    I like to put two hearts, wrong side together so that the heart is visible from both side. I sew around the edges leaving an opening to add fiberfill. Sew the open raw seam closed and fray the seam allowance around the heart shape. I like to add embellishments of buttons, lace, strings of beads, ribbons, etc. So much fun. I love the method you use to make scrap panels. I cut the heart shapes from card stock. Ann from Va.

    These are so cute. Made scrappy pieces from reclaimed denim jeans (all colors) and will cut into hearts to add to my Instant Pot cover made from the denim pants legs. Thanks for the inspiration! 😍

    Hi Jan… first time I’ve seen your videos… for sure subscribed! Love the hearts… I also like to sew cut the back in 2 pieces the fold down 1/4” on each side… sew leaving a gap to stuff then sew the opening together… easier for me than sewing the opening on a curve… seems like there is more wiggle room!
    Love your channel!

    These would make great scented sachets for dresser drawers by adding lavender or a favorite scent, or make about 5 little hearts and place them in a decorative bowl for display on a coffee table or shelf…

    I Hate sewing on lines, rather make it larger, and sew with a 1/4” seam allowance, much easier, smoother, and faster use PINKING SHEERS!

    • @JanHowell
      @JanHowell  Před 3 měsíci

      Whatever works best for you. Some others may agree, but it's much more challenging for me to sew small things like this and keep the edges aligned. Thanks for sharing.
