That's why their name is like that.
Orang Utan. Two words. Not one word. West ppl love to spell things wrong.
Orang = Man
Hutan = Jungle and Forest.
Orang Utan = Man of the Jungle/Forest

Everyday I watch that smile at 2:42, it's so beautiful, we need to save these precious beautiful smiles from becoming extinct
This one has to be one of my favorites, right after the Gorilla Robot experience. It's amazing to see the intelligence of these animals in their natural habitat. Human beings are extremely advanced and have more brain development but that doesn't mean animals are less intelligent. They just live a life differently from us, and I think you'd have to be pretty smart to be able to survive in the wild, making use of what you have without relying on technology. I love this so much, it's a beautiful experience to capture.
That's literally what it means lol
Wild animals are literally coated with parasites. Hunter gatherer humans were too. In the wild every organism is absolutely full of creatures leaching off them.
I mean they quite literally are less intelligent than us.
We use more intelligence for survival, whereas other animals tend to use more physical ability and instinct. Although other great apes are still incredibly intelligent, even if they aren’t on the same level as humans.
@@SkinnyMuscles69 At this day and age that might not be true.
I, too, hit strangers with branches if I am suspicious of them.
It is the only way to reliably discover the synths.
NUKE ISRAEL forsooth
If you were to see a girl in the middle of the street and you tried to interact with her, while she's sitting down with almost no movement on all of her body except her face, and she still barely acknowledges your presence, you wouldn't try to get too close unless you tried to check if she's ok
Honestly impressive how intelligent theses animals are.
No the animals
Pastel Pepe what does Africans have to do with any of this? Are you a bum?
All animals are smart. It's lies from humans who wish to exploit animals who claim otherwise: www.watchdominion.com
@Nah mate High scores on the DNA match with bananas too 🤘
Nah mate Yeah so, let’s just paint all Africans with the same brush why don’t we? I’m African and could definitely learn a thing or 2 from animals that have nothing close to any modern technology.
2:42 that smile is so adorable😍😍
Props to the people who made this robot spy orangutan look so lifelike. The expression on her face when she got slapped with the leaves on a branch by that young male had me bursting out laughing!

Am i thee only one that thought the robot was spooky looking?!?!👀😂
The creepy eye gave me the full body shivers. Horrifying.
Very spooky looking
Well it is a robot
yea creepy af
Its called the uncanny valley effect, basically something too close in appearance to the real thing yet something weird and unnatural is going on. It's a defensive mechanism of our brain to identify potential dangers like a diseased person for example. As long as we don't perfectly mimic humans or use something far enough it doesn't trigger our empathic responses we'll feel that when seeing robots.
Baby orangutans have smile like old cute grannies.

Marcellus Wallace it’s still just a theory
@@meyr1992 "just a theory"
General language and scientific definition of "theory" are two different things. "Theory" as in "evolutionary theory" is not a speculative guess. It's backed by evidence, like fossils, DNA analysis, homologies and even direct observation on species with short live circles. We can even interfere there and show that they adapt to preselected factors. The simplest explanation for all of this is that there is an interaction between the species and the environment which selects predominantly the best flitted. Over the course of generations some characteristics where more favorable than others and are now more common. That requires that heritability, variation and mutation exists, which we can proof in all three cases. We are still working on it and discover new things everyday. Progressing knowledge is what we seek by the scientific methodology to which it is crucial to proof things wrong. Everyday scientists all over the world work on proving each other wrong and try to improve our understanding of how it works. It truly is an lively and interesting field.
Marcellus Wallace “we” good one
