Yeah a big mullet is a really good catfish bait! My PB channel catfish was caught on a big mullet aa well. Nice big blue catfish! So how is that Tamu set up holding up for you? I was skeptical about Tamu at first. Great day guys.

You should have seen the biggest fish i ever caught.....that thing grabbed my line and took off. I wrestled, twisted pushed and pulled, reeled in, fed line and pulled some more.....i finally got that 8 foot log off the bottom and floated it to the bank just as easy as tugging a bow tied shoe loose.....but i saved my best lure!🤣
Even if it's a tad small, you will take it home, differently a flat head cat. But a big flat head you should take home for jay an the kids to eat for dinner.
Nothing like bringing your buddy along that’s never caught one over 10lbs and your landing all the fish😡I always get just as much fun seeing a fishing buddy catch one too!
Just personal preference. And mainly for this spot when I am bumping it down I feel like I can keep up with my line better as it’s bouncing off the rocks. I’ve used baitcasters when doing the long cast bumping but just seem to overall fish better with a 6000-8000 spinning reel.
Good video, but I gotta say, just because your using a circle hook doesn't mean you don't have to set the hook, you should always set a hook regardless of what kind of hook your using
Circle hooks are designed to hook up under pressure. Not with a direct hook set although you can still hook them with it on a hook set from time to time. I have found best success with them by just reeling hard into the fish and usually when the fish pulls back the hook is set really well. Thanks for watching!!!
