    I started smoking since my teenage, got addicted to cigarettes. Spent my whole life fighting Cigarettes addiction. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Norway. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them

      100% agree I used to have Psychosis and paranoid thoughts like "people thinking about me talking about me etc. Very odd behavior after getting off Adderall from 7-16. Antidepressants at 18-29. 31 now. I took way to much, but took about 20g of Gold caps (Psilocybin containing mushroom) I analyzed my entire life. The emotions that came out helped me understand behavior etc more. Wont ever need to do it again because I'm happy and contempt forever, but I wish more people did this to alter their perception of reality. Would help with healing much trauma

    I quit smoking two months ago when I realised my high state cost me a promotion at work. In a nutshell I failed strong eye contact during an interview even though my last joint was a week before. Constant smoking had fucked me up to where I was socially awkward and I couldn't even control it which was terrifying to realise. Constant blinking shuffling avoiding gazes, I knew the interviewer could see right through me and I was never going to get it and I didn't. Enough is enough. 2 months without weed my head is clearer my dreams are back and while I grieve the last couple years I spent in the dark cell of THC, I am grateful that I've stuck my head out the tunnel and taking control of my life again! Weed came into my life during grief and the irony is it was threatening to cause me even more down the line if I didn't have the reality check at work! My speech is getting better too. Less and less mumbling and jumbling up my words looking like an idiot and freezing mid sentence. Can't put a price on that! Never Again!

    • @sarahmason8911
      @sarahmason8911 Před 6 měsíci +44

      Exactly the same thing happened to me! I had a job interview, I convinced myself that the weed didn’t affect how I acted in the interview, honestly I think they saw right through me, even tho I didn’t do anything obvious, my answers were weak, my speech wasn’t as good as it used to be, and my ability to connect and finesse my way into the job was just not there. I wasn’t high that day, but in hindsight, my performance was entirely affected by the weed.

    • @blackmansupportingblackcon844
      @blackmansupportingblackcon844 Před 6 měsíci

      @@sarahmason8911 It's a painful reality check but one that was needed regardless for both of us. In the end I suppose it depends on what a person really wants out of life. For me professionally I couldn't get on in any serious capacity if I kept smoking and stayed high. As much as I miss the hits, the bubble, the pain numbing everything feels and looks so much better space that weed brought me. The hindsight regret of knowing what it would end up costing me was not worth thinking about. It's amazing how weed slowly takes over ones life if they are not careful. First is a hit in a blue moon socially then u learn how to roll then u want to hold ur own then u constantly checking ur phone wondering why the weed guy hasn't shown up yet then the solitude, being introverted and days turn to weeks weeks turn to months. U don't even recognise yourself anymore when u look in the mirror. I want more for myself so never again. Plus the withdrawals are brutal so won't put myself through that again 😂

      @@SuperBabyMario0Cweed is what causes a lot of people to not be disciplined. I already know you smoke weed all the time and you are still productive but the truth is you’re either in the minority or you are not as productive as you think you are being.

    • @SuperBabyMario0C
      @SuperBabyMario0C Před měsícem

      Nah I was productive I got a lot done over the past 5 years. In retrospect to the 5 years before but I don’t think weed change those aspects of life. My schedule was packed and because of those years my life rn is in a better place in a lot of aspects such as income, education, life lessons, fitness and just more discipline overall, I’ve experienced loss. So someone using weed as an excuse especially for things like being late for work something so easy like really? But I think if you’re already lacking in that weed will amplify it. Those are things that an adult like this guy should’ve been worked on since teenage years and my life wasn’t a walk in park, there was no room for a lot of set backs. Only thing is I’ve wasted money smoking lol. But I guess it doesn’t matter since now I’m a in a better spot. I wanna see my family be good too my parents to stop working and that won’t happen if I show up late to a job. I think if that’s a problem you should be overlooking other aspects in your lift don’t blame weed and if you can’t handle it then don’t do it. I started smoking because I stopped drinking it didn’t fit in my schedule to be lit, I could still skate, exercise, study, drive and many others things high much better than alcohol, and it’s healthier alcohol is so bad for you, try running a marathon drunk Vs high or skating the balance isn’t there. We’re all different but don’t say I’m not productive. If you cant do basic things to inprove your life then I suggest anyone stop doing any substances and work on them but small things like caring if you family knows you’re high or being late to job is ridiculous. But we all start at different points and some roller skate thru life, others have to walk thru it and I put myself in that.

