Hi Danie! A tip to help alleviate smell of chemicals during projects like these is to place a medium-sized bowl of white vinegar in the room overnight. It’s truly magical.
ohhhh GOOD TIP! I will try that
Or use a container with a layer of baking soda in it. The larger the area, the larger the container. It needs to have low sides, so it's a shallow container. For this situation, I'd use a "pop flat". You know, the shallow box that a case of soda cans come in. Stores with pop machines would have them. Then evenly spread the baking soda in it, but do not pack it down! For this situation I'd use 2 of the standard size boxes. Buy it at Dollar Tree and it'll only be $1 (US) a box. We use it in our frig to eliminate odors, why not in the bathroom ⁉️
Using the same technique, use charcoal in place of baking soda. Charcoal removes odors AND absorbs moisture❗
@@DIYDanie Apparently when painting, rolled up pieces of newspaper can help as well :)
Thank you that’s a great tip 🙂
You can also cut some onions in half put those in a bowl with water and place it in the room..
This is simply mind blowing.....
♥️♥️♥️ thanks friend xx
Agreed 😍🤯 i think I’m going to try this!!!
Alexandra Gator: I also love watching your videos. You are so awesome!
@@DIYDanie How does your redesign hold up to retaining heat? Know someone who did something similarly, but their dramatically larger than normal shower space made the warmth dissipate too quickly. I’m curious about yours since it’s more of an average size shower/tub size?
Queen!!
When you cut the hole in the hall wall, I started laughing. Every project at our home has similar circumstances. Instead of domino effect, my husband calls it scope creep: the scope of the project creeps outward and the budget upward! I loved the results, and they gave me some much needed inspiration for our front bath. Thanks!
We call it the cascade effect. Each one leads to another. 😂
Project projection (usually in every direction, LOL)!
A couple of decades ago a project to replace carpet with new carpet ended up with new hardwood floors, a kitchen remodel, new roof, new stairwell treads & spindles, and a new front door. Go figure!
@@dlsdyer9071 Holy cow! That's a lot of scope creep. ::blinks:: Really astonishing. In our case, we replaced a single A/C unit that had been embedded through our living room wall with HVAC. The HVAC was great, but when they removed the A/C unit they discovered that our living room, feature rock wall was a fake. We found two windows, a fireplace, and an extra 18 inches of space behind the wall! Now we have built-ins and a gorgeous fireplace!
@@linshannon4480 It's so great when you find "good" surprises!
@@dlsdyer9071 Yes, indeed.
Can we take a minute to appreciate, how much love and efforts she puts into her projects ❤️
#LoveFromNepal 🇳🇵
Thank You Arpita! xx
Yes!!! Never skips important steps!!!
ikr! I've learned so much and gotten such great ideas from Danie!
Are you serious?!?! 1st the magical cabinet and now the paneled wall shower? Are you secretly following my Pinterest and blessing me with tutorials?
Good minds think alike! ✨🦄
My husband is mad at you bc I'm getting SO many home renovations/DIY ideas from you X'D. I love your ideas and your style!
Living in France, I can attest that these half door things are very popular. I still have no idea how to take a shower without getting water EVERYWHERE! Yours looks so cute though...
Haha, I was wondering about that! Thanks for the heads up. Maybe there's a way to add a discrete liner for the other half, or just super caulk the flooring? It's so cute, could be worth the trouble.
Same. My in laws have that here in Argentina, and every time I take a shower at theirs I make puddles of water all over the floor.
This looks gorgeous anyways.
I was wondering the same thing about water going on the floor. It’s very nice looking though. Great idea.
Exactly. It's beautiful but there's no way to keep the water in. Would make me crazy having to clean up the mess. I wish it could be a bigger sliding door or something with the same style.
@@Arionlappy actually... you could probably do a sliding door version of this! Either doing the trick on both doors or just on the outer one for the same style with no mess.
“Maybe you guys watch me while you shower” * me in the shower* *turns around quickly and looks at the door* ‘is she in here’
Same though, I felt seen 🤣🤣
Me too!!
I also do this😳
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It’s SaturDanie!!! Best day of the week.
