- We're finally getting back out filming after a little break so are testing our gear seeing what we need to get underground.
Had a fan to meet after arranging to mine him some coal from a Burnley coal mine and another group member needed a job doing be wasn't able to do himself so we sorted that out too 😁 - Zábava

3 Stars of Burnley!
My Grandad were on the search party for the 2 boys. He said they went into old workings where there were fire damp!
That farmer if it's who I think it were is a A hole, has been all his life!
Thank you 😁 most farmers we meet are brilliant I think maybe coming through the fields made this one madder that he usually is 😬 we have had permission here before so I'm not sure what's gone on, doing some videos under Dean and sharing the boys story is always something were going to do though so we will be back there 1 way or another. 🤜🤛💙💙
@@NorthernMonkeys Hope you do boys, I did a project at Fearns High school on them, interviewing my late grand pops...got A* the class n teacher were amazed.
Presumably you tried to get in Nabb Pit coz you went past Carr Farm, try Grimebridge?
Correct 😁 I said to lads we'd have to try another way in in this video said the same as you lol 💙💙
Good to have you back somat decent to watch again
Thank you, we will have videos up regularly again now 😁💙💙
💙❤ great vid boys, nice to have you back .
Thanks mate, wait til you see the next video 😬😁💙💙
Oh boy, I'll nip into the workshop and get my old knee pads, helmet, and lamp out. And remanise about the good times I had with my old workmates down the pit. Memories of timbering up above the chocks trying to catch the roof as it collapses to some 12ft hight ect. On a 5ft coal face. It always amazed me when the trappaner and panzer were turned off so we could listen for the roof, bitting / splitting away. I swear we could hear a fly fart in the loader gate and tail gate . If the roof collapsed, we one or two of us above the chocks would have to drop down onto the panzer and get under cover quick ! Oh, what fun it was as an 18 -----‐24 + youth. Fast and nimble, yeah them days are long gone now that I'm old and batterd. But still very fond memories. Take care, lads.
Can picture it well from your comment 😁 hope your well 💙💙
Nice one boys, nice to see a new vid up of yours. Will save this for my Friday night entertainment with our lass 🙌🙌🙌🙌👍

Thank you were back at it now, always like to help people too especially our fans 😁💙💙
The small drum things look like pulling that were set along the road ways to prevent the haulage rope dragging along the floor, preventing friction to the rope and even wooden sleepers.but I couldn't get a Cleer view of them they were approximately 9" ×6" if that's helpful.
Always helpful we had no idea what they were 😁💙💙
I’d go mining with you boys, take a sack back for me mum.
32:40 What a smashing sight to behold. Now that brings back some fond memories.
Brilliant wasn't it 😁 bow have u tagged a time stamp on the video so it starts playing at that time ? 💙💙
@@NorthernMonkeys You just type the time in like … 32:40

Thank you happy New year to you too mate 😁💙💙
Come down to new hawne colliery we got a 30 foot coking coal seam here
It made me wonder about the quality of the coal - I'd have no idea what to look for but I would imagine you'd need reasonably good one for a clean burn at home?
👍for the clearance, and do encourage your friend to put some plants in that little patio 😁
We never knew the quality ourselves never actually burnt any lol, we stayed at the guys house for about an hour so got to burn a bit and to be honest it was kicking out some right heat 😁💙💙
@@NorthernMonkeys at least it burned lol. Not my fuel of choice but it's what he wanted hey.
@@MildaGoesWild You should get yourself down a coal mine, Milda.
@@jimbeam8042 don't think I should...
Guys does this mean that the canal bank Coal Race is on for this year 👍
Tbh I never want to run that race again it was the hardest thing I've done in years 🤣 some of the lads want another go at it though so we will see how it goes 💙💙
@@NorthernMonkeys I will Put up 30 quid for a viewers vote on who put the most effort in. So. We know who mentioning no names has a chance of a pouch of baccy and a pint
It's sounding more like a good idea lol, blows my mind the old timers could complete the race in under 10 mins back in the day, even the women beat all our times 🤣💙💙
Hi lads do you know any history of denholme coal mines I believe theirs a couple that might be worth exploring I've aways been interested in coal mining I'm loving your videos top lads 👍
Thank you 😁 not actually heard of the denholme mines, if I'm honest our local coal mines just in our town and surrounding town's have kept us very busy and there has always been something to do, I'll have a look at them online when I get home 😁💙💙
You r now coal miners lads told you it was in you blood. Where your mining i don't know how far you have to travel under ground you need to take some timber in to cover your head stay safe . ⛏️⛏️🐒🐒🐒👍
Thank you 😁 it was a flying visit this one we'll be suited and booted next time.💙💙
Shovel from the ground av seen a chicken do more damage
Must of been a big chicken 😁
