Thank You for this! I cant wait to binge this weekend!
Loved the topic, but I wanted to know more about the stoned squirrels! Do they stagger around or just lay about?
Also, do a video about CBD.
sir. can you discuss the brain of a person with schizophrenia next time? i would like to see the actual brain with schizophrenia.
When you refer to the antagonism and agonism going up and down from competition with Endo cannabinoids that are full agonist. I’m assuming you’re referring to thc being a partial agonist causing the high? but let’s say you take a full agonist at the cb1 receptor with a stronger affinity than any Endo-cannabinoid’s there won’t be any “down” effect because it will replace it with a ligand of equal or grater activity. it will only increase activity. Yet from what I understand a high affinity full agonist would still get you high.
As a mj patient who suffers from "regular ass adult stress", and "had a long day" syndrome. I can say that cannibas has certainly helped my symptoms.

Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.
Amen God bless people. Save your health save your mind. Life is better without heroin, cocaine, alcohol and cigarettes. And you have more money in your pocket. God bless everyone who has rejected the devils intentions to be addicted to alcohol and cigarettes etc which can cause so much damage to health.
Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Australia. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them.
YES very sure of Dr.alishrooms. I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
I'm really happy for you that your wife decided to help you...I hear about alot of family members or so called friends shutting an addict out of their life, which since most addicts do it to mask emotions to me is the worse thing someone can do to an addict.
How do I reach out to him? Is he on insta

It is so refreshing to see an educated, non-emotional, non-political discussion about these substances. I agree that we need to stop vilifying them and start really studying them so we can learn their risks and benefits. Love your channel.
We have studied them , they are safe . The opposition still keeps the “threat” lingering
How is it apolitical to talk about the effects of drugs on our system?
@@Alaskan-Armadilloits not very political in the context of the video

As a physician I've been prescribing phytocannabinoids almost everyday with plenty of results amongst a long sort of diseases, symptons and health conditions. Your video is golden piece of work!
Thank you for being a calm sensible forward thinking Dr. We need more!❤

@@RENbbyHello Ren, thank you for asking. I’ve been treating my pacients for insomnia, anxiety disorders, chronic pain (fibromyalgia, artritis and other causes), alzheimer, parkinson, epilepsy and Many other conditions. The reason for its wide applications reside on the vast endocannabinoid system!
@drleopoldopires wouldn't it be better for your patients to avoid Fluorosilic acid, since that is the cause of these listed health issues? Distilled or Ro'd water for both all drinking and cooking. Try it.
I know this vid has been out a long time, but as a nurse and lifetime learner, I absolutely love this channel! One of my favorite parts of medicine is the long and sometimes difficult names of things. I also know that we pronounce things very differently than other people in the same fields. I just have never heard this term (cannabinoids) pronounced the way you do. I hear yours as 'canna-buh-noids'. I've most frequently heard it pronounced 'cuh-NAB-uh-noids'. Isn't it funny how differently they can sound? Sort of like aluminum being pronounced so differently within the English language. This was a very interesting video. My brother went from 25-30 seizures a month to only 4 in the last 6 years since beginning regular use of cannabis. It has literally changed his life when all the pharmaceuticals failed him for nearly 20 years! Food for thought 😊
A friend back in the 70s who has epilepsy was even given pot by the guards when he went to jail on yr. so he would not have seizures. The guards told me they would rather break the laws themselves than to have to go through the trauma of him having a seizure.
@MrBetc It has truly been a life changing experience for our family. I never dreamed it would be so helpful. Much like other things our Great Creator plopped down here on this big spinning rock. I love to not only hear that those guards were helping him and knowledgeable, but that they actually had some empathy. I think that's probably becoming more rare.
@AxlezBubby
Oh man, seizures kicking my ass. I needed to hear your comment.

