  • Part 1: Create colorful holographic materials in Cinema 4D!
This is a 2-part tutorial. In part 1, we'll create a reflective holographic material that changes color based on how it's facing the camera.
In part 2, we'll use these materials to create beautiful, distorted chromatic refractions through glass. You can watch Part 2 here: • TUTORIAL | Chromatics ...

Thanks for the clear and easy tutorial. Been looking for a way to make dichroic materials...this is perfect

hey Aharon great tut! dont you have to put a color correction node with gama 2.2 in between maxon noise and rougness input? the same for bump? so that way redshift can read these noises properly, or in c4d 2023 is not necessary to do that?

The only answer I can give you is that I got results I like without doing that. I’ve never used a color correction node for this purpose, so if it’s a requirement, I’ve been doing it wrong - but at the same time It hasn’t kept me from getting to where I want things to be.
