Fill, I just want you to know that you inspired me. I have elderly neighbors that hadn't had their lawn mowed yet, and the grass was 5 feet tall in places. I checked on them, and it turned out that the person who had been mowing for them never showed up this season. I initially thought I could mow for them, but it turned out to be too much for me (I'm a senior citizen and can just manage my own lawn). I found a young man just starting out his business who could take on the job. Thanks to him, years of poor mowing (a couple of feet of packed down dry grass) have been corrected, saving this nice couple from a city citation and maybe even saving their lives, as it gets very dry here all summer and all that tinder could easily ignite from a cigarette carelessly discarded. Thanks for your inspiration.

The fact that you pick up the clipping just made me subscribe; I really like lawn videos as a means of relaxing but it grinds my gears when they blow their sh*t all over the freshly cut lawn. It's pretty much normal where I live (Europe), but in the U.S., not many do it.

@@fillslawncare I agree it does look nicer bagged, when I studied horticulture though, the reason for NOT bagging is that the fanned out cuttings ( not clumps) provide nutrients back to the earth while feeding the growing grass and giving moisture. Awesome job and work ethics!

I watch because I like the sounds of yard work. Hubby and I taught our two sons how to mow lawns, they had their own business from pre-teens to college. Sure hope you lock up your equipment trailer and truck when you are mowing in the backyards. God's blessings on your work.

You met and surpassed the challenge, Great Job, well done.... Some of the long strips of over grown sidewalk grass could be replanted elsewhere on this lawn or another for covering bald spots.. We do our own and looks not as nice as you've done..Thanks for posting, learned a few tricks with ti..
That front lawn looks so thick, green, and healthy, it’s hard to understand why the homeowner didn’t keep it neatly cut and edged. It looks fantastic now! Hopefully they will be hiring you to keep it that way.
That lawn was indeed overgrown but man was that grass beautiful! I’ve never seen such full, luscious grass before. Needless to say it looked much better after you mowed it though
I love the way he cleans up. Bagging the clippings, always makes me smile, so few people do it and I need to connect with nature by walking barefooted on grass. This guy brings me joy!
Well done and I may only be an armchair lawn mowing aficionado only but I’ve noticed a pattern. The guys that have the large zero turns or riding/standing type really aren’t interested in doing the work to get a nice bagging job. In many cases I don’t think they have the equipment to bag with those mowers and they don’t want to get off and walk. There is no way a big rider could come in and blow it around five times and get the good job that you just got on that overgrown lawn. If I’m paying the big bucks I definitely want it bagged and if they don’t like to walk they should buy the equipment to bag with their big riders! Just my opinion, armchair aficionado that I am!
@@brentkelley1491 All I’m saying is if I am the client I’m going to require you bag my grass or you won’t get the contract. If you don’t want the contract because you’re not willing to do that, it’s your business just as much as it’s my business that I require it bagged. If your competition next-door is doing a lot of bagging and you’re on bi-monthly with longer cuts I predict the bagger is going to suddenly become more popular and questioned if he can take new contracts after the clients have viewed the results side by side.
Very nice job on the lawn. It looks beautiful. As I looked at the video I noticed in the distance that it looked like “home”, then I saw the Seahawks canopy over the kiddie pool! 😁 I was right. Or really close, I grew up on a farm at the foot of Mt. Spokane.

@@fillslawncare I don't mow for a living just my own lawns for over 30 years and when I let the grass grow to high I learned to raise the deck for the first cut and go over it twice it's a lot easier on me and the equipment

I just mowed a foot tall lawn, took me 2 hours with the zero turn. I’m exhausted, it was a thick, wet lawn

How you feel I did 5 acres of tall grass maybe like 2.5’-3.5’ feet tall took me 13 hours! With weedeating. With a zero turn
