To people who say that fruit can not be put on pizza, I have one word: tomato.
Gino sorbillo is one of the best neapolitan pizza makers in naples and he has a pizza with pineapple in his restaurant based in naples. I tasted it, and it's GODLY, one of the best pizzas i've ever had. It has mozzarella, fumed provola, cacioricotta and the pineapple firstly cooked in the pan and after in the wood oven. Go and taste it.
I've always thought it's not the best topping but it surely isn't the worst. There's people that put corn on their pizzas!

Pineapple on pizza is actually a CANADIAN invention that was started offering Hawaiian pizza that includes ham and pineapple with tomato pizza sauce base and mozzerella on top in a Southern Ontario pizzaria and just took off.
