No, an absolute bogus reason. The facts are completely different. The amount of people smoking is reducing over the years. More and more people want ciggerettes to be forbiden. Many are also against alcohol as well. When the usage of ciggerettes, alcohol are reduced or completely stopped as well as electric automobiles take over the market the tax revenues will be reduced to almost ZERO! To replace that revenue many polititians are swinging over to leagalizing marijuana. It will first be medical and then later non -medical (when in a weaker form) opend to eveyone and taxed heavely to bring money in. Nothing in this world happens without money and power being the most important reasons. In addition when people are drugged up enough their minds can be controlled much better. I fell very fortunate that by time this happens I will no longer be here to see what used to be a wonderful world destroyed.

@@nz9636 The sad thing is, people hate police, because of the fact that police use cannabis as an excuse to harass, search and arrest people who would otherwise be left alone and respected by police.
The benefit police have, is that they have unlimited easy targets of people they can arrest who won't put up a fight or cause any problems. It's like arresting someone who is asleep, rather than having to go out and arrest someone who is robbing a place at gunpoint and has already fired several shots.
The downside the police have, is that it makes people lose respect for police officers, because they feel like they are just out to cause problems.
People respect fire fighters, because they are only working to solve problems and help the community. They come to the rescue to save lives and property.
Police who arrest cannabis users, are not helping the community, they are harming it and giving police a bad reputation.
One big problem with cannabis being illegal, is that neighbors and random people, will smell cannabis being smoked and call the cops on them. This puts people against people, who could otherwise possibly be friends. Imagine if your neighbor hates the smell of cannabis smoke and instead of calling the cops and having you arrested (because it is illegal), they instead ask if you could restrain from smoking outside between certain hours (if it was legal).
The banning of cannabis brings out so much hatred in people who would otherwise have no reason to hate someone.
Prohibition of cannabis is directly fueling hatred of others.