LOVE THAT. #SaturDaynie xx
YAYYY!!! Saturday is my FAVORITE CZcams DAY!!!! BECAUSE OF DIY DANIE!!!
YAAYYY!!!!
Yesss i wish there were 2 diy danie days but well, thats the price we pay for good diy
Me too @Sarah Jane xx
In total agreement!
@@warribe WE CAN HOPE!!! RIGHT! LOL
I have no skill nor the will whatsoever to do any DIY but I wait for your vids every week since I discovered your channel a month ago. I am so fascinated by how much of a bad ass you are doing all these ❤️
Thank You Jellianne! You can live vicariously through my DIY projects :) xx
Jellianne, same for me! Love to watch, not to do. ;) ♥
Not me watching this in the shower 😅 I don’t have a waterproof case tho so I guess you could say I love life on the edge
Put it in a zip lock bag. It works really well.
You are an amazing artist. Love your fun personality. Kenobi content always welcome. I am 75 years old, live in Northern Idaho. You are the bright spot of my Saturdays.
66 years old here, love Dani
The end result looks so good. I didn’t expect the tile paint to come up so glossy, it’s perfect.
Now that's what I call a transformation on a budget, for the majority of us who don't have much money. Thank you so much🙏
Oh God I actually do watch your videos when I shower. Not every time. Not now. But almost 3 or 4 times in the past 🤣
Love the Window “paned” shower DIY!! And the Matte Black hardware set it off! 😘🤌🏽
Danie: I watch CZcams videos in the shower. Is that weird?
ME: ARE YO TELLING ME THAT NOT EVERYONE DOES IT?!!!
Never in my life 😂
I just hope you all are covering your cameras when doing so otherwise someone really COULD be watching YOU in the shower.
Wow, this looks GREAT.😍
I'd love to see one of these half walls in a sliding door version. Something that is thin but still durable and also discreet enough that when opened it still looks like a half wall. Basically two panes of glass that line up so well that it looks like one. This way the one pane can slide over making a full wall when showering because I know myself.😂
LOL I watch DIY Danie while in the shower 🤣I feel so called out, I watched this WHILE in the shower
I don’t watch DIY Danie in the shower (bc i watch these videos with morning coffee every sat!), but do indeed watch youtube in the shower 😅
It's nice to know I'm not alone hahaha
Happy Saturday!! I'm totally showering while watching you refresh your shower ... that's not weird at all. heehee
It's only weird if you make it weird. ;)
🤣🤣 I was literally IN the shower when you asked if anyone else does that. Called out! Anyone else do this?
Looks very professional. I admire your fearlessness doing all these projects.
I really love how you give us updates on your previous projects.
yes, to the Harry’s…it’s a beautiful razor, weighted (well-balanced), rubberized handle…!!!
I love it so much...i mean as much as a person can love a razor?? haha
@@DIYDanie ikr!
This is the first time I don’t actually fast forward the “commercial” DANIE even makes the commercial interesting! 😂😂😂😉🥰
I always watch CZcams videos while I shower, and, yes, I watch YOUR videos while I shower, too. 🤭
Love how this came out. I’m not surprised, I love all your projects.
Looks great! Love the glass shower wall, sleek and modern! The rain shower head being straight down is a great way to keep water from making a big mess on the floor, 😉 smart. As always a fantastic upgrade!
🐼 Big Bear Hugs from a 67 yr old grandma in Kirby, Texas, USA 🐼 🖤🖤🖤
OMGoodness...oasis transformation complete!
What a greater way to start our Saturday than with Danie and her beautiful project's ❤️
Happy Saturday xx
The tub walls and the door look awesome! I love that look.
That bathroom just screams for an old clawfoot tub! Down the line it'd be sweet to rip out the basin and put a tub behind the shower wall like a wet room that has vintage farmhouse eclectic vibes!
I would end up being water everywhere with only half of the shower covered! But it's super cute!
Wow! Mind blown. Looks like you spent thousands! Thank for the inspo Dani❤️
Oh my goodness. I love the shower door idea. I have just spent 20 minutes in the guest bath measuring it out to see if it would work in there. Thanks!! You are amazing.
