      @Ponfi That lotus is not a slow car. If the reliability didn't kick in for the renault engine, it would have been Grosjean 2nd in the other lotus.

      *Nine* consecutive DNFs at Interlagos from 1995-2003, and iirc he led at least three of them if not four or five. In that 2009 race he finished 8th after a puncture, while Button came back to 5th and the world championship.

    Kobayashi didn’t get enough recognition for his Suzuka podium. Qualified 4th, ran 2nd for most the of race, and brought it home 3rd in a sauber (their last podium). 5 months later he’s not even on the grid...

      @@noobednatherium4082 no it wasnt race winning potential, checos podiums were down to strategy and tyre saving that year. They were still well behind red bull and mclaren most races on outright pace

      And then of course in the race, where 1-stoppers had the advantage anyway, he got a puncture to finish 8th. Because Rubens at home was just cursed.

      He only managed 2 poles but more podium finishes than any other driver that year including 3 wins. He had as many podiums as McLaren.

      Let's not forget the Ferrari was practically indestructible as well. What it lacked in pace, it made up in reliability. Hamilton and Vettel would have easily beaten him if they had the same reliability. Nonetheless his driving was incredible, definitely turned me from Alonso hater to an Alonso fan.

      @@roflcoptero Villeneuve was the first Canadian to win a race, first Canadian to win in Canada, it was Villeneuve's first win and on top of all that it was the first time the Canadian GP was held at the track in Montréal (it had been held in Québec before but it was in Mont-Tremblant). It's hard to get something more significant than that.

      He was also screaming in pain because he had a gearbox issue and was driving one handed many times to prevent the car going to neutral and losing the race

      His radio transmission makes me tear up every time. The pure will and determination needed just to finish that race - not to mention win - is astonishing. It's one of those very special moments in F1 history.

    I knew Senna’s would make the top! What an incredible moment in history, broken gear box, and he never won that track, the anxiety, the pain. Yet the master of Monaco did it, lifting the flag up high. Seeing him needing help getting out of the car always makes me sad.

    I was 10yrs old in '91 and remember my dad and I watching Senna win, I didn't understand that much at the time but do remember telling my father that the #1 car will win, having seen it a few times since then I feel the emotions of such an occasion.

    Hockenheim race 2019. Vettel from...what was it?...last to P2. On the last German Grand Prix, in terrible conditions ( Rain ) from last place to Podium shoud be in the list.

    This is my favourite top 10 in the history of the channel. Senna 1991 had to be no 1 and great they included Kobayashi 2012 and Webber 2002 because some of the great moments were not always winning ones.

    Kamui in japan 2012 is magical for me because i was there.
    I thought f1 gonna include torro rosos win in monza. That moment is unforgettable for the team, everyone is happy in the garage and after the race.
