Yup, and in Baku those kind of battles often happen. The long straight is in my opinion to long, yes you get good racing but you can't tell who's faster because it's so hard at this sircuit to get away from the driver behind.
What red bull does, should all teams have to do: let teammates race with eachother!
I mean, racing with the same car/material is the best kind of racing

@@rishiishere. true, it goes against the team's goal. But boy nothing gets me off the seat faster than teammate racing between each other. I'm a RBR fan, and still, i wish they could go on battling till the end of the race. Idc if they crashed, that scrap gave me more excitement than probably all but 3 races..

Max and Lewis in Austin was fantastic, title on the line if he can overtake one of the toughest drivers on the grid, wheel to wheel for like 5 corners in a row switching back on one another, culminating in a make-it-or-break-it move around the outside that he had the momentum for only to get sucked off by the marbles. Actually Vettel v Ricciardo was shaping up to be one the best battles of the year a few laps earlier too before the red bull nuked itself again.

Hamilton Vs Raikkonen in Monza should be in top 3, the crowd is amazing.
The crowd has nothing to do with the battle but I agree it should be top 3
Hamilton and Bottas doing a victory lap together after finishing 1-2 seemed really cheeky to me but I thought it was hilarious.
Saw the full race when it aired, there were at least 4 more clips they could have chose from, so many battles between those two! They were dueling each other the whole time, one of the best races this season. Sad that Kimi lost in the end because Ferrari's pitstop strategy sucked (nothing new there).
for me italy was the most exciting race
Iâm sure next year will give us more of these battles...

If you want to see more battles there are other championships like indy, formula 2, blancpain etc. F1 is not all about battles and every fan should know and accept it. Still this year was plenty of them so why the hell do you still complain?

There's a reason why verstappen is in all of the clips in the top 3. This sport really needed him.
And he would be on top list of contact with other drivers as well. He pretty much torpedo fast but lack of mature, he gonna need some more time to be a champion, only if he don't ride like first half of the 2018 season.
heâs entertaining, fast and F1 is more interesting with a character like him in it, whether people like him or not
He is absolutely brilliant if everything goes to plan, just like in the second half of the season!
@@twanplays4837 that is the same with other drivers as well... Like Vettel first half season, Kimi second half of the season, Leclerc second half, Botas mid season. So yeah when all of drivers goes to plan (not Ferrari plan) then yeah.

Mexiuz 7 Yes, the 2018 car was miles worse than their 2017 effort. Their corner speeds were down on 2017, Alonso was the fastest of anyone in Turn 9 of Barcelona in 2017 but nowhere in 2018.

bottas almost won in Bahrain, China, Baku, SilverStone, Germany, Russia and maybe a few others. and everyone says he needs dropping. if it wasn't for some bad luck and Team orders Bottas could've had Vettel in the championship
@Kiwi_91 Ye he had some bad luck as well as having to yeild for team orders, but aside from Russia, his 2nd half of the season was actually quite poor...that being said if he drives again at level next season that he was at beginning of this year (or better) and hopefully with no bad luck this time, then he fully deserves to get another contract from Mercedes.
Almost won't cut it in F1.

@@Balnazzardi some may think that he lost his confidence and had no motivation to drive whatsoever in the last couple of races. All the shit thrown at him prolly gave a massive hit to his self confidence. He is a great driver, he just needs to be more rude on track and some more luck too, just like Rosberg needed to beat Hamilton.
@jimpe True, but also what he needs is to find more pace during qualis.....Rosberg atleast was able to beat Hamilton in qualifying more frequently and although quali isnt everything, it usually gives you better chances to have better strategy in races...thats why Vettel also so many times was ahead of Kimi, despite Kimi not driving poorly, its just that whoever is ahead in quali and thus usually in the race's opening stages usually gets better strategy.
But ofc beating some-one like Ham in quali is easier said than done, just saying that Bottas at very least has to drive better than he did during 2nd half of 2018 if he wants to keep his seat.

Because US fans rather watch lot of car crashing and left turn driving in circles. I love the country but they prefer other kind of sport and value tradition.
Firemarioflower unfortunately for them NASCAR is all but dead.. actually kinda sad but i transitioned to formula 1 very easily... once I discovered Atryon Senna's legacy the rest was history... formula 1 fan for life
