I have the 709 and 740 slim they are good guns I bought them new for 175 bucks my 740 is fde color it's my favorite I put night sights on both. I own many Taurus pistols and revolvers ive never had any problems out of mine either but I only shoot usually once a month. Summertime usually twice a month.
Works fine for what I need. Never had a stovepipe or misfire. Great gun for the price. Beats a high priced Glock
I don't mind those triggers either. The safety blades are prone to break on the older Taurus models but I've not had that problem personally.

My 709 don't have Taurus on the left side, but have noticed some do ,my 740 does , they must have had different Gen/and production versions
