I bought my Bumot panniers and top box from the Adventure Bike Shop a few years ago when the toolbox was not available for the standard BMW racks. When the toolbox became available I contacted ABS. gave them my key identity number and they provided the toolbox with the same key as my top box and panniers. Brilliant
I have been using bumot panniers and toolbox for quite a while . Although I love them , the toolbox foam gets compressed and then leaks
will keep an eye on it, thanks for the heads up!

That’s handy the lip matches the lip on the box or it wouldn’t fit🤔😉😁
Hey guys thanks for the latest. Well I started off with GS 750 after returning to biking 2 years ago. Then dont ask but moved to a Bobber. But after watching all your RT videos I finally decided that that was the bike for me. Thanks for basically doing all the research on my behalf. So Ive only had my 2015 R1200rt LE now for a week but OMG why would anyone want another bike. I absolutely love it. I have 2 questions for Toby. 1. Poncho!!!!
And 2. Is that a new hel.et I've seen you with. What is it?

That’s excellent news! The helmet is a Scorpion ADX1 which we both have. Brilliant helmet,have a look at the review we did on it a few months ago. Ride safe
I bought one last year....very handy. I keep my tire repair kit and a mini inflator in it. Did not want a plastic/metal Chinese box that cost more than Bumot.
I bought a Chinese tool box 3 years ago for my GSA, cost £30 and it’s perfect, still look’s like new.
@@raystewart365 I am assuming the Touratech is made in china (could be wrong) but has the name brand markup or you can go with a copy like the KEMiMTO for around a fifth of the price and it still works just as well. I have seen the door come off a touratech after a hard landing so I have no confidence in that type of box.
I recall another brand's box wasn't compatible on GSA's with lowered suspension from the factory. I checked their website and didn't see any limitations. Are you aware of any for those of us with the factory lowered suspension? Thanks amigos!
looking at our installation, I don't think it would affect anything on a lowered bike, but give Bumot a shout on their email and ask. They are great and will get back to you really quick :)

The only issue I found was that with 'large hands' the edges of the aluminium box entrance is not covered. I was catching my knuckles; I've even grazed them a few times before I put a plastic edging around the opening.
I think Bumot should do the same. Otherwise, excellent, but expensive, although I bought mine in lockdown with a 10% discount 🙂along with the panniers on my GSA.

Hiya, yes they do fit the BMW pannier racks. That’s what Toby has fitted his to. Ride safe
@@markholroyd5365 Mark, thanks for your reply. Let me ask the question again more precisely! I can see the Bumot tool box fits on Toby's GSA panner rack but is it possible to fit the standard BMW badged aluminium pannier on the same rack with the Bumot tool box attached?
Yep, with the Bumot Toolbox, I can also get my BMW boxes on too :)

very well made though and cheaper then Touratech's
tool box full of rubbish ... no tools ... not very smart
Just cause it’s a tool box doesn’t mean you have to put tools in it 🙄