This was a beautiful, unbiased and very educational approach towards looking at the endocannabinoid systems. It also explains why Indica cannabis which has a higher level of cb2 binding is so successful in the treatment of auto immune issues and cancer.
Is cancer auto immune .. isn't auto immune diseases like rhematoid arthritis..??
Don't be the reddit doctor
@@abbaszadeh194 what I asked was right?? Can you clarify it.. I don't think cancer is auto immune
I would argue that uncontrollable cell replication is definetely an auto immune response. The same as endometriosis or eczema or rhematoid arthritis and any other over productions response.
@@abhaypatel4292 its not, but when your on chemo your immune system is destroyed. therefore it can help. it doesn't directly treat cancer, just helps ease the side effects of treatment
I’ve had a severe eating disorder for 8 years and I entered a treatment program and THC has been the only appetite stimulant that not only helped me develop a sense of hunger, but eased my anxiety surrounding food. 10/10
Edit: firstly, thanks so much for the likes and supportive comments! And I know a lot of comments are calling the hunger munchies, which was accurate at first, but I need to clarify something. I was (technically still am but in recovery) anorexic for 8 years, which made me lose my sense of hunger. I had not experienced a hunger cue until I started treatment, even when smoking. Developing a consistent eating schedule was what created a distinct sense of hunger that was beyond munchies. I honestly thought it was more painful than anything. It was so odd that I described the feeling to my partner and he was like confused because it was normal to feel hunger for him. THC was more for my anxiety about eating food, but it did give me the munchies when I started eating regularly. I hope this answers some of the confusion
They give edibles to obese people to slow down their eating so its really good for you in both ways
It would give you the munches.lol

As a 67 year old lifelong user of cannabis starting in my early twenties, I found this video very informative with understanding how cannabis works and affects my body. Health wise, I am doing very well for my age. I even had my medical doctor tell me that he could tell that I had never smoked cigarettes after listening to my lungs. I told him that he was correct. That was about ten years ago. Anyway, your non bias attitude coupled with providing facts that educate, made the decision to subscribe to your channel a no brainer. I will look forward to other cannabis vids as researchers discover more about this amazing plant and it’s properties. 🍻
Hey m8, would love a reply! May I ask how much u took on a regular basis and how u took it?
@@fiha4186 For the most part, I have been a daily user. Of course, there were times that I would have periods where I would not partake for months at a time. Now that it’s legal, I use about a half to 3/4 of an oz per month. Depending on strength and costs. 😎
@@fiha4186 Sorry for the delay, didn’t realize that you had asked me a question.
Well, I guess for the most part, I was an everyday user.
Most of that time was after I got home from work. I guess that I would smoke about a half to an oz per month depending on strength. I almost always smoked with a pipe, since doobs waste smoke.
Several times I had to use the masking agent Vale to pass drug tests. I never failed once.
There were times when I did take a break from smoking. Sometimes months at a time, yet those times were rare. Most of the time was just tracking some down, and forcing me to take unwanted breaks.
Yet, since it became legal in Michigan, I have been smoking daily for over two years now. Generally I have been purchasing about 10 to 15 grams per month. Depending on strength.
Ironically, after watching this video, I decided to take a break from smoking as I was starting to have sleep issues.
That first 3 days were exactly as the video said. Not fun, but after the initial withdrawals, I am feeling “normal”.
It’s been about three weeks since I have used.
I actually had my first dream last night. As I found while smoking I never ever recalled a dream.
Anyway, I hope that answered your question. ✨🍻✨

All individual experiences some people shouldn't take drugs some can function fine but anyone using a substance over a long time is always going to have a effect and suppress your natural function some for the best some not I smoked for 18 years and a decent amount and can say now I don't my cardio memory ect is alot better and I get less stress as in general the lifestyle of a smoker means sleep eating ect is different
Psychedelics saved me from years of uncontrollable depression, anxiety, and illicit pills addiction. Imagine carving heavy chains for over a decade and then all of a sudden that burden is gone. Believe it or not, in a couple of years they'll be all over for treatment of mental health related issues.

