- Back when Super Mario 3D World came out in 2013, the year of Luigi was in full force. In order to celebrate, they decided to hide a bunch of "hidden Luigis" all throughout the game. While many of them you've likely seen before, there's a handful of them in the game that you've likely never seen before - Until today.
Join me on my 15 hour journey to find EVERY hidden Luigi in the game, and watch as I lose a bit of my sanity along the way.

Worst part is… that wasn’t even every Luigi. Several of the levels have multiple (he’s in the mouths of the fish in the first beach level). And iirc some levels have a CHANCE of him appearing, but it’s not guaranteed. Also, Luigi has a small chance to come out of ANY ? Block when you hit it
There are also luigi particles in the coin/confetti that rains down when you jackpot the slots minigame.
And the first glass pipe in the start cutscene when it is fixed and pukes stuff.

He missed a few simply because he assumed all levels had a single hidden Luigi, when some have at least 2. I don't blame him though, as trying to find them all blind would drive anyone insane.
you should do this for Luigi U, it’s much easier generally than this game, but there are also hidden Luggys in every stage

So many of them are unbelievably well hidden and timer based that I can't help but think that there still are some undiscovered ones in the game, such that there is at least one in each level but they haven't been found out yet.

The 8 bit Luigi employs many tactics to evade detection from predators.
And now we see an 8-Bit Luigi in it’s natural habitat, the ocean. These little fellows prefer camouflage rather than sneaking in icy waters, as seen in World 3. An interesting species indeed.
Would be cool if the final Luigi celebrated with you on the final level on the flag pole once you got all the previous Luigis or something as like a bonus finish
Would also be cool if he was one of the NPCs celebrating with you at the end of Champion's Road
Sometimes in 3D world, if you hit a block enough, a mini luigi jumps out and then goes back in.
Did not expect a video about hidden luigis to be this entertaining lmao

I love how they brought this back in captain toad treasure tracker by having hidden 8 bit toads in each level as a bonus goal.
They removed them in the Switch port, trust me, I went to multiple areas where hidden Luigis appear in the Wii U version and there was nothing.
A lot of those were almost impossible to see, especially the snowflake Luigi's. This was fun watching the Luigi's steal your sanity. When I come down to Texas in a few months, I'm going to have to hire local artists to paint hidden Luigi's all over town.
Or at least say I did and make you start imagining them everywhere. :)

Watching rays's slow descent into madness is truly incredible content. The hinges were well and truly un'ed.
Fairly certain you missed a Luigi in Pipeline Lagoon where you found one next to the Floating Goombas at the beginning. If you get to the clear pipe that goes past the sunken airship fast enough, you’ll be able to see a Luigi travel through the pipe with you
guess he didnt show it in this video but he already knew about that one from speedrunning the game for a while and was only looking for one luigi in each level so decided to look for the other one

It’s the grand fact that the Luigi’s will be in the levels twice and hidden just everywhere in tiny places make Hidden Pixel Toad (From Captain Toad’s Treausre Tracker) Seem like a joke compared to this but it’s still pretty fun
I saw a hidden clerk at one point, and now I'm curious how many clerks are hidden in this video. Lily is so crafty

The crazy thing is not every Luigi has been documented
as a luigi enthusiast who literally has a book about how luigi is the best, I knew about this.

