Phil, what is your secret keeping those black flies off of you. Is there a repellant that you use. Off doesn’t work for me and I would dare have exposed arms.

I ignore the black flies and mosquitos. When I am in areas with lots of ticks I will use permethrin treated clothes.
Phil i love watching your videos. But you need help with the mosquitoes. I live in Maine and a Thermacell MR450 keeps the bugs from landing on you. It puts off an aroma. This really works!! Look forward to the next video.
It works good and I use it but if it's just a little windy it's hit or miss .
Black flies and mosquitos don’t bother me that much. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that I’ve lived here my entire life, a specific blood type, my diet, they just don’t bother me much. When asked by my customers in the woods, why the blackflies are after them and not me I tell them I made a deal with the flies and as long as I bring them fresh food, they’ll leave me alone.
How do you deal with the bugs?... serious question. They are all over the camera, yet you appear to be unordered by them.
That’s Maine . They are used to it .
I do not use insect repellent for black flies and mosquitos. I have lived here my entire life and you do get used to them. When they are thicker I will wear longer sleeves and a hat.

What do you use for bug spray?
Many use deet and other repellents. I use clothing to cover skin when they get thick.
