Buy WILD blueberries. They haven’t been bred for size or sweetness.
Basically all fruit is pretty good, just as long as it is in season, eaten in moderation, not sprayed with pesticides and it is not hybrid breed to maximize sugar
I have yet to find a place that sells fruits with these specifications (which I agree with).
@@edy3569 We're supposed to be fasting anyway
You are the only one I found so far who actually made it clear countries have different cultivation standard and pointed out an US fruit is not the same as EU/Asia fruit.
It's so depressing to know there is nothing safe to eat at all in the USA and we are basically back to being forced to "hunt" via searching high and low, to find sustenance that isn't going to poison us.
stop believing everything you see. This is the stupidest thing i have ever seen. If someone tells you not to eat fruit... run ...the misinformation these clowns spread is ridiculous
Kiwis, avocado and blackberries are all higher in oxalates so if it's an issue for you be cautioned.
Eh, as long as you stay under 30-35 mg a day you're okay. Avocados only have typically 15-20 for a whole, and berries even less.
I can not believe you put Apples at last ! My grandpa used to eat two medium red apples a day and passed away at 101 yeas old .now I don’t know what to think …
He's referring to modern apples. The way they are grown
@@MegaDrew1984 modern apples ! ? My grandad just passed away 2 years ago…now I’m very confused…
Maybe apples just had nothing to do with it.
Bummer, I love apples, peeled. 😢
An apple a day, keeps the patients away.... 😅
One thing you didn't cover is crabapples. They are good for you when in season but I can't seem to find them anywhere. Supermarket chains just don't carry them. when I look for them on line all they sell are the seeds for you to grow or the trees to plant in your yard. In order to get the best benefit of any fruit you definitely need to only have them in their season and in moderation.
I have seen fresh cranberries in health food stores in November
@@jameskantor0459 crabapples are not the same as cranberries.
I love blueberries and strawberries but am learning to like avocado.
good chocies and low in carbs
Sliced Avocado sprinkled with Everything Bagel seasoning is very tasty.
My favourite are dates, the smaller kinds and, of course, in moderation. Great in fiber content, loads of vitamins and minerals and a fantastic supplement for sweets!
Love avocado too, but have to be careful of the histamine load : I only eat half to one whole in salad, no more than that and never on its own…
dates rock, they make my stomach feel great, must be prebiotic af
Green apples have only 3.2 grams of sugar per apple. So eat those without the skin along with lime juice to stop them oxidizing.
Why without the skin? Majority of the nutrients in fruits and vegetables are found in and just under the skin.
Dr G I’m following your plant paradox program and incorporating my Viome results, seems to be working well my wife is doing the same and feels great! I am reading gut check currently on chapter 2. Thanks for the info doc.
why not green apple(unripe golden) or granny smith that have less sugar
Dr. Robert Lustig says most of the fructose in fruit is trapped by the fiber and goes on to feed your microbiom. I wouldn't worry so much about fructose in fruit. Avoid high fructose corn syrup in processed food.
Thanks for the great recommendations!
My favourite fruit is Cherries 🍒
ALL-time favorite: AVOCADO! I eat 5-7 per week. Next favorite: grapefruit I like them because they're LESS sweet than oranges. Next favorite: blueberry...I'm disillusioned about the pesticide news. I buy the organic, SMALLER blueberries; I'll have to research and discover the pesticide content. And...I instinctively buy the smaller fruits.
Thank you Doctor for your valuable information. Your videos are interesting, inspiring and educational.
Love this gut instinct !!!! 💚 and love kiwis with the peel 💚
THANKS! You are the doctor I needed so urgent! The fruits I love are oranges and cherries. I like soursop and passion fruit even if I do not know if they are high in lectins, but they are not easy to find.
Thank you so much for sharing the most important and valuable knowledge sir.
Thank you for your feedback!
I would say that just from those fruits and knowing I have leaky gut, insulin resistance, kiwis are the only fruit that clears my mind...pineapple in second place I think..now that Im having fermented food my body is in continuous shifting so, everytime I have to check what are the fruits that fit better.
