Woohoo, he's back đđ
It's been a while
Id be quite interested in a video on your rental empire. Iâd imagine dealing with tenants is a bit of a nightmare.
I may do one in the future if people ask more about it, I'd only do it if it would help people start up themselves!
Great to see another video
Thanks for letting TwinCam drive your Mini. What a screamer. He sent me over here, and damn glad of it. Your cars are a credit to you. Wow!
Hi hun just purchased a mini one , Grey . Just come across you today . Omg how amazing are you . Will be back I have to go and play a tennis match đđđđđŸđŸđŸđŸI đWill definitely tune In To learn and hopefully I will be able to apply some of your upgrades đ
It's not British if it don't leak oil .
If it was me get the seal done and leave the engine as is .
Great catch up, I thought Twin Cam had kidnapped you & nicked the Mini. Excellent walk round, all looking mint. Advantage of the excellent summer, is we have been able to get plenty of use out of our weekend cars
Thanks Alex for video, the cars are immaculate.
Welcome back! Garage extension. We are working on the same. Spent the last two days sorting and boxing up materials in prep for the demo. Nothing like trying to figure out new parts are for a current car or one Iâve sold years ago.
good to see you back Alex
Hey Alex, I spoke to you briefly at beaulieu......
I can't believe you pushed the mk1 on the motorway......
I wouldn't be able to live with that leak..... it would have to get sorted....
Another great video Alex. Thanks for the update.
Good to see you back at it mate.
Good to see you back
Nice to see you and your cars again.
Come on!!! You're Alex Toon, you know that the engine is coming out of the van, don't try and kid yourself đ.
I'm on best behaviour mate as I don't want to go crazy and make it a rocket van đ€Ł
@@classicminidetails8887 Oooo! The draw would be strong on that one Alex, a proper wolf in sheep's clothing.....just imagine it.....na mate you stay on best behaviour lol
Good to see you back Alex. Love your minis!
I love the MK3 as it reminds me of my fathers car that I used to drive back in the 80s, a bit of a rot box but I went all over init.
They are a great model
Glad your back
Loving the update and welcome back đweâve missed u !!
G'day,
Glad to see you back. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens over your winter.
âïž Peace from Melbourne Australia đŠđș.
Love your channel and thanks for the update. Cant wait to find a mini for myself as a build
Hiya Alex-good to see you back on channel. Enjoyed the video. Keep well' hope to see you soon.
I nearly missed this video! Good to see you back, we all need our 'fix' over the autumn/winter months. Good to see you at Stanford Hall, and thanks yet again for allowing the photo with my Mini. If I'd seen you on the motorway, I'd have pulled over to help! Enjoy doing all your little jobs over the winter, I'll be doing a fair few myself too. Look forward to the next vid!
Great to see you back Alex ! great update.... yeah, keep that MK1, thats the Holy Grail !
Good too see your back buddy
Great to see an update video. I saw your mk3 at L2B this year but sadly didn't get a chance to say Hello, but it looked great! The other cars are looking lovely too! Your Mk1 Cooper will always be a dream car for me, I'd keep it for now untill prices for houses go down a bit at least.
My later Cooper S leaks about the same as your van, its mainly from gaskets and general wear and tear as its unrestored no one has really ever touched the engine or taken it apart. Its not a massive amount compared to how I've seen others in the past but i need to get it sorted as I try to keep mine as concours as i can although there will always be jobs that i want doing haha
Great video, I'm glad you've been enjoying the cars. That brake down didn't look fun though on the m6, but i guess its all part of using and enjoyed old cars :) đ
Nice to see another original fan!
Morning Alex. Just checking in to see if all is well . I know you're always busy but hope you are ok . Cheers !
Nice one, saw you and the mk 3 at mini in the mountains , lovely car đ
I have stumbled cross your channel "MINI'S" and not the bmw type either Yeeha đ đ đ đ
Glad that you're back.
I believe that all minis had corme filler caps, all early one definitely did. Please don't replace those proper Cooper S wheels on the Mk1. I'm surprised about the modified under bonnet details on the van. With your fastidious attention to originality I'd have expected you to have replaced the rocker box attachments etc..
I think the new wheels will work well đ
@@classicminidetails8887 I don't but each to his own, it's your car after all.
Good to see đ you are back Alex. I don't blame you for enjoying the hot summer we had here. I have said it before winter is for working on cars and summer is for enjoying them. That was a bit of a bummer having to push the car, nightmare đł , bet nobody offered to help either. I wouldn't worry too much about the oil leak, it's a classic. If you had been around in the 60's and even the 70's most streets and carparks had oil stains in them, quite normal. Thanks for the updates Alex. đđBTW keep the Mk1 fella at least until the situation improves.
