  • Cus it just looks cooler! I took off the bumper and trimmed the rear quarter panel on my Ranger!
WARNING! Highly recommend you remove the bumper with a friend. I won't be responsible if you drop your bumper on your face! 😬😬😬 I am also a weightlifting coach and lift heavy/awkward things for a living.

Besides. you can always sharpie the line a few mm before where you actually want to cut. you’ll smooth it out with the flap wheel anyway.

@@rayregnogarage a ton. It was a Single Cab Long bed truck from the factory and one of the previous owners chopped it and mated it with a 2000 4dr cab. Half 95 half 2000. Then shorted the bed to about a 4.5ft maybe. Moved the fuel system etc. I'm currently trying to fix everything such as water leaks, and stuff. We have warn manual hubs, rebuilt trans. I have re done the entire wiring harness because it was a mess. I have LT265/75R15 Atturo Trail Blade MTs on stock 01 Explorer wheels.

Future reference screw the saw zaw get yourself an angle grinder with a cutting wheel. I used a saw all the time then finally got a grinder only because i had to grind down some concrete then said wait a tic... Used it to cut off a couple things on my ranger abd it became my go to tool....oh u got a grinder lol

ya, the bumper can flex though especially on the corner. It’s a common thing. there’s no side support for the bumper so it bends easily.

    • @rayregnogarage

Ya. You can use some electrical conduit. flatten and bend the ends to the right angle. I did that 20 years ago on another ranger that I flared the bedsides on. will get to it on this truck eventually