This bathroom makeover was already spectacular but this shower is now the cherry on top of the cake! So beautiful !
😍 Just a BEAUTIFUL job!!
You definitely have WAY BIGGER 🥎's than I do tackling a job like that!!
BRAVO!! 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I follow so many DIYers and your talent is incredible. I find most of inspiration from your channel and this is probably my favorite so far.
Thanks Kayla! ♥️✨
I have been searching for that shower door affordable option. I'm down for that DIY, thanks!
Cool, It's a fantastic resource for anyone looking to upgrade their space affordably.
I love your goofy personality. I can't believe you don't have more subscribers.😻
Love how you transformed the glass shower door, I just wish you had painted the silver fixtures on the tub drain hole and the one below your new fixture just to make it match your new hardware other than that really love how it turned out.
Fantastic job Danie! I love the look of the shower panel. Your are the Queen of DIY's ;)
Have to give credit. DIY Danie made me lol for her sponsor today. 👍🏻⭐️
Absolutely beautiful🥰 You are so talented! Thank you for giving us home owners with older homes hope that we can have updated houses without breaking the bank.
Oh Dani! A smashing success! I find myself quite a bit envious!
Ummm... do you find that the window wall does enough to keep the water in? It looks beautiful but I worry about water spraying out of the shower onto the floor.
I thought the same
I’ve heard it does not
Maybe it's okay in this case since it looks like the water comes straight down with the new hardware instead of at an angle like typical hardware?
We just stayed at a hotel with a similar layout and water went everywhere and it was so cold in the shower because there was so much air flow.
My parents have a shower like this. With me is ok, with my dad water goes EVERYWHERE
As long as you're not watching me watch you while I shower, it's not weird 😂
I love the painted tiles! It was obviously a lot of work, but it ended up looking so nice and it's so much less wasteful than ripping everything out and re-tiling.
You do realize EVERYONE is going to be doing this now.....genius !
I hope so! It's holding up great so far and looks beautiful!
I’ve actually been looking for a way to bring more light into my dark and dingy bathroom, I got a hotel shower curtain with a window top to try and help but this is more my style. I’d probably try to fog the bottom lol just to make it more private
Love the editing!
We did this in our 1st house and 10 almost 11 years later it still looks great !!! Good job girl!!!
beautiful......no need to replace. love that the glass panel pivots.
👏🏼 looks sooo good! Thank you for sharing, adding painting bathroom tiles to my list
YUSSSS
It's beautiful I love it your talent never fails ! I would definitely do this ❤️
Yea! It's Saturday! Hi, Danie!
Hi Ann! xx
I would certainly try this project. I spent a HUGE amount of money on a bathroom reno!!!!! Love it GIRL
I really liked this solution! I understand that it is a middle step do-over, but it looks really good!👍🏼
Hello Ruth, how are you doing?
That is such a beautiful upgrade. I'm not sure that wouldn't be my final solution!! You never cease to amaze ... no pressure.
I watch CZcams in the bath, is it weird🤷🏼♀️ just so relaxing lol
Love it all! Great job Danie and thanks for continuing to motivate us w/ every DIY. ⭐️
Love it but I would of frosted the squares for more privacy. Loved the black.
Saturday evening treat sending love from Philippines 💖
GOOOOD EEVEENNING!
Those 1/2 shower doors look cool, but I can attest that water ends up everywhere outside the shower. Also, Rustoleums above the water line boat paint is also great in bathroom spaces. Our builder skimped in the bathroom and used regular drywall instead of the watersafe drywall. We couldn't afford to rip it all out so after we made repairs and treated for mold I sealed the drywall with white boat paint. It has held up great in a bathroom that has no window and sees 2 showers a day with no mold or wearing of the paint. Danie, you are amazing.
If that was my bathroom I'd never leave it EVER 🤣🤣🤣
Dani, how do you keep the water from going everywhere when showering with only the half door?
That’s exactly my thought too.
Yes, I was thinking that... but I think an extra line of squares would had solve that
I live in europe and all showers are like that and I never never spray water on the floors i swear
my antie has a shower where there’s no door and no glass and the concrete and the floor is made in a way where the water can only go to the drain if it splashes and it’s really easy if you do get water on the floor you would have to squeegee it into the drain
@@gk_kleinmeyer that's asian style. Here in the states, we keep our bathroom floor dry because there is no drainage on the floor.
