Christ the battle of Mimban was costly, you’re going to need a lot of Praetors.. it’s honestly quite ludicrous how many lukerhulks the separatists have. Keep up the series Dave absolutely loving it

The Praetor vs. Lucrehulk battle was absolutely nail-biting!
And, yes, losing one of your own capital ships in exchange for four of the enemy's capital ships sounds like a rather worth-while exchange. Now you just have to repeat it a few... several times and you're golden.

You have a real talent for this kind of storytelling. It feels like we're watching the backstory to a great movie
When facing dual lucrehulks and the enemy has more in reinforcements, the best move is not to kill one as soon as possible, it is to mission-kill them both, strip their heavy weapons, then deal with everything else. Only then do you finish them off. That way the CIS has no heavy guns and won't be spawning new fighters and bombers as soon as the first one goes down

For cruel, unfeeling killing machines, the battle droids sure seem to fear death
Combine high tier space stations with hypervelocity guns and a small fleet at important and/or chokepoint planets
Yeah hypervelocity gun basically lets a small fleet defend against a lucrehulk
The way hyper velocity guns destroy random hard points is so good. Makes hulks and other dreadnoughts way less scary.
Love to see a new episode and another valiant defense of Mimban, even if this one didn't stick as well. Also the debut of the Praetor was a smashing success!
The low level space stations aren't great. The Golan 2 is pretty good, but yeah, it takes a fair bit of investment to get to it and it wants to be paired with a shipyard so it has reinforcements for further support, so I get why it's not a huge priority, the game isn't really letting you be defensive at all.
Also TBF is kinda a lot of this mod is that most things want support of some variety. Big ships want small ships, carriers want ship to ship brawlers. Very few things are an "all-in-one" ship. Except the Lucrehulk. Which is probably why I like playing as the sepppies haha. However, in terms of defense, the land based hypervelocity gun is honestly super good, worth investing in when you have like big choke points you want to defend.
You also need more LAC's and correllian Corvettes
@@rmcgowa1987 but the CR90s take up less space so drop in like five and create a very good anti-fighter, anti-projectile screen

Playing this ive recently discovered that the fourth field base on ground battles has jumptroopers and their quite good, id definitely recommend giving them a try
I think this might just be a bug in the mod, because I tried it myself and the enemy just pulls fleets out of nowhere, and I was playing Captain with cruel ai off.

I'm starting to really enjoy The Seargant as a character in this series.
Dave consider building planetary shields on planets that deal with the most invasions, it keeps bombing runs and planetary bombardment from happening.
You had luck on Corsin, the turbo towers shutdown the boming run that was called by the CIS. That was tense for me
