I hated seeing Cody's Wish lose his winning streak, but I'm glad to see White Abarrio get his step back under his new trainer. Congrats White Abarrio!!! 😍😍😍
I’ve been following this horse since the derby last year and I honestly don’t think he can get the classic distance without some pace to run into. He may have improved, I’d love to be wrong and see him win the classic. But this horse has broken me so many times😂
So someone walk me through this. White Abarrio is well known at this point yes? He goes off at 10-1 for a mile and an 8th. Nothing special about the pace and he pulls away fore an easy win. Now he’s the BC Classic favorite? I sure hope so.
Search on CZcams: "Breeders' Cup Classic: Rick Dutrow on White Abarrio". He explains the changes that were made to Abarrio (his shoes are the main thing), and how he's gained weight, and how he's been training. Warning, if you listen to it, you'll end up betting on White Abarrio to win. :-)
Im glad that White Abarrio won I feel for Maple Leaf Mel, and I know Cody's Wish will come back to win, next time, he will ein again at two turns, it just wasn't meant for, today😊😊
Codys wish showed his true colors, hes not a two turn horse and didnt deserve his low odds. He has been over hyped with the cody kid story liine. Hes no better then the horses he competed against today. White abarrio ran a solid time as did zandon in beating the codys wish. The idea that codys wish was a super horse or should of been a single on multi wager tickets was ridiculous.
Junior actually said that he wasn't handling the track well, and he believes that's what contributed to his loss, and buddy, nobody said the horse was a super horse by any means, it's just a very beautiful sorry. Sounds to me like you're just butt hurt because you bet the horse and he lost
@@montanamountaingarden476 the horse opened at 1-9, and lots or most analysts I heard talked about singling codys wish in all multi wagers. way over bet. I never bet codys wish,I think he has been over hyped going back to last year because of this cody story. The cody story was good last year but its getting old. Basically they named the horse after cody for the make a wish foundation. I get it. Move on to some new stories. The horse is a nice horse and thats it. They are over playing the story line.
He may not be a two turn horse, but that doesn’t mean Cody’s Wish is not a top race horse. He-along with all racehorses-deserve our gratitude as every race they run they put their life on the line-as we all witnessed tragically (again) on this particular day of racing.

I think the story of the trainer of the horse that died maple leaf mel is a far better story, fresher, newer. How she survived stage four cancer. That was a tragic loss.
Keeps the horse's mind on business, sometimes horses who are far out in front like White Abarrio was tend to ease themselves up before the race is over, having the whip just makes sure the horse keeps his mind on business. And jockeys are only allowed to make contact with the horse a total of 6 times with the whip, most of the other action you see is them just waving it around
If you look closely, he only made contact with the horse 4 times, every other time the whip is just being waved either in front of the horse's eye or out behind Irad so that it makes a popping sound

This has always been a nice horse. I think a mile and an eighth is his distance. I would put him in the BC Dirt Mile not the Classic.
If you listen to Rick Dutrow's CZcams interview today... you'd be all in that he's going to win the the BCC with ease.

I agree….completely overhyped. It’s not like he’s another Afleet Alex….who deserved all of his hype. Alex lived up to it…he was special.
