  • The interior in my truck was seriously gross. The headliner was stained and the carpet was super gross even after we deep cleaned it. So to get that race truck feel, we gutted the truck. It's super cool.

1:07 Your headliner looked pristine compared to what our '95 Ranger headliner looks like! IF I even remotely touch it, I'll have a layer of dust on my head, and God forbid I am looking up when I brush it because it will undoubtedly be in my eyes too! I think I'll need to place a tarp down over the seats and dash while simultaneously scrape vacuuming using the wet/dry vac, then get a leaf blower and blow the rest of the dust out before I can even begin removing anything! You've made it look as though it may be something I can handle, so thanks for the video!

I have a 1999 ford ranger that is my first car. We bought it for $150 because we knew the guy. My dad and I have put 3 1/2 grand into it because it’s has 168 thousand miles on salty Mid west roads and wasn’t taken care of. It had no shock left and is a piece of work. Now we will just put a new alternator in it and a new clutch this winter. (Your truck looks factory new underneath compared to mine.)

KUDOS--useful video! So glad my '99 Sport 4x4 came with the *rubber flooring* NOT carpet. Cleans easily, deadens noise, and still looks great 22 years later. My headliner is fine, EXCEPT the front edge, where using a folding sun-reflector in the windshield has left the thin fabric torn and hanging down. Was going to jury-rig it with some 3M spray adhesive, but after watching your vid, I'm just going to swap it out with a "virginal" one I found on a 2008 in the U-pick salvage yard. Got some of the fancy "2-way" combo sun visors out of an Explorer... will probably wire up the "makeup mirror" lights whilst I have the headliner out.
AFAIK, ALL the Rangers, and all the Ranger-based Explorers ('91-2001), and even Sport-Tracs(?) only came in 2 interior/headliner colors--tan and gray--so you've got a great chance of finding a match.
