Thanks for the helpful video. Question though: you are talking about going wireless for the rear speakers. I can wire them, what I can't do is run wires to the front height speakers for Dolby Atmos (I have one set of speakers running to the front, I can't add a second set). Will the same system work for them to run wireless? My amp (MRX 740) does have pre-out for height speakers.
Nice tips guys! Is this amp have an auto-switching On/OFF feature? What amp model are you recommend?
another grat video from dreammedia and svs love from the UK..
This is what I was looking for.
Thanks Larry and Zach. Geek centric is perfect for me LOL.
How does the quality compare to an old rocket fish from 13 years ago? Also would it be possible to run in conjunction with the rocket fish or would there be a conflict. Was thinking atmos speakers for the rocket fish and regular surrounds for this model. Thank you
You’re welcome. I contacted svs and gave them this idea while Q&A’ing if their gear was going to work how I was pitching to set this up to make it work.
Is there any delay or lapse in audio? Also, lets say i have a 7.2 denon avr. Would i still be able to use my other 7 wire speakers at the same time with these two wireless surrounds?
Great presentation, for sure.
Hi , I don’t have a pre-out on my onkyo receiver and Ibhace done set up . With normal input ( let’s say from I phone ) it works cool. But if I connect amplifier surround output it gives jarring sound . May be it’s because of high amplifier Signal . What can I do . Shall putting attentuator help after output form amp ?
Zach, you and Larry make great videos together. "Wireless" surround sound, awesome! Great tip about checking pre-outs first. I am finding this video very interesting. This is some rockin' tech. SVS is making some awesome toys! Great video topic guys.
What is the power of sound receiver ? Do you have battery in receivers adapters ?
What about a 7.2.4 Atmos setup using Pioneer Elite speakers/subs and a Marantz SR6013?
Is this a wireless Atmos set up? I’m struggling to find a wireless Atmos that’s .4 without it being connected to a sound bar
And the power cables of the rear boxes?
Nice video I have yamaha rx 385 and acoustimass 5 series v. Can this work for me because I need more speakers. And how many surround speakers can u connect to this device
you would need one kit for each speaker?
I like the ones on the surround sound on the ceiling because there's no room the Bluetooth is perfect
Can I run 2 or more of these or will it run into transmitting/receiving issues?
You’d need to adjust the volume of the wireless rears separately then I would guess?
wireless but you still have to put power to them... with a wire
would i have to buy two more for the front l/r?
What is the affect of latency? Is it noticeable? Esp, for home theater use? With wired fronts and center combined with wireless rears utilizing the SoundPath and Prime Wireless speaker combo, is latency noticeable before any room correction is applied. Meaning is the latency significant? Thank you.
latency can be mitigated through distance manipulations on the speaker distances setting
There is still a cable runs between the two rear speakers. Is there an option that offers one transmitter and two separate receivers for each rear speaker?
Yeah, you can get the svs triband kit and add an extra receiver…. Will run you $300 though
So you still have to run wires from one speaker to the other? Only solves one issue.
Only works with powered speakers. You still have to run wire from one speaker to the next and provide an outlet. Unless I’m missing something
With the powered speaker option, you do have to plug the speakers or one speaker into an outlet and then run a wire from one speaker to the next. With the amp set up, amp has to be plugged into an outlet and then speaker wire from the amp to each speaker. Basically it's wireless from front of the room to the back of the room then wired from there.
not true. you can use the amplifier to make any speaker powered
Tony Micelli thats the main reason i dont understand why wireless speakers are so popular.
aslong they need (obviously) a power supply, they are still cable powered. Before i would run power wires to the „wireless“ speakers, i would go for the classic build.... from Amplifier to Speakers with regular wiring. there is always an option to hide cables which are running from front to the back, even if you have to use 15m cable to the surround speakers.
my biggest problems with wireless speakers would be:
- eventually loss in sound quality
- electronics, the main things i hate in HiFi Tech... they are always outdated and dont last long. thats why i love proper, passive speakers, they last „forever“ and wont get outdated as it is with electronics/audio formats
If you use an amplifier to power your rear speakers then the amp has to be plugged into a power socket on your wall. Then, you have to run speaker cable from the amplifier to the speakers. I understand that you’re eliminating running long speaker cables from the receiver to the speakers in the back of the room, but calling this a wireless and a “genius” system seems to be a bit of a stretch in my opinion.
Nice
Hello ! I saw something in this video that interest me . That compact stereo amplifier looks like a perfect solution to power my two passive subwoofers . I don't have much space available and my Marantz NR-7110 doesn't have subwoofers amplifiers built in like my old receiver did . Can you provide me with the make and model of this compact amplifier or suggest me another that's equally compact but designed especially for subwoofers use ? I really appreciate what help and suggestions you can offer me . Thanks !
its 150X2 at 8 ohms. I dont recommend that to power subs ..
@@Dreamediaav Thank you for answering . You forgot to state the brand and model number . If I use this one , low pass filters will be used at the inputs. Again thanks , and let me know if you find one that's designed just for subs . :)
@@mrpedrodrodriguezsr7628 I note it is not even on their website. Not surprised run a couple flat speaker wires under an area rug to the back floor standers....practically zero cost. I do like the solution for wireless subwoofer though.