As an adult I see my childhood abuse an over reliance and use of the fight and flight syndrome.
When your living in this syndrome having to fight or flight or weighing up situations in this heightened level of fear you end up scarring your mind.
Look at it like this, your life is a field of grass most people stroll through the field aimlessly, sitting, picking flowers, climbing trees having the great picnic of life.
In my formative years I ran over the same path, the shortest, easiest, safest path and I wore away the grass and carved a runway into the earth. I did this because it saved my life and hurt others before I got hurt. I fought or I ran.
It put a scar into the Earth of my mind and soul.
But as an adult, in charge of my choices, I know this and this awareness keeps me away from the path and the potential dangers that could make me stray close to the path.
It's still there, muddy and filled with pitfalls but my knowledge of it keeps me clear.
Although, metaphorically its explainable, unless you "know" you can never really know.
I've been consuming THC for about a decade and this video explained a lot to me, especially the difference in receptors between species. My medium sized dog got a hold of my 50mg (that would be like consuming 2500mg or 2.5g's for an adult human with no tolerance) edibles and poor guy couldn't move for 12 hours. We called the vet and said to make sure he would keep breathing. He did fine and was super energetic once he fully came back to Earth.
That's a rough day...
When my shepherd mix was a puppy she knocked the cannabutter off the counter and went to town...she'll be 6 years old in Nov lol

We woke up in the morning was about to roll a joint but couldn’t find on top of magazine my herbs; then I noticed the chihuahua being spaced out. When my brother in law came later in the late afternoon to the house we had to tell him that we took him out to the park and make him run all day, now he resting. It was a hot mess experience bc the dog was peeing n pooping on the bed. Glad he recovered quick 😅
Few years later we did told him the truth and we all laughed
hes just like me
Thank you so much for this video.
A bit of background as to why this is so meaningful to me.
I was diagnosed with a tumor growing on my vagus nerve, scientifically a Glomas Vagale Paraganglioma. It is very rare, but thankfully it is slow growing and not cancerous. The tumor is over 8 cm × 6 cm x 3 cm, with tentacles that grow out of it. It s I'm a very small space, and presses on my brain stem and my spinal cord. Needless to say it is extremely painful. I lost the use of my left side, lost my ability to swallow because my left vocal chord is paralyzed, and more. I had to retire from my job as a federal law enforcement officer.
Doctors prescribed lots of opiods and Benzodiazepines to help with the anxiety of knowing there is something in your head that is going to kill you.. after years of this, I was a veritable zombie, and so I quit using them.
But that really brought back the pain. I didn't even get much sleep, because no matter how I laid on my pillow I was putting pressure on the tumor and surrounding nerves. I could sleep for about an hour. I was constantly exhausted and in terrible pain.
Enter cannabis, in edible form. I grew up in the 70s and 80s, yet I had never even tried cannabis. My job, plus my time in the Army precluded any cannabis use. About 5 years ago, my doctor and I had a very long conversation. I was at my wits end and contemplating ending my life. We began talking about cannabis, I did tons of research, and my doctor wrote a prescription for me.
It has literally saved my life. I can manage the pain, with no addiction, no feeling like a zombie, and the THC is a little bonus, since I don't drink alchohol. I have become an advocate for its use , especially for older people, my age or older. (I'm 56) we grew up being taught it was the devil's lettuce. It was a gateway drug, which it is not. I've never had the slightest desire to stick a needle in my eyelid and shoot up heroin.
I make all of my own edibles, from butter, to candies to MCT oil infusions, all made with natural ingredients. And a freely will give them to others I know who are suffering from chronic pain. I do always tell them to talk with their doctor first. I have even begun growing my own Indica strains to use in my edibles.
Cannabis has such amazing properties, and I am so grateful you made this video. Science rocks. So does your channel by the way.

Man, I wasn't expecting a channel to actually show human anatomy. Glad you're able to do this and not get taken off of here. This shit is so important and it's annoying that medical things get labeled as "gore" so often.
I think there's a instinctual reaction (limbic system?) that comes into play. I've always thought of it as a way to keep us from randomly digging around in our bodies (other than pain) or other's bodies. Obviously, there's context as well as becoming desensitized via training and/or exposure, etc.
And, yeah, I agree with you especially in a medical context.

