Kelli, WHY can't you live next door to me? Your kitchen looks like mine; lots of jars of stuff 'brewing'. It is like living in a science lab LOL. My neighbor & I made dandelion jelly today. Let me tell you....Delicious! She has never canned & thought it was so easy. My daughter used to make kombucha & I have been hinting to her that she should get back into it.

Thank you for sharing your discard recipes. We love Dutch Pancakes and I used to make them weekly, but I have not made them since we began using fresh milled flour. Looking forward to trying this! You are a blessing! 💗✝️💗

I just upgraded my kombucha to a gallon jar.
When you use this laundry soap recipe can you wash on cold without residue? Most homemade laundry soap recipes seem to need warm washing to not leave a sandy residue.
I nearly always wash on the cold cycle and have never had any residue issues. Just make sure it's diluted enough because the recipe is a concentrate.
Do you find a taste difference between home made kombucha and store bought? I have tried a few store bought kombucha and haven’t liked them. My 15 year old loves Kombucha. So far I have not found one I like
From memory, the homemade one was a less fizzy- I'm pretty sure big brands like GT's adds carbonation to make it super fizzy. I like with the homemade that you can make your own flavors!
My original SCOBY that I purchased sinks too and the new one sinks initially and then floats to the top.
That is helpful to know yours did the same, at first I was like oh no, it's sinking!
