i love this concept, but you lose the ability to use a shadow matte if you're placing a model into the scene. :\ i wish there was a way to fix that.

Are you using some sort of volumetric environment as this feels like it's in a foggy environment. I've followed this and not getting any of that bloom or glow. Using latest update of C4D +Redshift and the same GSG plugin. Thanks

My smoke shape does not look anywhere near as nice as yours as far as shape. Mine just looks like a fat tube of smoke. How does yours look that nice by default?

Not at all correct. You've created some fake atmospheric haze sure, but you're screwing up the integrity of the HDRI light information. This is how you move towards less realistic results.