      @PhineasNHerb Před 29 dny

      @@SuperBabyMario0C you can feel however you want about smoking weed and it’s relationship to discipline, but the truth is that obviously this man didn’t have the same experience. Like someone else mentioned, smoking weed probably affected his discipline. There’s more to gain by accepting someone’s truth as they tell it rather than projecting yours. If you think he lacked discipline in his life because it improved when he stopped smoking, maybe that’s relative to your truth. But if he said he lacked discipline BECAUSE of all the weed he smoked, then that’s what it is, for him.

    I started smoking pot when I was in my teens in the 70s and stopped when I turned 20 but now that I'm in my 60s I've started up again because of a few health reasons but for the most part I don't actually smoke, I vape at low temps and I eat edibles and it's helping a lot where the drugs they put me on just masked the symptoms and barely did that and came with a bunch of side effects. The one thing that I have to say is weed from the 70s was weak compared to what's out there today but I opt for lower THC flower or just take less of it then I would have back in the day. Because of it I've been able to cut back on prescription and over the counter drugs and I even stopped drinking alcohol which was never a real problem but when you get older you start being affected differently than when you're younger. Chronic anything isn't good for you! Good video!

    Having heard you completely out, and really can relate to you. I still smoke though. Having stated that, I ride with your reasoning. I also will mention how it does me different, especially in moderation. Now if someone does it with high frequency, it affects more than just the brain. I smoke to actually reduce my anxiety. I am also very active, so it cuts down opportunities to just sit around and smoke endlessly. Your take is valid to me because everything isn't for everyone, and perhaps someone who is abusing it can recognize their inner idiosyncrasies. Continue to be an ambassador. This is very helpful to many people. Kudos!

    Part of the mechanism for why weed amplifies anxiety is because weed dehydrates you. When you smoke, you're essentially introducing "contaminants" (THC, etc.) into the blood through the lungs, and in order for your body to clean everything up (aka become sober), it requires resources (water, minerals, vitamins, etc.). One of the most important minerals that you lose during this process is MAGNESIUM. Without sufficient magnesium, your sense of "calm" gets eroded and anxiety can easily skyrocket given the right environment and triggers. It also ties in with irritability and other mood disorders, but primarily, your thoughts will be scattered, you'll be less focused, more paranoid, and more fearful. Obviously this depends on your personal health status, hence why some people have absolutely no issue with anxiety or paranoia when smoking (at least not yet). This is also why long-term smokers have such higher likeliness for mental health issues. Each time you smoke, you're not only altering your brain and the way you think, but your body has to use vital nutrients to recover (note that this happens with ANY drug), and because you're high, your diet isn't the greatest anyway, so it's just a matter of time before you become chronically deficient in one thing or another, which will lead to various mood disorders and mental health issues, not to mention potential physical health issues.
    How do I know all of this? I spent years studying nutrition and biochemistry (especially magnesium), as well as weed, after going through severe anxiety and insomnia which I was able to completely reverse naturally (no big pharma) with proper supplementation, diet, and lifestyle. I have no doubt that my regular weed use (1-6 times a week) was a major contributing factor, because once again, it DEPLETES minerals, especially MAGNESIUM

They gave me Ativan because the anxiety was so bad. But after a while they didn’t want to give me anymore. As a last resort I started using cannabis and it immediately took all the mental pain away and made me feel good again. I used to vape flower a couple times a day but am down to micro dosing. Thanks for the info.I am going to incorporate that into my trying to quit

