- Join me as I creative in my home. The joy of being a homemaker is the ability to create whatever you'd like. Our desire is to have a home filled with meaning and inspiration. We want our walls filled with scripture that we feel the Lord is speaking to us. We want images that are beautiful and inspire us. And it doesn't have to cost us a lot of money, my only recent purchase in this video was the bicycle basket I got for $3 and the saucers I got with teacups for $1.50, everything else used I already had.

Welcome to the world of sewing! I’m 37 and been seeing since 16, sewing and gardening are my great passions. I always had a hard time with clothes fitting right, even when young. I love seeing others find happiness in it as well. They’re both very rewarding endeavors. I wish you all the best of luck. :)

What a lovely way to gently inspire other women. You are indeed a creative person with the fabulous ability to see what something can be. We have been without internet for a week which has allowed for some interesting chats between my husband and I. As we planned the next few weeks of projects, in jest he said, I had the ability to see an old kitchen pot, wooden box or bench and could have a new creative use for it in pretty short order. I smiled because lately some of those ‘creative uses’ has involved his help! Our daughter came over today and I was able to use her iPad to watch your video. She also had it as a temporary hot spot for my phone but I chose to watch on the iPad so I could have a larger screen. I wasn’t able to like the video or comment because it wanted login info for that so I did open the video on my phone so I could like and comment. Sorry if that comes up weird in the algorithm. First, great idea to use the bicycle basket so it will lay flat against the wall -- I will have to keep my eyes out!
Second, I saw the same light blue and white saucers at the thrift store yesterday! I might have to go back and get them if they are still there so we can be saucer twins.
Third, I love love love your 20 to 30 minute videos because you are legit the only creator on CZcams that I could listen to/watch *all day*. While I love your 10 minute videos, I laugh at myself whenever I say, "Aw, only 10 minutes??" ❤✝️

I find encouragement and a slow, peaceful span of time.
We are a family of three.
I regret that my grandmother's have gone home to see The Lord.
I didn't take the time to sponge off the wisdom they held.
My grandmother was a seamstress and opened a small shop to sell fabrics and the essentials to others who sewed.
I am an older mom to my little one.
I honestly never found peace in the rat race and felt it was my responsibility to contribute financially to my home.
Even in our church, staying at home and homeschooling our child is met with a bewildering gaze.
I am a professional woman, and so, my salary exceeded my husband's.
I felt obligated to work outside the home.
Thankfully, I am embracing this new life of being a homemaker and homeschooling my precious blessing.
We do struggle with the loss in income.
Would you be willing to do a video about being a good steward and manage finances while being prudent?
I am astounded by the generosity of people around us.
God has blessed us, and we are grateful .
We definitely are working on standing in faith, knowing the Lord will supply all our needs.

YOur 4th line up in your comment is the answer you are looking for! What we found was that my loss of income was not significant when we looked at what it was 'costing' me to work (gas, lunch, dress clothes, etc..). But, even at that...if you are experiencing it a bit differently than me, you will find that you have answered your own question. lol. What we found was that we relied on the Lord & he sent PEOPLE to help us! Whenever we have been at our wits end, someone or something has come along to solve the problem. People have gifted us items we have needed or offered to pay for things or just treat us out for fun. I have come to learn that the older folks in our life really respected what we were trying to accomplish, they were more established & WANTED to help us. We are now the 'older folks' on this journey & we are doing the same with some younger couples; to encourage them, to repay the blessings we have received, & to feel needed. God has always answered our prayers, we have never starved & our kids did not go without.

It definitely is a treasure to be home with my little one and find absolute delight in homemaking.
My career was extremely stressful and draining.
It was difficult to care for the home and financially cost more.
We have been well provided for and we have never gone hungry.
A sweet woman loaned us an incubator and gave us 39 hatching eggs plus eggs to consume.
She was a blessing and we were just shocked by the generosity.
That is just one instance of the many that truly define the Greatness of The Lord.

You're a very resourceful lady, Kelli! When I am dead & gone, the 3 things I want to be remembered for is Faithful, Industrious, & Resourceful. I had a boss once who told me that I 'sure could do alot, with very little' & she meant it as a compliment. She was always in awe of that skill. Growing up poor taught me to look around at what I already have, be happy with 2nd hand, & watch for things others want to get rid of. Seems like you have that knack as well.

Thank you! And it's just a box cutter, it's the best for cutting leather, but I have to change the blade often!