I look at it like many things in life, its all trade-offs (not including chemical soaked foods). I love fruit, eat it almost every day-- the trade off being that i dont consume any other sugary foods. I'll crave ice cream, soda, and other sweets but not enough to replace my fruits lol
exactly. if you're eating fruits instead of artificial sugars, you're in great hands
Promenades taste so good, and the flavour is unique, but how do you deal with the numerous tiny seeds? Do you swallow the seeds, which I find hard to do, or spit them out after you have squeezed out the juice in your mouth?
Thanks for the nice tips
Thank you Dr. Gundry. You are saving lives.
What about green apples? Papaya?
You're welcome! Thank you for those kind words. Green apples and papaya are fine in moderation!
I am trying hard to "Give fruit the boot" so thank you for the words of wisdom on grapefruit and blackberries...I'll change my shopping list.
Would you address homemade sourdough starter please. I am making my own sourdough starter with Millet ,it has not been easy but finally learned the trick. Hope to have my first sourdough loaf of Millet next week. Would you say Casava is better than Millet ?
You're welcome! Millet is naturally high in lectins, but fermenting it by making a homemade sourdough bread can be a great way to reduce the lectins. Cassava contains less lectins than millet, so we highly recommend trying it out! 🙌
@@GundryMDYT Wait a minute. You have always promoted Millet, as it's a seed not a grain, but now you're saying it's high in lectins?!?! I have been eating millet based on your recommendation.
Very helpful. Thank you !!! Myself love kiwis, pink grapefruit, avocados, peaches and green apples, pears.. and yes the Italian form of tomatoe sauces ...yummy
Canny have grapefruit due to blood pressure medication.
Only in recent months have I started having Avocados! It’s my breakfast on Sourdough toast.
Wild blueberries are small, wild, and not hard to find frozen.
Indeed, this man is my favorite doctor forever! 🙏🏼❤️
Why cut the ends of kiwi 🥝.
I usually eat the whole thing
I get the dried tart cherries at Costco. If my gout acts up I pop a few of those in my mouth and it's much better the next day!
I've been drinking sweet lemon limeade to not get sick made with water, Splenda, lemon juice, and lime juice and I haven't been sick since before covid. 🎉
Thank you Dr. G
You're welcome, Jeffrey!
Does it make a difference in terms of digestion, insulin, and fructose absorption if I eat a lot of mangoes with lots of avocado's together?🥭 +🥑It's my favourite combination😋😋😋 I also eat pineapple and avocado together 🍍+🥑as well as fuji apples 🍎+🥑 I sin with avocados with raw honey. Basically totally obsessed!🙈🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑
Hi, quick question about the Kiwi section. What's Dr Gundry's reason for cutting the ends off? Thanks!
Thank you for submitting your question! Due to high volume, Dr. Gundry is unable to answer every incoming question. We will submit your question to our growing list of FAQs. Thank you!
Did you ever had a Kiwi? The ends of a Kiwi are inedible stalk, the same way you don't eat the ends of a Banana.
Thanks ….daily avocado and Kiwi work very well for me….down 10 lbs….getting close to BMI❤
We're so happy to hear that! 🙌
Thank you for sharing
Thank you for your feedback!
Hi dr. G, how about fresh figs?
Keep up the good work, big fan of yours!
Hi there! Thank you so much for your question. You can find Dr. Gundry's list of approved foods here: bit.ly/46qpXOx Thank you!
@@GundryMDYT thanks but figs dont figure in the list, i supose that they aren't a healtly option.
GREAT JUICY TALK !!
Thanks for sharing!
Fructose also produces advanced glycation end products and uric acid
What an eye opener.
Dr. Gundry, a question please. Having some lower gut pain, could this be linked to low stomach acid? If so, would pickled veggies help?
Hi there! It's always recommended to speak with your primary physician about any health concerns you have prior to ensure the right solution for you.
