
@@ManuMira_02 I'm not sure
Can you put a link to seal you used because I can’t find that same seal even when I look for oem parts
How do you know if you need to do the inner seal as well?
Is it bad not to do the inner seals as well ?
Would this be the same with the 05?
will this work on a cr85
So I got a 2002 crf450r sat it’s hole life, started riding it and now won’t start after getting hot, any Idea on what to check?
@@jayden2384 bruh he said it wouldn’t start, not it’s fucking seized..
Hey can someone help? I only bought the water seal and not the tranny seal. Is it okay if I just do the water seal? Or do you guys recommend to do both.
It is always wise to replace both seals at the same time
Is this "bad" seal what causes coolant to leak from my overflow?
yes
@@qryto5939 yup..noted..swapped mine out now I'm good to go...thanks for the info
@@BIGSWOLEBEATS hey man, you think i can just replace the water pump seal and not the tranny seal and be fine?
Hi Anthony! 👋
Who's this?

This is not the suggested way to do it. If your bike is leaking out of weep hole for longer than an hr than odds the hot coolant has compromised the oil seal as well. So you might as well replace both seals while you're in there that's why the kit comes with both seals.
Both seals replace and what about the ball bering?
