"Great" is a word thrown out too loosely nowadays. I've seen one truly "Great" grey Thoroughbred and that was Spectacular Bid. I believe that he either equaled or set 10 track or world records during his time. He was one of the very few horses which had the potential to break a record every time he raced. Silver Charm and Unbridled's Song could be in that "Excellent" conversation along with his son Arrogate.
What about holy bull
Agreed, Holy Bull was exceptional and my opinion would be in that Excellent category. If we go back a bit we could probably add Native Dancer in the "Great" category along with the Flying Filly "Mumtaz Mahal and her father The Tetrach. @@user-hc2wi5cu7n

Cannot understand some Jockey's in their Riding Tactics!
Subjective ,the front runner was NEVER settling taking the lead from the start, but you could see with its head on the side abd jerking on the bit with the Rider hands up constantly swinging against the Bit, rather than placing Subjective in behind others Runners to get the Horse to relax!
The Horse had run its race was obvious the moment the challenges started level pegging past the 700 m.
The Jockey allowed Subjective to work itself into the Ground thanks to very bad judgement and poor riding from its Jockey!
Sad for the Horse 🐎 Owners and Team who put so much time into these Beautiful Horses 😢
It happens that it is the Jockey's poor Decisions that make it so hard for Horses 🐎 in the Run to the Finish.
Hopefully They can find a Better ,more suitable Jockey 🏇 for Subjective in the Future 🙏
