I love how he's giving tips like anyone is going to do this daunting task
The extra speed in the Switch version could actually help in a lot of levels, especially 4-4 and Castle-3.
And it might be enough with toads good throwing ability
It also would’ve helped him out in the great goal pole level even though he was still able to do it here

12:11 - That Castle-3 jump IS possible. You need to bounce atop the tiny brick to gain enough height to clear enough distance, whilst going full speed over the dash panel. You still need to have Luigi throw Peach though for enough distance.

I think it's a bot or someone being annoying
cat momentum actually gets you around the same speed as the switch port, so that confirms the switch's extended cat climbing would not help either in 1-1.

I remember seeing this one video of someone doing a cat momentum thingy and while they were performing it in the air when Peach's glide animation was about to end, they quickly switched powerups to the tanooki suit to float in the air. I don't remember the video but this may help you out on at least maybe 1 level I guess.

In Castle-3, you could use the 2x1 brick that is in front of you before you'll jump (it's even higher than the floor). You can use the same first idea with the 2 blocks in 4-4 (grabbing some speed). Or you can use the speed panel boost. Step in the Speed panel boost, run, do a little jump landing in that little 2x1 brick, then do a higher jump.
Another idea is by someone who wrote in the comments. You can use Rosalina for that level bc of her spin jump, being her "3rd jump".
