Who would have throught climate change would affect keeping an aquarium...
I had major issues last year with really long heatwaves.
A cheap alternative for anyone need a short term solution without spending lots of money are USB fans.
Or pedistal fans. They are great for a few days of high temps.
Just remember fans increase water evaporation.
Excellent video Tommy! Great breakdown of all the equipment! THANK YOU Tommy!
Very Good and Very Informative Video because I am in the country where cooling the aquarium is a big issue. This video gives me good support. Thank you, Green Aqua
🎉excellent as always, neat and precise .
Good afternoon, very clear and giving us several options…, now it is our turn to get one or another.
I know that we have more feeders than days in a year, but i miss the Rondomatic 400 model, not this one but the idea… for shrimps is the perfect as you put the correct amount, even you could have some days empty.
You have my like 👍🏻
Informative,Thank you team GA
You're welcome, glad you found this useful.
always interesting information. thanks for sharing legend
in Vietnam 28 degrees c is good temperature
I installed the simple Jebao with a Red Sea kit, it's perfect for a simple PPS pro fertilization. Slavery units are avalaible with Jebao too.
Very nice information my friend. But you forget the most important to tell. When the water vaporation is higher the co2 level will also go down because of the higher vaporation it's faster out of the water
I needed this video, it's becoming very difficult lately
💚👍
I wander how hot the temperature yours tank water is? Cause we have to dealt with 33~35 °C now in summer
The Chihiros Doser is not compatible with the Wifi hub.
Chihiros fan have a new version with app control 20 speeds and smart temperature control that will adjust the speed of the fan according the the water temperature, super handy and most time will keep the noise to minimum
We use aquarium chiller
Tommy, you did not introduce the Collar aFan which, due to its small design, is probably best for nanos only but suits your eyes much better and is said to be less noisy than others. Any comment on these?
in south of thailand avg intank water temp is 30 lowest is 27 highest is 34.
In my country it's hard to get temp below 26 by using fan can only get 28-29. But it can easily get 32 without using fan. For using an intercooler/chiller can get to 25-27 but the problem is the price. Only a few can afford to buy it.. the meaning is in my country which is Malaysia for us everyday we had war against temperature fluctuate problems 😂
Maybe try rigging some pc fans. They are pretty affordable and might be worth looking into.
Amazing video!!.....i have a question....if i use cooling fan....do i need to increase the co2 bps?or it will be fine how it is? I mean if i use cooling fan do i lose more co2?
No need to increase the CO2 if you take care of the evaporated water 👍
My tank water ranges between 26°C and 31°C. I live in the Philippines.
Some easy plants can still work in that condition. But delicate ones need cooling.
It’s been 100+ in Texas but I don’t use chillers. The house is always 70 degrees.
Most Americans don’t have to worry, ACs are more common here. I’m in Utah and it’s the same situation.
In Indonesia we make aquascape with 30°C
Grab a snack... well, ice cream fits the topic.
Good catch 😀🍧
Is 22-23 degrees ideal for fish? I thought it’s supposed to be 26-27?
depends on the fish
Exactly what I needed. Inside of my house has been reaching 80 degrees F during the day
Too late for me, summer over in India here
Ops maybe next year then 👍😜
In America, we use what’s called central air, it’s these little square holes in the ceiling and it pushes out cool air controlled by a thermostat on the wall. We generally set them around 72°F/22°C
What about a chiller??
Would be an excellent option if you have the space and the budget. Sometimes this is the only way to run your aquarium.
@GreenAquaShop Can you please do a master class on plumbing a setup? Sump or complex systems? I run an FX4 but with custom valve setup to have reactors in line to make adding carbon etc easier. Thank you!
Hey guys I have a question 🙋♂️ … I want buy 2 assassins snails , but I have 11 amano shrimp …. My question is , the assassin snail can eat shrimps ??? 🤔🤨🧐
Will not harm them. Amanos are a beast! 👍
Ouh, that's why my plants are trash now...
From 23c to 27c and stable 27c for the last 2 months
is it just me, but those fan set ups look like they are using computer fans?
Some of them are more resistant. But you can also build one with a good qual computer fan and some 3D printing for the holder. Maybe not that nice, but it gives better performance.
Could be. Computers fans have been popular for DIY solutions both for cooling LED chip fixtures and the tank itself. However I'd expect these would be less prone to accidents and humidity.
this was just one big AD!
Well they are a business first and foremost
Dude I wish I could find those chihiros or JBL coolers in México, summer strikes like flames 😅🔥🌞
Sure, but Tommy makes it fun !
Onlyfan video :)))))
No chiller in this video
Nothing to learn it's all about consuming
