Pretty sure the “elevator” level is an rng setup, so half the time you win and the other half you don’t. That claw setup was the original way to randomize player inputs and the pipe being offscreen means there are probably 2
8:00 My best guess is that this is taking advantage of a mechanic called coyote time, which allows the player to land even if they're technically lower than the platform. Lots of modern platformers use it to make gameplay feel less janky and it is generally a QoL feature.
This setup abuses that mechanic by allowing the player to fall just enough to grab the coin and still land on the edge, ironically creating jank with an anti-jank mechanic.

For the link level, you can actually just use your bow and it makes it so you only look in the direction you aimed at

The shell level shows that the shell goes left when a p switch, pow or spring is below it. You can just set a shell on a spring on top of a hyperspeed thwomp will wait to launch the shell until a pow, p switch, or spring goes below it
I’m tempted to make an even louder Mario Maker level with the same set up plus multiple podoboos
Nintendo has time to play levels and delete them but don't have the time to give thwomps indicators when they have parachute.

My favorite part is where Ray over complicates the link level where you just had to use the bow
1. he cant turn around to hit the block with his bow
2. the one-way would’ve blocked the pow from coming out
3. arrows cannot trigger question mark blocks

The two flagpoles thing does make sense, it looks to be a secret exit flag in the background. Clearly if you took the secret exit you would end up with that one.
