- This is a quick how to video on replacing a bumper on a Ford Ranger. It's an easy job if you have some WD-40, a good 1/2 inch socket set and some strength. The hardest part was putting the new bumper together without directions, but I just used the old one as a template. This was a simple job and fairly inexpensive. The bumper was $220 total and was shipped to my house in a few days after I ordered it. All the information is in the video. Subscribe, hit the thumbs up and leave a comment. Bumper removal, and trim the rear quarters on the bed a bit, and it looks really clean that way too
Great, great video. I've got a 2011 Ranger with only 48,000 miles that I want to remove and powder coat the rear bumper for just the same reason..........Ohio rust. I've been looking for a video showing the removal of the bumper on a truck with factory towing hitch like I have. Didn't know if I had to remove that to get the bumper to slide out. Your great video answers that question. By the way, I see the Ohio plates and the Sarchione Ford of Alliance sticker. I'm just west of you in Canal Fulton.

Yeah someone rear ended my 98 ranger it’s all fine but I will need a new bumper cause it was badly rusted on the other side so I plan on making them person pay at least for the damage caused and I’ll buy a new bumper I’m looking into a black one just bc I feel it would be nice and I just don’t like the chrome as much as I use to when I was younger

That sucks, I hope you like your new ranger as much as the old one? I hope no one rear ends me, I've got a silver 2006 4.0 4x4 110,00. I love it, it's been a work in progress. I've gone through it, stripped it to the frame redone everything, shackles, bed, brake lines radiator support etc., seriously replaced all rusted parts, I got it in 2016 with 30,000 rusted out, I luckily got a sticker for 3 years before I was told, now is the time before your next sticker. It was a rust bucket, it sat on someones lawn for years. I've done all scheduled maintenance. My newest upgrade this year was LED's all the way around and the new style grill with LED's and made for the Ranger from Crutchfeild, the Pioneer Avic W-6600NEX Digital Stereo, GPS, XM Radio, Apple Air Play, Back Up Cam, DVD C/D Multi media Unit, Boyo Back License Plate Frame Camera with Led's. I figured im gonna keep it 10 more years 100,000+ I yearned for newest audio systems in the newest vehicles. It is gonna be an antique soon, a super modern antique ranger.
Love my new one. Bummed about old one still. Keep that ranger going brother. 🤘

What size do I need for the bolts?
I just crawled under the truck. You're going to need a 17, 18 and 19 MM socket and/or wrench. There are three sizes of nuts/bolts. Hope that helps.
