I spent 35 years working at ANO, you could fish right at the discharge before 9:11, when it’s really cold the closer you get to the plant, the more the fish.

Great fight! My dad caught a 46lb flathead noodling! Grew up fishing the Kaskaskia River in Illinois and there are giants in there.
I fish a lot of the same areas as Cole(don't know him) but that dude can fish. He knows his stuff for sure! Glad you got to get on a few fish here in Arkansas.

He got you under that top water buoy. I hooked a big one at Senaca Lak in Ohio in January from a john boat and what ever it was drug me all over that cove. He kept running unbder the boat. I think it was big pike or walleye. I saw many flashes of silver but couldn't get a good look. I was using mepps spinner minnow bait. No steel leader because I did not expect that. He kept running under boat and we couldn't net him. He won. I got lots of big swirls and some flashes but could not get him up enough to even identify it. There was ice on the water in places. I pulled him off a log about 3 foot from shore.
I can't wait for the yellow bass to start running up the creeks here in Nashville area!!! They are such strong fighters

Those big cats are savvy buddy. My buddy used to say they're not done fighting until they hit the grease. We'd catch buckets of eater size channels jigging for walleye on the Rock River. You'd be structure fishing the Eye's and drift over a nice deeper hole and those cats were stacked up. Part 2 should be good also. Blessings buddy

Great video, too bad you didn’t get to see how big it was. FYI- I just got a $45 kastking rechargeable heated jacket from Amazon. It works good, the battery life could be better but I have another battery bank that works with it. Great for these cold fishing days.

Dude, I hooked a flathead exactly like that where I thought I was snagged and he fought the same way. Just stayed on the bottom and did not want to come up, that fish was probably 40lb plus. Haha wish you could've gotten him in!

Arkansas? You are cold. I'm in Ohio close the big ole Ohio River and it's like 8 degrees right now. Similar to White Bass, but with a brassy yellow color (vs. silver-white) on the sides, dark stripes that are broken and offset on the lower side in front of the anal fin, and two dorsal fins connected by a membrane (vs. separate).

Wow they let yall get awful close to that nuclear power plant.
I would never fish that close to one of those, I try to avoid places with known nuclear reactors in general.
Just not worth the risk.
All these nuclear plants should be located in remote places like deserts and the power pumped around the country.
Instead, idiots live all around them, and we let them steal out natural resources (lakes/rivers)
Don't get me wrong, I love nuclear power, we need about 30-50 more new plants like yesterday, I just don't like where they put them, ever.