Thank you for your information ! But what about Cranberries?
Hi there! Thank you so much for your question. You can find Dr. Gundry's list of approved foods here: bit.ly/46qpXOx Thank you!
These lists should include oxalate content, an important consideration for kidney stone prevention. Raspberries, avocados, kiwis and others are all high in oxalates.
I hate to inform, but I think someone in Cental or South America has started growing grapefruit for sweetness. Yep! Got a bag from Walmart that was too sweet for my tastes. Grapefruit should be tart. Very disappointed cuz I enjoy sweetening it with my own sweetner like erythritol.
To my knowledge combining banana with berries in a smoothie blocks 80% of the good stuff in the berries. Is this true?

If only a nutritionist of each country actually did those tier lists each few years...
Different laws means wildly different lists. This is obviously true for most of USA, but for western Europe, especially Germany/France/Italy, it's completely different.
Thanks for the list - will start implementing the higher rank fruits to my diet more often
Blackberries have been tasting terrible lately. They taste dirty and full of chemicals. I think they should be moved down the list. My Favorite fruit is soursop guanabana! Yummm! 😋Sugar bomb lol.
Why didn't I get notified about this live 😭😭
All fruits are A++ in my book.
Lot's of those food's Will be up higher in NZ because,we aren't allowed to spray any types of pesticides on our food product's, but interesting all the same,
🍀💕I totally Loooove 1)Mango 2)mandarin and 3) watermelon, but never eat them as Im on Low carb diet😢.
My favorite are kive ❤
Raspberries are high in oxalic acid..hard pass I do blueberry blackberry and strawberry..will now add in some kiwi now and then
Look at the Mediterranean diet, they eat lots of fruit. They live longer then the majority of people.
I grow all my own fruit and low carb veggies.
Many thanks for your wisdom
Somehow I don't think we are supposed to eat green, unripe produce.
Bro, go to Asia, they eat unripe fruits every day. Mango salad, papaya salad etc. is all from unripe fruit.
@@VinnyViral Unripe fruit would cause an immune response.
I'm very surprised tomatoes score is so low.
My favorite fruit is avocado
What about Cantaloupe one of my favorites?
Cantaloupe is Dr. Gundry approved! He recommends eating all fruits in moderation.
I buy frozen organic fruit😊
I can confirm pineapple caused me big problems.
I don't have ANY PROBLEM with any type of food. No gluten issues no peanut allergies NO PROBLEM with night shades. I do have a high PSA number so TOMATOES are in MY superfood group. Sorry.
You missed to talk about my favorite fruit .. papaya!!!
man it sucks, apple my favorite fruits is apparently unhealthy
Apples are still good to go, especially when they're in season and you don't overdo it! Avoid those super-sized apples that are packed with sugar. Go for the little guys, like crab apples, for a healthier pick!
@@GundryMDYT Also granny smiths!
Can’t eat grapefruit while on a statin!
What about cranberries?
Hi there! You can find our comprehensive list of Lectin-Free foods approved by Dr. Gundry here: bit.ly/46qpXOx Thank you!🙏
My favorite fruit is avacado
Grow your own strawberries!
ah na, mangos on A tier? but strawberrys in C tier?
Green mango 😋
Q. humble request share some more Indian Asian raw fruits for better Gut health and gain mass muscle mass suffering from huge under weight issues issues
I love frapefruit
If we’re going to eat fruit that isn’t ripe & sweet, what’s the point? Unripe fruits are vegetables imo. 😜
Tomatoes have solomine!
aronia berries
How about guava and papaya?
Hi there! Thank you so much for your question. You can find Dr. Gundry's list of approved foods here: bit.ly/46qpXOx Thank you!
Guava iz a superfood, has lotsa nutritional benefits...papaya seeds grind them up in nutri bullet,, good for getting rid of intestinal worms. ..cassidy
❤️💖🙏💖❤️
Fun fact: Only Pinot Noir grapes have resveratrol.
what about passion fruit guava goji berries papaya etc
