I use green painters tape to mark the right side as I find pins sometimes get in my way

Nice lesson--i have lots of old sweaters waiting for a new life! Though I don't recommend using pins on leather, since holes will remain, but when it's soft suede, it is less noticeable.

How do you make the leather sole not slippery?
This looks amazing, I’ve made slippers and socks out of fleece before but I’ve never done it with felted wool. Definitely will make these. Happy New Year 🎊🎆🎈

Thanks. It may seem like that, but when following the steps in the pattern, when you add the lining, it may look like repeating.

hello Jan Howell very nice slippers the last part hand sewing it closed did you have to hand sew it together or could have you used the sewing machine if you really wanted to??😊
You could, however you will see the stitching on the sole.
I think when you are turning them right side out you edited those clips twice into your tutorial. Nice pattern!
It looks like it because you have to flip it twice.

One question: When you sew using leather bottoms, do you use a leather needle or do you find that a universal works?
I use a denim needle or a 110 universal. Depends on the thickness of the leather. Test a piece first.
Would it be okay to sew a tacking seam to hold the top, overlapping area together first?
Sure, however I've never had an issue with it. The pattern was designed to fit snug around the foot.