I 100% watch secular talk while showering! Lol.
Really thought she originally was going to frost it but have to admit it looks fantastic!
Never heard of these type of solutions! so interesting. And wow, the results looks amazing!
Love your thoroughness and quality, looks beautiful.
I've seen a couple of other people do that look on the shower panel using black electrical tape. Did you consider this?
Is the industrial window thing a sufficient splash protection? It doesn't look like it to be honest 😅 but nonetheless it looks amazing
I wondered the same thing. I think I'd want my glass door to be wider. Danie, please include in your update how this works for the splash factor. 🙏
Notice how she’s not replying to anyone’s question about this??!!
O MG THANK YOU.YOU MADE MY HEART SING. NOW I FINALLY CAN REMODEL MY BATHROOM.
Wow! I am amazed at the difference you have made! Well done ye!🚿
Absolutely love it! But I’m just wondering how you actually installed the door? I would have no idea how to do that. Anyway awesome job Danie!
I agree! I was waiting for the installation information but, alas, nothing. 😫
I think you just attach the frame to the wall and put the door in, it probably came with instructions
I watched this video just for that, and she basically just said like a throwaway comment on it. I don't get that.
Another fabulous project completed! Great work, Danie, as always. ♥ [I'm so boring - I say pretty much the same thing every week! LOL But it's Truth! :D]
Wow that’s blinking amazing 🤩 well done. I love it esp the window glass 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
omg so cute! Love there an option to paint tiles now, 😍 saves extra gut work. Beautiful
Shaving legs are not cathogorizes under personel hygine; if it is then men has to shave their legs too.
personal hygiene is both cleaning and grooming your body. yes, the more widespread idea includes more generic things like bathing, brushing, etc. which is recommended for everyone but it can be an individual’s choice as to what they categorise as their personal hygiene routine, maybe she likes shaving and that makes her feel clean and groomed. Stop shoving the men vs women shit everywhere.
this is great, i love your bathroom BUT the fact that you had to cut a hole in your wall to put up the new hardware? ugh. my bathroom needs a makeover but i'm not as DIY talented as you so it's a bit daunting TBH
As i sit in my shower watching this, it's not weird to watch CZcams in the shower.
I fell in love with those shower walls but this is a great inventive way to do it
Danie: they are not just marketing to men
Harrys: we call our brand Harry's, make black packaging, green and gray handles and oh let's only use men figures in our web design!
Me: I feel veeeery represented as a woman.. Not lol 😅
I am in love with the way it looks!
That shower door DIY was PERFECT! Loved it ❤️
Can’t believe this transformation! Amazing!
Wow! You must be so pleased! It looks fantastic!
Wow what a stunning transformation, it looks fabulous and definitely more your style. I'm loving the matte black fixtures. Take care.
Danie, what an amazing tub area !!! The glass door is stellar !!! Wow !!! Big love 💕
I am so impressed with your warrior woman attitude! Gorgeous results❤️
How clever. That door is so pretty! The entire space is just beautiful! Great job Danie.
Danny your videos are so well done! And so helpful! And the more fun you have, is what makes you a joy to watch .
This actually comes in very handy. I’ve been doing up our bathroom and we seem to be going for the same aesthetic but I was a bit too scared to remove a chunk of wall in our cupboard to access our pipes. We also have not the most ideal pipe work. But we’ll make it work!
I am always impressed about your determination to get things more exact not just halfway there and that makes all the difference in the world when you look at it it looks professional it looks just brings it up to another level so thank you for your example of wanting to do things right even though he can be a pain and take a long time but it’s worth it in the end it’s awesome🤩🤩
What a beautiful transformation. Great job Danie.
Never thought I’d admit this… but I do watch your videos while I’m showering 😂
Looks great, you have done it again! Love the glass door.
This is so awesome. I am doing the exact same thing with my bathroom. I was trying to find a more economical way to do the shower door. Thank you for the inspiration! You rock!
