  • Knowing how to establish yam commercially in sacks is critical to ensuring we have a more sustainable production in our localities.
    Sack farming also makes it easy for you to also cultivate all year round within a little space and still achieve a great number of tubers, as this method of yam farming maximizes available space optimally/efficiently.
    Yam farming in Nigeria is one of the most lucrative crops you would want to consider this farming season, and being able to cultivate them in sacks or bags, allows you to cultivate even if you live in the urban, where agricultural lands are not available for farming.
    Also, leave us a comment if you have any area, you would want us to help you out within your farm establishment.

    @chidav,now that you are doing about 4000 yams sacks,do you water them,if yes how many times,I will like to know how you apply organic manure on yams in sacks

    • @ChidavAgriculturalHub
      @ChidavAgriculturalHub  Před rokem +1

      Yes, you can if you growing during the drougt.
      Just wet/irrigate till soil is slightly moist. Don't allow soil to be too moist or water logged. It could twice, thrice or even once.

    Another interesting video...
    But Dave this is already month of May. Can yam still be planted at this time when new yam is about to flood the market?
    Again I discovered the sack is larger than cement bags. What types of bags are these please?
    In different development, can I plant ugu in a black nylon filled with soil but place on concrete floor? I mean German floor?
    Thank you as usual

    • @ChidavAgriculturalHub
      @ChidavAgriculturalHub  Před 2 lety

      Yes, there's provision for irrigation of the field.
      These are fish feed bags, don't remember the brand name exactly.
      Yes, you can plant your ugu in it