      @XSilvenX Před 4 měsíci

      @@ma5takilla1The primary thing for me was simple magnesium supplementation. The products I used were MagSRT + Magnesium Breakthrough, two of the best on the market.
      Dosage is roughly a total of 1000mg day between both supplements. Then I add magnesium-rich foods, magnesium lotion absorbed transdermally, and trace mineral drops.
      I would advise anyone suffering mag deficiency symptoms look up Dr. Carolyn Dean on CZcams. She's an expert on magnesium and she has many case studies. Would recommend her book as well, it's been an incredible resource for me.
      The rest of my supplement stack is taken in part from Morley Robbin's Root Cause Protocol. I also take cod liver oil, beef liver pills (or multi-organs), bee pollen, ashwagandha and collagen. It's worth noting I'm a bodybuilder so some of the above may not apply to you.
      Lifestyle changes including grounding/earthing as much as possible, EMF blocking canopy during sleep, maximizing sleep hygiene, as much exposure to natural sunlight as possible, maintaining a regular eating schedule (same times every day), and a ton of cognitive behavioral therapy for coping with the psychological aspect of anxiety. Took me quite a few months to recover, but consistency and perseverance was key, and it worked. I eventually got back to what I'd consider "normal".
      Mind you, this is the SLOW, HARD, but LONG LASTING NATURAL METHOD that involves a lot of struggle, but it's far better than needing anti-anxiety meds for the rest of your life...at least for me. Everyone is different though.

    • @User59419
      @User59419 Před měsícem +1

      The problem with this is that for addicts, there is no moderation. A lot of people don’t even relapse when they feel bad… it’s when they’ve been feeling good and haven’t smoked in a while and feel they “deserve” a joint because of said accomplishment. Moderation can spiral quickly. I do think telling yourself “I’m only stopping for x weeks” and moving the goalposts is a good psychological trick, but looking forward to moderation or social smoking isn’t always the best option.

    Smoking(vaping dry herb, not oils) weed seriously saved my life, but to each their own. I can't imagine where I'd be without it. If anything makes you lazy and unhealthy then you should do your best to cut that out of your life. I'm an athlete and I eat healthy and enjoy life all around. Cannabis helps me with so much and doesn't have that negative effect of being lazy and doing dumb stuff or get the munchies on candy and chips. Their also has to be a balance, such as micro dosing vs smoking blunt after blunt which is unnecessary in my opinion. Glad you were able to make better life changes.

It keeps me trapped in this shame cycle of trying to quit and feeling like a failure because I can’t, then feeling shame for continuing and repeat. I constantly question what things would be like if I could ever stop? Now no time ever feels like the right time because I can’t control my emotions when withdrawing and take it out on the people I care about. Just stuck in my own high paranoid head all the time.

      I find for myself that it’s much easier for me to quit / take a break if I still have some left.. ie if I still have some on-hand and decide to take a break it’s much easier than if I run out completely, which induces panic of “re-upping” or having it available still.
      I have decided to give fully quitting a go after some things related to work and also after having had a bad flu. I was already feeling like shit from the flu / fever so I wasn’t in the mood to smoke up and feel even more delirious. If you have friends that have also quit (whether it’s booze or trees or something heavier..) talking to them about your intent to quit may help to garner some support from them. You can do it though dude just take it one day at a time. Get the first day of not having any out of the way, then stick to it for 2, before you know it you’ll have it out of the way and be through the worst of the withdrawal and cravings.

    • @w0tnessZA

      You can do it bro! I believe in you. I've been smoking weed (5-9 joints) every day for the last 12 years. I've been tapering myself off the weed for the last 2 weeks to quit. It has destroyed my life for long enough. I'm now 3 days without it. The first two days was really fucking difficult. I just slept throughout most of the day, but the insomnia was fucking crazy during the night. Then I just preoccupied myself with video games, anime, series and movies to just distract myself as much as possible, it really helped a lot. Also, I'd tell myself:"Okay, just another hour dude, just go another hour without weed." After an hour, I'd just reaffirm that to myself again and say "just another hour". This was extremely helpful for me. Just take it one step at a time.
      Today I actually felt so much better already, I actually can't remember when last I felt this way. I actually enjoyed mundane and simple things I didn't even notice before. It's as if I was asleep all this time and I'm starting to awake slowly but surely. I can't wait to see how my life changes for the better without this drug. I had mad cravings the first 2 days, but oddly enough today only now at night do I feel a slight agitation, but it's not that bad compared to the previous days. I guess I'm sharing this just to tell you, you're much stronger than you think you are and don't give yourself enough credit. If I can do it, you can too! Believe in yourself, because you matter.

I cannt study more than 1h at time, i have to take breaks every hour or i m having headaches and also my eyes get blurry and i get very emotional and even crying. The only thing that i saving me is meditation which i been practicing since high school (thank you god if you exist). I have panic attacks and trying to focus on my heart rate. So far i don't have much positive effects after quitting but i am not a quitter (very ironic), although i enjoy things that i thought i wouldn't when getting high. Maybe it still too early ..
