Thanks. Its crazy how much work it is to do some seals. Getting the old gasket off the case was fun
Just did this today, it was nice to follow your vid instead of combing through my manual. I used a heat gun on the crank case cover before each seal and before the bearing installs and everything slipped right in without hammering.
Guys, feel free to give me any video suggestions - Good or BAD! lol Thank you for watching.
Hey man what happened to making videos about flipping PC parts on eBay? Came across your video and was really looking forward to seeing how you source your items and how well its going for you still? Anyways great video!
Scott Sales what torke on crank case cover bolts and clutch cover bolts thanks

Scott Sales I change water pump and bike still heats up any advice Scott?
Jonás Escobar Alfaro check that your water pump propellor is spinning. You can do that by taking off the little cover and run it for one quick second. You’ll know instantly if you too tightened the propeller too much. It could also be a bad head gasket. Do you have coolant or any discoloration in the oil?
Broo best vid of this kind of problem thank you men greats from Amsterdam
Thank you John!! I appreciate the respect. Let me know if you have any problems I can help troubleshoot 👌🏼
I just replaced all the stuff you did on your bike on my 07 wr450f. When I started the bike I immediately noticed coolant coming out of the weep hole. And a couple seconds after that I started to hear a grinding noise get progressively louder. I took it all apart and the bearing blew up. Some of the impeller made contact with the cover but I think it’s minor enough to not worry about. I’m wondering what might have happened the would have don’t that. Also it is normal for the impeller rod to be able to slide in and out a fair amount? Not completely out. That would be cool if you could give me some advice I know it’s an old video tho
If the shaft has wear on it, what can cause reusing that?
I still haven't figured out why people pull the clutch cover...
To change both seals
Drain oil I guess
@@makesnodiff587what's the clutch cover got to do with it, nothing
Nice video. My bike is an 03, I understand Honda modified the impeller in the 06 with a hole in it. Some suggest you can just drill a small hole in the existing one. Trying to decide if its worth $30 to by a new updated impeller or to modify my existing one. Thanks!
Bobby Lane thank you for the like! Good luck with the impeller, unfortunately I have no experience in it. If you do it make a video and send me it
Flat side of oil seal was originally toward the OUTSIDE of the cover, then new one gets installed with the flat side toward the INSIDE of the cover?
You are correct! I believe the last guy installed it wrong (me lol) and it was leaking. So install it how I did and you’ll be good with no leaks. Sorry for the problem
do you need to put a gasket or liquid gasket stuff on the crankcase?? great video!
Great question! YES I missed that step in the video, but it’s important to use a gasket with the cover.
Thank you for asking that
Question. Today I removed the water pump cover and could not remove the impeller. 2004 honda crf250x. It is stamped LH left hand threads with a arrow. It would not budge. Is there a way to trap the engine from turning? I put it in fear and used the break still nothing. Im trying to remove it to install my new boyesen supercooler. Let me know thanks
Put it in gear
How did you screw the impeller, the little “vortex”? Please let me know
I highly recommend using an impact gun it’ll be fast!
My impeller moves round when I try to take it off but doesn't come loose, how do I stop the shaft from spinning at the same time?
If you have an impact gun hit it with that and it’ll come of EASY!
@@TheCopyKeyboard I don't at the minute but I'll order one, I appreciate the fast reply thanks!
Good luck message me with any other problems and I’ll get you some help
Is the manual ok for crf 450 X instead of R ??
daniele gandin yes they are going to be the same thing. Good luck changing your gasket
Hi folks , how do you know when the water pump is Not working not more?
I have a crf 450 2008 and it does leak coolant from the exit /breathing hose !
You ever find out ?
Mines a 03 but noticed it today come from the black hose from the bottom of the bike mines has couple drops 💦
@@qualitystrength6274 I found out I put a different pressure cap radiator , then I replace with the right pressure number and problem solve. The water pump always been working just fine.
So I’m guessing you need to drain the engine oil before this also?
Actually the CRF has Two different fluids on different sides. If you want to drain the clutch side oil they yes. Otherwise you can drain it like I did
1 side is clutch oil
1 side is motor oil
is the same axis as the 450cc yfz?
Hey Wesley, what do you mean by axis? Thanks for watching! Do you need help finding a water pump repair kit?
The link for the repair kit didn’t work?
My bad man they took it down but we’re all good again 👍🏼 let’s get tour bike running. Link is also in the description again if this doesn’t work.

Good work on the video! This is awesome:) I have noticed a few drops of coolant from the weep hole on my 450r, but not nearly as much coolant as yours was pumping out. Are a few drops of coolant from the weep hole normal after a long ride? Or should I replace the bearings and seals like you did?
If you can rev the engine and see drops come out there’s an issue and I’d recommend a change.
If you ride the bike and notice you have a drop pooling up after you set the bike down then nothing super immediate... I’d ride it until you notice a problem or have the money to change it 👍🏼
ScottyGolf thanks man! You just earned my sub:)
Where did you buy the seals, gaskets, bearings, and shaft ?
ebay.to/2JEDlql
Sorry for the late reply I just reuped the link. You blow yours too??
Scott Sales yup I ordered a new kit from ebay and used this as a step by step guide to install. Very helpful video, thanks !
Link doesn’t pull up nothing just home of ebay
That’s what she said 7:10
are you a carpenter or a mechanic ? I hate to see someone trying to be a mechanic use a claw hammer
Eres un perro chido
Gracias amigo!
Si se mezcla el antifrezzer con el aceite de transmisión es la misma operación, se tiene que remplazar el oil seal o que recomiendas?
You really don’t do a very good job showing full detail and orientation of seals