@@southpawlibranine3511shut up
@@southpawlibranine3511 it doesn't make anything worse overtime, it's all dependant on strain and yourself. If I'm anxious all the time and smoke sativa (higher thc) I'll get anxious or have a panic attack most likely, since I'm already an anxious person. Now if I'm anxious but smoke indica, I'll feel less inflamation, more relaxed and WAY less likely to have anything but a blast. About sleep, as someone with ADHD (diagnosed by professionals not self), It's either to be restless and agitated for 3h in bed before falling asleep for 5h or smoking, laying down and sleeping for 8-9h without "proper" REM sleep. The second option will still be better than the first option, at least for me it is. I'm more productive than ever because of that and never experienced a single anxiety or panic attack ever.
please look into psychiatric treatment there are some excellent anti-depressants and SSRI's now. Cannabis is a depressant- so please take care.

As a dutch man i must say that cannabis is the greatest thing I've ever used. as someone with tourette I can just lower the amount of input my brain gets and my tics are just gone 90% of the times I use it. I don't get why people are against this in other countries.
Because they're uneducated when it comes to this subject.

Wow, such a great presentation!
i smoked weed heavy for over 50 years. i am still healthy at 63. i work hard and stress my body hard. i am not on any medications. i remember my past very well. when i went for my ged i passed it with no problem. as for my reaction time i am still very fast. i worked at an auction selling cattle. your either fast or your going to the hospital. I don't have ptsd living outdoors most of my life. yes i had stress but its just a part of life growing up. been in car wrecks, still no ptsd. tragedies with family dying and still no ptsd. I drank heavy as a kid running away from home at 9. still no ptsd. at 18 i made a choice. weed or alcohol. the alcohol made me fight at the drop of a dime. wasn't much thinking there. the weed gave me the ability to think. sit back and relax. chill out. many of you who crossed my path can be thankful i chose the weed. I would have been on death row had i kept drinking. and now i quit smoking weed i feel my anger rising. it cost too much. and when i do things for free i can't afford it. My driving is excellent. i do not swerve and i am aware of all the drivers around me. i don't want to be hit by a distracted driver. and we all know there are plenty of them out there on the road. besides i do not have health insurance. i don't need a doctor bill. i speak my mind whether people like it or not. as for being poor i hate the thought of that dollar in which holds misery. lying, cheating, stealing, begging. and killing for it. even degrading yourself for it. it holds the blood of all who suffered for it. That is weed showed me as i contemplated life. lets just say i see the world because i do. weed just keeps me from hurting people. i don't have children but i hear the cries of the children of the future as governments keep borrowing putting the burden on your children making them a slave to the nation. i hear the soft voices of the preachers trying to get people to come to church. only for the money they live on. i am different. without the hell fire and brimstone of old i will not listen to them. condemnation is what people really need. i wish i were a preacher. i would not want your money. i think it would be an honor to speak for the lord. take that money and help someone. i come last in life.
Very smart man. You have done a lot of thinking, I applaud that.
Yeah, at 64 ,it took 46 years to spend a half million dollars smoking weed , although I too am clear and strong at 64
it's finding what works for you this idea we all are going to have the same results is crazy where all different so great if you can get a balance using any drug or addiction it's obviously only a problem when it becomes something you need as you don't your body is fine
👍
There is no condemnation in Christ so no - that is not needed by anyone. If you wished you were a preacher then why not be one? And I have a million questions about you "quitting" after 50 years. I couldn't. When I quit, I had digestive issues and could not focus on work at all. Found gummies a few years ago and they have changed my life! The Bible has been manipulated and very soon the world will know this. When it happens - we will need men of God who perhaps don't call themselves "preachers" and don't have a building where people come to bring money. Religion is about to take on a whole new 'look'. So if you have any thoughts at all about spreading the gospel - you need to move forward with it. Don't let the fools of society turn you away. We've been deceived by religion and we need men with passion to disseminate the true Word - once we get the truth. If you don't already know you may benefit from going down a few rabbit holes. The vatican is the cult, and a lot of truths about our Creator was hidden under the vatican and someone (a few someone's) made certain that the truth would stay hidden. But the truth ALWAYS comes to light - always. Just like the truth about every plant we have been trained to label as a "weed". It's not just hemp and MJ that has been suppressed... the world is FULL OF God-made medicine! We've been dumbed down and conditioned to hate the "weeds" - not knowing that those weeds are medicines.

