    Greg Gage is on a mission to make brain science accessible to all. In this fun, kind of creepy demo, the neuroscientist and TED Senior Fellow uses a simple, inexpensive DIY kit to take away the free will of an audience member. It’s not a parlor trick; it actually works. You have to see it to believe it.
    The TED Talks channel features the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes (or less). I worked in the medical field as a phlebotomist when I was in college and a TA showed us this video. It was really interesting to see, do you guys think technology like this could help patient that suffer from muscular dystrophy? Like a physical therapist who could have sessions with their patient in hopes of recovering their muscle? Which could hopefully lead to a faster recovery.

    • @josephkoch2262
      @josephkoch2262 Před rokem +4

      Honestly, it sounds possible..
      With more advanced tech, someone could probably invent a way for an entire limb to be controlled. If that was possible, even a quadriplegic person would be able to have their muscles exercised to some extent. That could help people suffering atrophy.
      I wonder if we will see more medical uses

    It would be great if they made a device that lets you feel someone else's pain. When someone visits their doctor and has a hard time explaining the pain, the doctor could attach the device to the patient and himself so the doctor can better understand what the patient is feeling which would help the doctor to better treat the patient. Another use I see for this technology is when a cop arrests someone, the cop could attach the device to himself and the criminal and control the criminal to get in the cop car and go to jail peacefully without resisting arrest.
