Smashing into Towneley Colliery Air Shaft

We wanted a look down the next shaft up as we are currently exploring this old coal mine and we dont believe its been filled as the other hasnt. We either make farmers very happy or very mad depending on how we meet, wonder what mood this one was in when he caught us smashin through walls 😬

As an ex coal miner & tunneler we called them checks, tallys or mottys they kept account on how many men where underground & yes identified anyone if something dreadful happened. I love your passion for mining. I'd go back down tomorrow even though it cost me the use of my tight arm & nearly killed me in a roof fall. Mind i can't say I miss the work. Take care lads.

We had the roof coming down around us when the cow we rescued from a mine started bucking it was scary stuff💙💙our passion is real its a different world down there hard to get the atmosphere across on a picture or video, as you will know yourself its something you have to experience yourself to understand.

How do you attach brass to brass?