Does anyone know if I can use the wireless speakers and receiver with my Sony STR-DN1080?
Hi is it possible to the wireless kit for a 5.1 setup?
When you just hooked up with your speakers, you hooked to receiver, then only one speaker?
what if my AVR has regular/banana plug inputs, not RCA?
i have one from Rocketfish i got from best buy like 6 years ago. Still works good, but it says 75 watts on it, but I think its sounds alright. cost 100 and it powers my two non-powered speakers.
Does this work with Bose Home Cinema?
I love your videos. IMO this is A solution, but far from genius.. There is so much you have to buy, I'd just look into the new Sony wireless system.
Is this better than say a soundbar system?
i have a bose lifestyle 48 system that i want to make all 5 wireless. is this possible?
so where do i buy this?
So you put Atmos in the title, but don’t mention it.
Basically you just need the height pre outs?
Correct. You can pre out any speakers with this to make them “wireless”. Thanks for watching!
One module per speaker hmmm it sounded really awesome at the beginning till I heard the price lol good idea tho but way too pricy
What is the Device name and where can get it?
I can’t find the powered SVS speakers anywhere
Zack,. coooooool.. but wondering about the sound quality bc they're wireless.
Would this cover a full surround sound front back woofers center
System
I have a Onkyo TXRZ50 and I was thinking about putting a fool wireless surround sound in connected through my Onkyo?
question what about the wireless of the receiver?
this turns any receiver INTO a wireless option
This is cool and all but not all of us have a reciever with preamp speaker outputs... my search continues..
Who makes the Wireless Transmission Kit for pre out connection? $119.00 You never said in the video.
Ok... How much?
what about if you want atmos type speakers in the rear but need wireless? I am looking at the Pioneer atmos speakers but it looks like you need separate inputs for the main speaker and the top firing speaker. is there a way to do this?
Good day all
Can the sub signal be split from the receiving adapter via a Y connector to send the signal to 2 subs
Hello. I want to setup wireless side speakers for atoms. What do I buy?

@@Dreamediaav is Monday good ?
it is :)
Is it possible for other speakers other than SVS ?
i think thats what the second product was for
Yes can be because I have edifier can work perfectly
But Iam facing problem with atmos elevation speaker because it's without RCA just binding post
How to change it
@@mohammedoueiti8804 you need an extra 2 ch amp to hook to RCA from receiver then speaker wire from amp to speakers binding post.
What if you use a cheap amp that doesn’t have autosensing and needs a trigger? Does the receiver have a 12v?
Cost?
Very expensive to get all the pieces
I love how you guys answer at least one question that was posted on here -_-) you guys have zero sale skills.
You just gave out misinformation bro. The Prime wireless speakers are 50wx4. It's not 100w each speaker. There are 2 seperate 50w amplifiers in each speaker. 1-50w amplifier for the tweeter and 1-50w amplifier for the 4.5" woofer. You can't combine the wattage because the way the prime wireless speakers are built, the wattage of the Amplifiers in each unit is 50w each. This means the maximum output from each speaker is 50w.
Thanks Robert-
Noted! And much appreciated. I’m sure we just got things mixed up. Filming all day can be an exhausting task. We appreciate the comments 🙏🏼
I think This is not the perfect Solution. Still you need to wire two rear speaker and they have to amps on them. I working on a better solution, i will share it if i able to do.
why are you running left and right on 1 surround speaker, does not make any sense
That dude's hair tho
you like?
You would think if your doing an audio video would make sure your audio on your video was right, but your wrong.😅
What about atmos speaker connection solution
use the same processes
@@Dreamediaav but at back of atmos elevation speaker there is only binding posts ,there's no RCA or auxiliary input
What I do ...advice needed
@@mohammedoueiti8804 you need a 2 ch amp that has RCA inputs and speaker binding post for outputs.
It was cover in the video. Watch it again
First, if your sound quality on this video is garbage, then I can't believe you
This defeats the whole purpose. You are still running bunch of wire behind the room. Better solution is to hook up a Sonos connect and use a pair of wireless speakers. No wires running between the speakers, no wires running from front to back. It is also cheaper than 500$ pair of speakers plus wireless kit.
Shame you couldn't have got a couple of decent mics to make your video considering all the tech you are surrounded by.
Hahahaha! Clowns!
Grabage. Wireless will never bee the same or better then wires. Here is an examole. To get getter internet speed would you rather connect via an etbernet or would you rather go wireless. Pretty obvious answer.
To say anything will "never" be as good is just ignoring advancements in technology that we've been witnessing for decades.
@@GingersKing Well it sure hasn't since the invention of wireless has it? Yeah maybe when we are dead in 40 or 50 years it may.. Lol
@Anthony Martino Anthony from one Italian to another... Lol I totally agree man.
@Anthony Martino Been running a cheap one in my bedroom for 2 years. Never had an issue with interference.
Your wrong 802.11AC can go up 1.3Gbps where most consumer ethernet is limited to 1Gb.
Man, you’re talking about sound but your audio on the video sucks. I’m only mentioning it because I stopped watching after your mic work, heads up