Will probably hang onto it now mate, bad timing putting it up for sale ATM I think
Lol wish I could upload a screenshot right now. Sitting in the mini in the garage because only place I could get some quiet and I was as going mad. Have started the restoration now
Nice to see you again, i see Tom has reappeared as well? Just need Upbuild to get back to youtube and thats my winter viewing sorted!
had a 1970 mini clubman in bronze yellow no cover on the handbrake petrol cap wasin body colour
Thanks mate
Always the perfectionist Alex .....love it ! Much to my surprise the Mk3 is becoming my favourite and "Cooper S " tax đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł Good to have you back Alex . Hope someone gave you a push mate !
Nope everyone drove past đ€Ł
@@classicminidetails8887 l could say a very rude word that starts with a C and ends with an S......and it isn't Cooper S !!đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł Can't believe nobody would help !
@@johndavey72 not everyday you see some dude pushing a mini up the M6 out of a wheelchair đ€Ł they must of thought they were seeing things
Yes very noticeable, I have one glass and one plastic lol, totally different colour
Hi Alex, TBH I would hold on to the Mk1 as it's a better investment in my opinion than property at the moment!... just incase the bubble bursts and property market falls!
Also there is a world wide market for Minis and thus you will never be out of pocket plus she is pretty!!!
Br Andy
Too jealous and wish I had only the space lol
Really enjoyed this! Do love a mk3! Iâm biased đ
Mk3 is the most usable one for sure!
@@classicminidetails8887 looking forward to the winter jobs đđ»
Fantastic video and a fantastic collection. Loved the walk around. You should call the cars, Murray, Imperial and TicTac because they are Mint. â€ïž
đđđ€Ł
Just caught this Tooney
I liked the video by Twin Cam on your Mk1 Cooper S.
Why don't you re-key the fuel cap on the van so it uses the same key as ignition and doors?
I like the non-locking caps alot, I've kept the cap so I might do that what you have suggested too!
My girlfriend is a wheelchair user, and I drive a classic mini. I was wondering if you had any advice on fitting the wheelchair and girlfriend in the car I canât seem to get it in the boot or in the backseat any advice?
Typical landlord, win win for you eh. Nice.
Hi mate, hope you and yours are well
Looking for help, I remember seeing a vid you put up where you went and got a set of LT leads for the van. Iâm after a similar set, can you tell me where you got yours from as I canât find the vid. Cheers
HT Leads
i've seen worse oil leaks, wheres it coming from? diff output covers or the gearchange oil seal (not sure what box you have in it) also on the van - sound deadening pads and door trim would quiet it down?
Right front the diff housing mate đ
@@classicminidetails8887 where diff housing bolts to the gearbox? Bummer, that is an engine out job.
@@MiniPerformance yes mate, I had minicanics look and he gave me the great news đ€Ł
Mine leaked nothing last 3 years been sitting
Is electricity that expensive in England, where you have to choose to keep the lights turned off to charge your GO- PRO?
đ€Ł times are tough
Should *definitely* be body colour, those fuel caps on the Mk3. Anyone who says otherwise is just too used to seeing modified cars!
But early MK3s had MK2 bits đ
@@classicminidetails8887 i was thinking put one of each on to really fuck with people..
@@MiniPerformance đ€Ł don't
Why have you not got a rubber boot over the end of the ignition coil on your Mk1 a common breakdown in rain I'm an ex-mechanic 1969-2022 retired in 2019 when my bones couldn't bend anymore
Never had a problem with water mate, I rarely use them in wet weather
Do you have a link to where your selling your mk1?
The adverts no longer on mate
ÂŁ50.... mate I bet I have got some of them knocking about.
The cooper s wing nuts are different to the standard ones on the single carb air boxes, I tried to buy a pair from unipart back in 1987 and they were discontinued even back then !
@@pauljeffries WOW.... I think I have still got some, off some copper twin carbs.
Are you wearing a Tudor Black Bay?
Yes mate
Just watched 'twin cam' driving your cars.. hope you are getting a cut of his viewing revenue, lol
Come back
Alex, how on earth did you let your Cooper S run so low on petrol?? Whatâs going on good buddy?
Mate I did Manchester to Brighton on half a tank, then on the way home I must of been a little heavy on the pedal đ€Ł
@@classicminidetails8887 if only they invented some sort of gauge where you could see how much fuel was in the car..
