I LOVE these story segments before each episode!
They're what gets me to actually watch the episodes lol
17:45 Quite amused by the mental image of Dave petting Colin and pondering over the galaxy map while the Imperial March plays in the background. The evil mastermind energy is strong with this one.
You gotta get KDY on Kuat for the production time and price reductions since it's your main fleet builder
Yay, Praetor!
I'm also counting it a goodish thing Yularen didn't survive to die on the Death Star because of Tarkin. Here he died a war hero, probly in good rep with the people (if they knew about his anti-corruption thing).
When the ships come out of hyperspace, their shields aren’t online so if it’s to close the enemy ships can shoot it without shields, destroying the subsystems so it’s hull strength and shields are depleted
No, it's part of persistent damage mechanic. If ship is damaged, it get's that percentage of damage in hardpoints and loses it's shields while entering battle. They do regen if left alone, but regen rate is overall slow in EaWX mods.
@@antonisauren8998 ah ok thanks
@@Lokiip But it this case, they were lowered by script anyway. :P
@@antonisauren8998 no, it's both. Many others have identified that ships are extra vulnerable in the initial moments after jumping out of hyperspace.
I finished a campaign of this and one tactic that I used to end bombing runs and bombardments was any planets that were in reach of invasion planetary shield and a full garrison. Artillery vehicles gave a bit of help also and defensive turrets everywhere. The mandator if it's damaged won't have shields right away once in battle.
Lucrehulks are probably just the best ship in starwars for their respective eras. Variety of designs, but almost always loaded with enough guns, troops, and fighters to be the perfect flagship for each situation
My dude, wouldn't it be more sensible to use the range of the mandator with his big f*ck off guns and defend it with fighters from acclamators or something (so it wouldnt get shot at by whole fleets all the time I mean)? Never got into the game myself, so I have no idea iof that would be viable.
Edit: Also, wouldnt it be sensible to build air defence towers in the hinterlands and only defend the direct front?
And now thinking its time to build a fleet around the praetor. Victories, some venators and acclimator carriers all the little doots. Using smaller shipyards to scrape it all together. Also get the KDY building set up on kuat. It will make you so happy
Good shit! Heroes of Rishi, we love to see it.
You need a bunch more corvettes for fighting luckrehulks, not to engage them directly, but to try to swat down their fighters, they only take up 1 pop each and they can also shoot down missiles and bombs so they're both offense and defense. Plus they're relatively fast to build.
Also to echo someone else's comment, building the KDY building on Kuat will reduce your build times in addition to saving you money. But also understand wanting to use the money to build up other things like space stations and the space construction buildings.
Dave,
So the reason youre losing shields so fast is because coming out of hyper space your shields take some time to bump up. Ive been watching another EaW fall of the republic series (from the guy that voices the arquintens, cant remember his name) and hes stated that a bunch of times. So maybe if you drop out alittle further back it might work better.
I wish there was a soundtrack for this mod. The "Anakin's Dark Deeds" remix is amazing.
I love this series so much. Thanks Dave!
The Glorious Retreats of the Republic!
Awesome episode :-) again, always look forward to these.
I love this series well done with the introductions
The intro alone is worth a like.
Stellar intro as always, but this time you've really outdone yourself!
Please more of this more frequently! Love it
YAY I missed this so much
Why does it not surprise me that Colin is purring the tune of the Imperial March? :D
Lucrehulks are classiefied as BC so they don't fall under repair meshanic. It has to be unique vessel, so script has something to track it by. That's why all SDDs have build limit. Only Malevolence couts for CIS afaik.
Jumping the ships put of hyperspace directly into enemy fire when they tale like 5 times damage 😭😭😭
I think your mandator shields keep disappearing because the shield hard point was destroyed and hasnt been repaired. So you jump in, no shield generator, so it drops off.
I see Dave is experiencing first hand the Rishi doom stacks that come from the CIS strongholds north of Boz Pity. Had a fleet that contained 47 Diamond cruisers come from there once, actually just fucking abhorrent how annoying that was.
I know this is way behind but the reason your mandator has 0 shields when you warp it in is the fact that they don't have time to be fully brought up after jumping in from hyperspace. I would recommend drooping it just outside the CIS ships range and then moving it it giving its shields time to be brought online.
Considering he used to know this its rather frustrating, also losing 90% of his ground forces to a single bombing run every single defense battle because he refuses to build AA is just as bad
I have been looking forward to this...
The Kuat drive yards building gives a better discount than Sate Pestage it costs 10000 but sate brings that down and it pays for itself in the long run so you could build that then move Sate about the place.
17:46 only ruined in the sense that it made me realize that I don't know of any cats or cat equivalents in Star Wars and that's a crying shame.
Loth-cats. They were in Rebels a few times and made an appearance in the Mandalorian season 1 when Mando and Grogu make their way to that beautiful backwater plane that has the little fishing village which a bandit AT-ST attacked.
There's probably other cat-like things they just aren't brought to attention much.
Who else was screeching 'go for tatooine!!!' throughout the whole video
'twas a fleet built for a single purpose. To destroy the world of men.
You have to mandators
I don't mean to be *that* guy, but Yularen shows up in rebels as an imperial officer. Not a big deal though, it was only like one episode.
@@Rainfx8 yeah that makes sense, but I just didn't know if he knew. It also would be pretty funny if captain Rigel says "whoops I was thinking of another admiral in a previous chapter, my bad"
He also shows up in the original film too, if you look closely, but as 0101 has said, he is dead in this version of events.
This isn’t meant to follow the canon at all. It’s an AU