I've been consuming cannabis for over 50 years, saying nearly as long that it was good for my health. My doctors seem to agree, finally. It is refreshing to see psychedelics, a class of drugs once considered the most dangerous to society, being decriminalized for the same reasons applied to cannabis. Nice to see another 50+ year activity vindicated.

Thank you for the unbiased lesson on Cannibus. As a disabled vet, I know it helps with my depression, anxiety and PTSD (the trifecta). I have family members who have Restless limb syndrome and it helps them immensly. I hope we can curb the stigma attached to using THC (D9) and the vast number of other cannabinoids to really propel mental health research amd treatment as well amd muscleskeletal treatment.
cannabis is a treasure trove of medicine ... and can be tailored via breeding and selection ... there is certainly way more going on than just thc and cbd
Until then, we are just pill poppers at the VA with no end in sight.

It is not the THC that is helping you, too much THC harms more than it helps. Weed has not be legalized, THC has been commercialized. It is the balance of the plant that provides its value. Evidence now shows that THC itself causes arterial and heart inflammation. CBD is what counteracts that and gives is a more medicinal purpose. If you smoke high THC weed long enough, then you will start developing psychosis and could start to develop severe panic attacks as what causes the anxiety on weed is the inflammation of the heart. So it is not a stigma against THC, there are real serious concerns with prolonged use of it.
So helpful with my acne inversa and inflammation of hair folicles!

The five most full-time pot smokers from high school that I knew are all dead in their 30s and 40s the last one died two years ago Cody. Marijuana has its uses on rare occasions, but will cause early death, or cancer and stunt your growth.
Thank you for educating people about cannabis. I’m considered a “criminal” because I have a possession of marijuana on my record. I think it’s so stupid how this isn’t legal, and cigarettes with hella chemicals and rat poison is…the US government needs to open their eyes.

This explains why, despite all the various pain meds, arthritis meds, Lyrica, and muscle relaxers, the moment I smell marijuana, walking down the street, I can literally feel my body go, ahhhh, from the relaxation my body instantly feels, from one smell, when I have not been smoking recently. I was finally diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease 11/2020 and have changed my diet to help control the symptoms. But medical marijuana is a daily part of my medical care.

As a cannabis consumer myself, this video was amazing to me. There was so much I didn’t know about cannabinoid receptors. For the longest time I believed the receptors were only found in the brain. This is honestly one of the coolest videos I’ve watched in a while.
( ECS) endocannabinoid system is amazing ! all metabolically active tissue cells are ECS , even skin cells are loaded with cannabinoid activity in skin cells . cannabinoids are the lipid messengers that our cells use to maintain and modulate cellular homeostasis . they travel in retrograde ( backwards) being made in post synapses and then reconnecting at pre synapses and this allows cells to adjust to environment and connects about 70 trillion cells together at once in the ECS providing over all pro homeostasis response

I just learned that CBD's in a capsule form gives me a bad allergy reaction. I took my first one 300mg (Botanical Farms brand ) yesterday, and a few hours after taking it, I began itching and had bumps (hives) showing up on my upper torso, the side of my neck, under my chin, even on my head.
I didn't connect this outbreak with the CBD. So I went to sleep without thinking much of it, except thinking I had a pollen reaction of sorts to something or another.
But, when I woke up this morning, my whole upper torso had broke out in hives and I was itching so bad.
Now I'm concerned and putting more thought into what I may have done lately differently, like eating, soaps, washing powder, even thinking it to be connected to stress or anxiety.
You see, I quit smoking pot 26 days ago, so that came to my mind too.
But, I still took another CBD capsule in this morning.
It made me sleeping, so I ended up taking a nap.
When I woke up out of that nap, I had even my hives on me itching like hell, and now they're also popping up on my back, my boobs and the back of my neck.
I was having a slight whizzing in my blowing out air, not so much breathing in,l.
Well, then it dawned on me, THE DAMN CBD's!!
Sure enough, my neighbor is an RN, and one look at me, she told me I was have an allergic reaction to something.
Ta-Da mystery solved. Benadryl is doing wonders now.
No more CBD's for me.
And I'll be staying pot smoking free, as well. 🫡
Peace out folks. ✌️❤️☺️
