    Basically all fruit is pretty good, just as long as it is in season, eaten in moderation, not sprayed with pesticides and it is not hybrid breed to maximize sugar

    You are the only one I found so far who actually made it clear countries have different cultivation standard and pointed out an US fruit is not the same as EU/Asia fruit.

    It's so depressing to know there is nothing safe to eat at all in the USA and we are basically back to being forced to "hunt" via searching high and low, to find sustenance that isn't going to poison us.

    Kiwis, avocado and blackberries are all higher in oxalates so if it's an issue for you be cautioned.

      Eh, as long as you stay under 30-35 mg a day you're okay. Avocados only have typically 15-20 for a whole, and berries even less.

    I can not believe you put Apples at last ! My grandpa used to eat two medium red apples a day and passed away at 101 yeas old .now I don’t know what to think …

    One thing you didn't cover is crabapples. They are good for you when in season but I can't seem to find them anywhere. Supermarket chains just don't carry them. when I look for them on line all they sell are the seeds for you to grow or the trees to plant in your yard. In order to get the best benefit of any fruit you definitely need to only have them in their season and in moderation.

    My favourite are dates, the smaller kinds and, of course, in moderation. Great in fiber content, loads of vitamins and minerals and a fantastic supplement for sweets!
    Love avocado too, but have to be careful of the histamine load : I only eat half to one whole in salad, no more than that and never on its own…

    Green apples have only 3.2 grams of sugar per apple. So eat those without the skin along with lime juice to stop them oxidizing.

      Why without the skin? Majority of the nutrients in fruits and vegetables are found in and just under the skin.

    Dr. Robert Lustig says most of the fructose in fruit is trapped by the fiber and goes on to feed your microbiom. I wouldn't worry so much about fructose in fruit. Avoid high fructose corn syrup in processed food.

    ALL-time favorite: AVOCADO! I eat 5-7 per week. Next favorite: grapefruit I like them because they're LESS sweet than oranges. Next favorite: blueberry...I'm disillusioned about the pesticide news. I buy the organic, SMALLER blueberries; I'll have to research and discover the pesticide content. And...I instinctively buy the smaller fruits.

    THANKS! You are the doctor I needed so urgent! The fruits I love are oranges and cherries. I like soursop and passion fruit even if I do not know if they are high in lectins, but they are not easy to find.

    I would say that just from those fruits and knowing I have leaky gut, insulin resistance, kiwis are the only fruit that clears my mind...pineapple in second place I think..now that Im having fermented food my body is in continuous shifting so, everytime I have to check what are the fruits that fit better.

    I look at it like many things in life, its all trade-offs (not including chemical soaked foods). I love fruit, eat it almost every day-- the trade off being that i dont consume any other sugary foods. I'll crave ice cream, soda, and other sweets but not enough to replace my fruits lol

    Promenades taste so good, and the flavour is unique, but how do you deal with the numerous tiny seeds? Do you swallow the seeds, which I find hard to do, or spit them out after you have squeezed out the juice in your mouth?

      I am trying hard to "Give fruit the boot" so thank you for the words of wisdom on grapefruit and blackberries...I'll change my shopping list.
      Would you address homemade sourdough starter please. I am making my own sourdough starter with Millet ,it has not been easy but finally learned the trick. Hope to have my first sourdough loaf of Millet next week. Would you say Casava is better than Millet ?

      You're welcome! Millet is naturally high in lectins, but fermenting it by making a homemade sourdough bread can be a great way to reduce the lectins. Cassava contains less lectins than millet, so we highly recommend trying it out! 🙌

    Canny have grapefruit due to blood pressure medication.

    Does it make a difference in terms of digestion, insulin, and fructose absorption if I eat a lot of mangoes with lots of avocado's together?🥭 +🥑It's my favourite combination😋😋😋 I also eat pineapple and avocado together 🍍+🥑as well as fuji apples 🍎+🥑 I sin with avocados with raw honey. Basically totally obsessed!🙈🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑

    These lists should include oxalate content, an important consideration for kidney stone prevention. Raspberries, avocados, kiwis and others are all high in oxalates.

    I hate to inform, but I think someone in Cental or South America has started growing grapefruit for sweetness. Yep! Got a bag from Walmart that was too sweet for my tastes. Grapefruit should be tart. Very disappointed cuz I enjoy sweetening it with my own sweetner like erythritol.

    If only a nutritionist of each country actually did those tier lists each few years...
    Different laws means wildly different lists. This is obviously true for most of USA, but for western Europe, especially Germany/France/Italy, it's completely different.

    Blackberries have been tasting terrible lately. They taste dirty and full of chemicals. I think they should be moved down the list. My Favorite fruit is soursop guanabana! Yummm! 😋Sugar bomb lol.

    Raspberries are high in oxalic acid..hard pass I do blueberry blackberry and strawberry..will now add in some kiwi now and then

    Look at the Mediterranean diet, they eat lots of fruit. They live longer then the majority of people.
    I grow all my own fruit and low carb veggies.

    I don't have ANY PROBLEM with any type of food. No gluten issues no peanut allergies NO PROBLEM with night shades. I do have a high PSA number so TOMATOES are in MY superfood group. Sorry.

      Apples are still good to go, especially when they're in season and you don't overdo it! Avoid those super-sized apples that are packed with sugar. Go for the little guys, like crab apples, for a healthier pick!
