I'm from Naples and i tried a lot of pizzerias in my life, and i can say with confidence that the best in the world is in Caserta! Please do a video on this pizzeria, i don't know why it did not become popular outside of italy but here it is a known fact. It is called "I Masanielli di Francesco Martucci" and has won 3 times in a row the title of best pizza in the world by "50 top pizza" and they well deserve it. Da Michele is good but it is the old style of pizza making, now there is a new style that is taking italy by storm, and no food blogger outside of italy has tried it, i highly recommend it and you cold be the first!

Not really a great Pizza restaurant as a whole. A good restaurant where you can eat a revisitation of what pizza is. Like I'd never say to anyone that that is the best pizza I've ever eaten or something like that. I'd recommend those restaurants to someone who wants to try something new. We should honestly follow the example of Japan and differentiate the tradition from the innovation, giving more importance to the first.

Here in Naples, is a tradition that pizza must be a type of food accessible to everyone, that's why you can find it at low prices. During this summer, a famous person called Briatore decided to open a restaurant selling pizzas at higher prices, and ooooooh boy you can't imagine how the neapolitans took that. By the way, here in Italy we have so many kind of pizzas!
For the next time, I highly suggest you my preferred one: “the bufalina”!
It’s a pizza with a ton of buffalo mozzarella (that has totally a different taste compared to the normal one) and fresh tomatoes!
But actually I’m a sauce lover, so I ask for the “red bufalia”, in this way you get an amazing margherita, with a ton of buffalo mozzarella, red sauce, fresh sliced tomatoes, basil and just one bite of it brings you directly to the heaven!
For tonight I definitely have to schedule for a seat in a pizzeria hahaha
Other than that, must try are:
-“the calzone”, that’s basically a folded pizza stuffed with some magic sauce and Neapolitan salami
-“the montanara”, which has only the dough fried but on the top it looks like a margherita, so you can see the sauce, the basil and the mozzarella, not like the “pizza fritta” that basically is the fried version of the calzone
Believe me or not, this is just the tip of the iceberg 😂

I grew up thinking that, well, pasta is just supposed to stick and there's nothing else you can do other than stir, stir, stir. And then I befriended an Italian who used pasta that he had brought from Italy. He let it boil for a few minutes tops, stirred once or maximum twice, and it turned out perfectly al dente. That was when it clicked in my stupid brain and I was like, yeah, Italian pasta is definitely made different.

Napoletana has Fresh Mozzarella instead of skim shredded, which usually soups the pizza a bit if still has some moisture in it, but the flavor and string of it is unbeatable.

Yeah this is why NYC is so often sold by the slice. Not much sauce, tons of full fat but dry cheese, medium thickness crust well browned on the bottom. They can make a pie then leave it out; they briefly pop it back in the oven and even if it's been left out for quite a bit it still tastes great. And in fact you can take the pie home on the train or have it delivered, or even have it cold in the morning. We have the fresh mozz pizza too, with its little dollops of mild cheese (which is all it can take of course!) on top of sauce and fresh basil. At those places obviously you scarf down a whole pie right away as fast as you can, that's only been made seconds before.
Brett's choice of Joe's is nothing short of bizarre though. Not that it's horrible or anything. But being from Long Island (in fact from of the more Italian-American parts) he should know better; I'm sure out there he passed several better pies on his way to elementary school!

We also have that in the Western part of Romania called "langos". The two classic choices are either just fried and topped with a mixture of salt, pressed garlic and water (called "mujdei") or stuffed with "telemea" which is veeeery similar to feta except it's made from cow's milk rather than sheep's. It's such a delicious fix when you're out and about and feeling a bit hungry.

    NYC pizza is the best.
Pizza in Naples has a soggy base(like a wet sweaty gym shirt) with carcinogenic, bitter black spots all over. Topped with a watery, soupy sauce. A pizza so sloppy, it must be eaten with a knife and fork.
The cheese is good, but eat it fast! When the cheese cools, it turns to rubber.

Some of best classic NYC pizzas are at Joe's (the one in the video), John's Pizza on Bleecker St (just around the corner from Joe's), Scarr's Pizza (the best slices in the city), Lombardi's (oldest pizzeria in America), Patsy's (now a franchise, but go to the original in East Harlem), and Prince St. Pizza (which is the original "Original Ray's" pizza). Go to Joe's, Scarr's, and Prince St. for slices, go to the others for a sit down with a whole pie. There's also legendary pizza in Brooklyn like Di Fara's, Totonno's, Lucali, etc. if you want to get out of Manhattan for a minute.

I grew up in Europe and travelled a lot. Since a few years I live in the USA and I have to say, it’s shocking how many Americans have never left the country. And many Americans think the USA is the best country on this planet. What is not true! The USA is a modern 3rd world country (what is not good 😉). If you want to go travel international, I recommend you travel to Europe first. Europe is very safe, compared to the USA with their extremely high crime rate. If you are a female, I don’t recommend traveling as a female by herself to any muslim country. Check out the weather. For example I would only travel to Europe in summer and to the Maledives (one of my favorite vacation destinations) in December - February. Australia has summer when the USA has winter. Always have a international power plug adapter with you and be sure your phone provider works also outside of the USA. Inform your family or friends about when you are staying at what hotel when you travel.

    • @Denyo666
      @Denyo666 Před rokem

Just do good research where you will stay and the famous attractions nearby, and also check how to get there and how expensive it will be. For example you land in Paris, check already what the taxi prices are or how you can get to your hotel from the airport in a cheaper way (public transport). Also do some research before what the famous local cuisine are and the best restaurant where you can try that local cousine. Do some research also regardig excursions, because often it's cheaper if you plan it yourself than with a group tour.

  • @thetravelingirishman4372

I like American style pizza, and New York style pizza is definitely very good, but Neapolitan style pizza is way better in my opinion. American style pizzas really appeals to our gluttonous side with its salty, greasy cheese. But Neapolitan style pizzas have a bit more of a sophisticated flavor to it. The crust tastes like delicious, yeasty flat bread rather than just “pizza crust” flavor. The sauce is simplistic and more plain tomato flavor. The Mozzarella is less greasy and salty too. I don’t necessarily think you have to travel to Italy to have Neapolitan style pizza though. There are plenty of places in Italy that have bad Neapolitan style pizza, and plenty of places in the US that have good Neapolitan style pizza. All about finding a restaurant with good recipes. Who cares what country they are in.