You didn't have to wait for the Luigi in the World 1 castle...
You could've just speed ran the level and looked at the bridge which would allow you to see it much clearer.
I genuinely hope a part 2 comes out, these are too good-
ngl, this is one of my most nostalgic game since this is one of the first mario games i ever played on the wii u, and i’m glad to see another vid of this from raysfire
In the level Pipeline Lagoon (the one at 14:51) there's another Luigi slowly moving through that long clear pipe before the checkpoint that you can only see if you go through the pipe at around 445 seconds
for those who don't see the Luigi in the world 3 map background, look in the water behind the 3 in world 3, that's so obscured!
In the skip squeak there are actually 2 luigis, the one on the wheel, and the one IN THE PIPE
Yo Rays you should do a sequel to this video, because I'm gonna be real, you've only seen about half the Hidden Luigis in this game. I can name about 10 you missed off the top of my head:
- If you flip a Banzai Bill around with a Cat Suit or Tanooki, you can see a Luigi stuck to the back of its burner
- A few Luigis pop out of the Clear Pipe in the opening cutscene among the other stuff
- Sometimes a Luigi will pop out of a ? Block at random, and this is easiest seen when repeatedly hitting a Coin Block (this is also a thing in Bowser's Fury btw)
- Everyone knows this one, but on the title screen, there's a Luigi Button you can press on after beating Bowser that lets you play Luigi Bros
- In every Sprixie House (the ones where you get free Stamps), a Luigi can be seen peering in from outside before slinking away back into the darkness
- In the opening cutscenes for train levels except the Golden Express (before you get launched out of the cannon), you can very barely make out a Luigioutrunning the trail just like the one you saw in that one level
- Speaking of train levels, at the very front of each train level (aka just past the pipe you enter to fight the boss) you can see a window shaped like a green L with Luigi in it, as if he's piloting the train. Again, this doesn't apply to the golden L window on the Golden Express.
*Also there's a Luigi at the top of every Castle opening cutscene, not just the one in World Bowser
- If you hit the gong in Hand-On Hall enough times, a Luigi will randomly drop pretty close to the screen
- Sometimes Luigis will just have their head stuck in a Cheep-Cheep's mouth, regardless of the level the dang fish is in. I think this happens at random, but idk
- In 1-2, you were right about there being a Luigi in the Clear Pipe with a cannon at the front, you just need to stay in it for about a couple of minutes for the Luigi to appear
- This is kinda a Wii U exclusive because the Switch doesn't have the electronic manual gimmick, but if you go into the game's manual (the breen book with the ? on it) you'll see a Luigi at the very bottom of each page, just chilling in plain sight
Also, a little bonus: y'know how in the Mario Maker games, when you repeatedly knock on a door in the level editor, Wierd Mario will pop out wearing a random power up relevant to the game style you're using? If you knock on the door in the 3D World style in Mario Maker 2, there's a small chance that everyone's favourite green 8-bit gremlin will make a guest appearance instead.

However I remember finding an other luigi during my playthrough in the level 6-3 you have to spam the gong until he falls down.
I don’t know if it us attached to this specific level or to the object, but I didn’t see it in the video.

A few years ago when I was playing the Wii U version, I hit the invisible ? Block Behind the fire bro on spiky spiky bridge or the version of it near the end of the world flower, and a Luigi popped out of it! I never got it to happen again though.

This is NOT every Luigi hidden in the game. Upon completing one of the slot machine pop-up bonuses, Luigi can be seen hidden in the confetti.

The only hidden luigi I know from memory is the one in 1-castle, where he’s running in the water. But after watching this video I remember seeing the first one in 1-2 and im sure I’ve seen more of them.
At 1851 he’s right there. If you look on the things that are on the right, his head is just peeking out from it if you zoom in you can’t really find them as good but if you pause, watching the video, you can kind of see him through the fog, so the little platforms right near the war box in the background with the fog

Ngl I thought this was gonna be a video on the Luigi Bros mode on the Wii U version but this is fun too.
I only knew about around 3-4 of these before going in. I had no clue that there almost 50 of these.
I never thought it would be possible for a Mario game to induce psychosis. actually I did cause it happened to me. I was so scared and sad and I would play mario, super mario, super mario galaxy. every day, I wanted those green stars and I would play for hours, the music didn't leave me. It kept playing in my head. I couldn't sleep and I began hearing things alloud like the music, I saw faces in windows and I could hear voices telling me to do oh so horrible things. I thought there was a man living in my walls, I thought I was going insane and the scarriest part is the fact I was. It's all so blurry, I went a month with no sleep I had horrible nightmares when I succamb to my sleep due to pure exhaustion. I saw faces in the windows, they had big teeth they were hunting me. I stopped existing I remember being so so cold, cold. cold. cold. I had horrible nightmares. awful things, dying. drowning. help. help. faces in the walls and a man in my ceiling, neverending pain. ceaseless suffering. pain. In world Castle 1 there is a pipe near the beginning which you can go into
Ine there there is a puzzle including a ball
Luigi is on that ball
Also in world 6s Castle some of the confetti is Luigi and in the same world by the panning spot under the clouds Luigi is swimming
In world bowser train at the end of the train Luigi is painted there
Its like a wheres waldo with a story mode
