I shot my 709 until I got tired of loading the mags. Had bought another mag from Taurus. Over 230 in one sitting, no misfires. My barrel is blued. Good luck with it.

Wow that's awesome. I really wanted to love this gun ,but haven't had any luck with it, thought maybe I was limp writing it (as I can with any of my Glocks and Beretta) so double handed tight and still no luck, was gonna try a new rod and spring but none available, guess I'll try new mag as this factory one is only one I have

this is true with anything man made , but i also have a Millennium Pro. 45 and its the same way. ive tried polishing ramp and battery with no luck and even bought another mag to try with the slim but it wouldn't even shoot so i sent it right back. im not impressed with these older models and i cant even get spring and rod to try that as i cant find for either gun, I do have a G3 and its a much better quality build and no issues with it to date. but i still prefer my Glocks for EDC as I feel i can definitely depend on them and very accurate, thanks for watching Vassmotorsports and hope ya check out some of my other videos

I have had what seemed like the two prongs on the magazine, that holds the rounds in place, bent to far inwards. This caused a failure to load. After bending the prongs outwards just slightly the failure went away.

I've tried a few different brands and thought the Winchester was gonna work ,then it did the same thing but not as often. I have a PT145 Millennium Pro. 45 and it's the same way. Thought it liked hollow points(cause the short nose) better but still had a few failures with that too , i polished the ramp and battery area but they get caught before even touching the feedramp. I definitely want to like them but I sure won't depend on them or carry them, I'll stick to my Glocks. Get another magazine to eliminate that as being an issue and it's always good to have a spare mag or two. Lightly polish the breech face, the chamber, the feed ramp, and the lockup points on the barrel. Polish the ramp on the underside of the slide. Lightly oil and shoot a box or two to mate all of the moving parts. Good luck.

I have a 709 slim. I’ve probably run more than 1000 rounds with no issues. I’ve shot high end hollow points and Tulammo with no issues. Maybe you got the one that was made on Friday afternoon. I also have a Millennium that I’ve run more than 1000 rounds through with no issues.
I did have a Beretta .40 cal that always jammed on the last round until I got a new magazine.

Actually a nice gun for the price. To me it's a knock of my son's FN , haha. You are correct, I don't have lots of experience except my revolver which can't jam , I did start holding tight and it seems better but it doesn't like FMJ as much as hollow point ,I guess because the shallow nose length, also I can shoot any of my Glocks and Beretta 92fs one handed all day no issues ,so I'm still not sold on the slim 9 or pt145 Millennium. @Vassmotorsports Back when ammunition was so tight I ran across a bunch of it in different Cals so I bought it up a bunch for range ammo.
Really dirty, smokey, dusty with almost a graphite residue.
Almost like it had a filler or a huge amount of unburned powder.
Now the revolver stuff works fine. Other than dirty.
The 42, 43, and 17 just don't like it, the 21 tolerated it
Hang up, short cycling failure to eject.
I burned the last of it up last week in essentially a single shot 42.
Now the brass itself seems pretty decent though. So I might be able to get some good reloads out of it.
Ironically, I've shot Wolf and all the other cheap brands for years and haven't had an issue.

Never a problem with magtek. Four taurus pistols , a smith, and a ruger.

My opinion: Just save your money a little longer and get a glock 26 or better yet, a sig p365. Then you can actually count on your EDC.

haha thanks, I already have a 26 and few other Glocks that are my EDC's. they're definitely something i feel I can depend on and never had any issues out of them. These taurus are junk as far as im concerned

Have both in 740 slim and 709 slim also have a pt111 G2 9mm, excellent pistol and have various calibers and pistols in Taurus and and other brands, magtec worked in my other caliber options but my 380s and my small 709 does not work reliable,, some new guns require a break in period using FMJ round, could be the magazine lip slightly bent
Not had any problems with mine
But most of mine are used and most look like that they were unfired or very little my biggest gun i ever fired was a 8"
203 mm self propelled artillery gun 🤠👍direct and indirect fire, and direct fire is AWESOME✨💥✨💥 😎💯
Try different FMJ and JHP some work and some don't have several 1911a1 in 45 acp and some Taurus pistols in 45 acp
Some like Hydra shok and Starfire and some don't, and some of my pistols are the same brand, but you have to find what is best, have,3 pt738 in 380 acp , one
My new one fires any brand of 380, but one of my other ones don't like Starfire, magtech, or gold Dot, but fmj, and Corbon works?, just find the right brand that works 110,% some of mine still needs more rounds, I have some that I need to shoot around 120 rounds to get the recommended 300 or more manufacturers break-in count

Thanks for watching Vassmotorsports, ive tried few different brands threw it and FMJ and hollow point, but it seems to jam on any , I only have the one mag so I'm gonna try another one and see if that helps , tried polishing feed ramp and didn't help, it's used and fired before I got it , same with my Millennium Pro. 45 except I figured out it does like hollow points, but I don't feel I can trust either of these. I have a G3 and it's been flawless and seems like a much better build. I have few different caliber Glocks and love them and never an issue yet ,also my Beretta 92FS is probably my favorite and a reputation that backs it up

Without seeing the magazine , but I think it might be something that is slightly off, maybe the spring or follower or feed lip on the magazine, mine only came with a 7 round, and i bought 2 /8 round magazines off E-bay they also have 10 round magazines but have not tried them, but the 8 round ones work
My 740 slim came with two 6 round magazines, but I have thought about getting another one for it, but my slims are a second back up and pocket carry
My EDC is a Glock 33 gen3 with night sights and a Lazer Max guide rod Lazer and 125 grain sig elite v-crown
And a Taurus 3,"ported stainless 327 magnum and 100 grain gold dot JHP and a one of my Taurus pt738 with 102 grain golden saber and corbon 90 grain+p ,and extra speed loaders and spare magazines , loads of 1 ball and 1 JHP in 380, JHP in 357 sig and 327 magnum Carry but 2 speed loaders with 3 100 grain fmj and 3 gold dot 100 grain or 115 grain JHP
Maybe your 709 slim load a JHP and a FMJ 🤔

I kinda want to get 2 of the 10 rounds and spare 7 round magazines, but I'm still kicking it around , but I did get 2/ 15 round magazines for the pt 111G2 that actually holds 16 rounds,
Came with 2/12 round magazines , they also have a 32 round magazines also, might have to get a few, especially since we have this invasion of our country 🇺🇸,🤔 it's not going to pleasant and it's not going to get better either 🤨

@13BravoBiggunsM110SP I agree with that. I just ordered an 8 rd and want to see if it fixes my issue. I don't want to spend any for more mags till I know cause if it doesn't work I'll be selling it anyways , I'm looking for a nice 1911 cause I missed a hell of a deal on a Kimber custom ii few weeks ago and still kicking myself cause was such a sweet deal , the dang pawn shop gave him the cash that evening before I could go meet him and now I want one ,doesn't have to be Kimber but wish I could have scored that one
