The great thing about this film is that Keanu did the majority of his own stunts & there's video of him doing major gun training for these films. Also, the ending with the dog, it was going to be put down, which is why he picked that one.

If you liked this one, you'll definitely want to see the sequels. They're just as action packed but they also explore the John Wick universe and how the assassin world works. The films get much more complex than typical action films.
Keanu looks like he knows how to handle weapons because he does. He started weapon training 20+ years ago on The Matrix (another film you should see) and has kept learning and training for all those years. There are videos of him running shooting courses during his training for the John Wick films that show how good he is.
As far as Wick stabbing himself, it's because it allowed him to control where the knife went which was into the wound he already had and that he knew wasn't fatal. It also allowed him to take the knife away from the other guy more easily.

Keanu got into a motorcycle accident a few years ago. He lost his front tooth, booth in his mouth, he was dazed and had road rash on his leg where he could see his white bone. And people ran up to him to help him then they realized who he was and people were asking him for his autograph. He just laughed it off. He’s such a kind, compassionate and decent human being in real life. He cut most of his salary for his movie so crew could be paid more and hire more people. He donates a ton to charity anonymously. These things weren’t really found out until a few years ago because he’s an extremely shy, private and introverted person in real life.
The guy who wants the car, the bad guy’s son play Theon Greyjoy in Game of Thrones. He’s absolutely fantastic in that role. As you know in A Song of Ice and Fire, you know how hard that role would be to play.

Fun Fact: According to Keanu Reeves, he did 90% of his own stunts in the film and memorized the nightclub fight sequence the day that the scene was filmed.
Bonus Fact: The security guard who waves Wick onto the airport runway is reading the 1970s thriller novel "Shibumi" by Rod Whitaker, under the pen name Trevanian, also about a retired master assassin dragged back into the game. The story Viggo tells about how Wick once killed three men "with a pencil" is describing a crucial scene from the same novel.

The bellman is named Charon . The ferryman from mythology who ferries souls of the dead to the afterlife.. Notice that no matter what time it is, Charon is always there.. -- The Continental is one of the safe havens where people with a certain skill set can relax. You see what happens to anyone who breaks the rules. --- The coins are a topic of debate though regarding their actual value... Some would say two thousand on the low side, 5 thousand in the mid range, and 10 thousand on the high end.. -- A coin for a room for a night, a coin to get in the door at the club, one coin to dispose of each body and clean the house.... I tend to go on the low side and figure they're two thousand each.. Maybe 2500.

Greatly inspired by John Woo's Heroic Bloodshed/Hong Kong action films known for highly chaotic action sequences, stylized imagery, Mexican standoffs, and frequent use of slow motion. The Matrix is another film inspired by this style of firearm fight scenes. If you loved John Wick I highly recommend John Woo's films such as Hard Boiled, The Killer, Supercop, and Face/Off to name a few. They all share a very noir feel combined with this style of chaotic action sequences with Hard Boiled being one of my personal favourites. If you do watch these movie's I recommend going for the non dubbed version as the English dubs are awful lol Face/Off on the other hand is a western film directed by Woo so it's in English and features some really good actors you may know. Overall John Wick is a great series of film you'll no doubt enjoy them all.
There's also a game called Max Payne which draws heavily from John Woo's you'll right away see what I mean in the gameplay - czcams.com/video/NqfwguZ_lYM/video.html

She made a playboy bunny costume for Dolly Parton she wore for the cover shoot for playboy magazine and Keanu wore that costume for Halloween a few years ago. No clue how he fit into it cause he's quite tall and Dolly is very tiny.

@@AwesomeUSMovies No sadly it's not from a movie. The love of his life ( long time partner) who he referred to as his wife as she was pregnant with their child and life was great until unfortunately tragedy struck and their child was still born. Sadly it put an awful strain on their relationship and she decided that they should break up/go on a break. Then to add to the tragedy 15 months after the loss of their child his partner ( sorry I still call her that ) died in a car accident. It truly broke Keanu as he was truly happy at that time when they were together and expecting their child. He sadly until recently has not been publicly attached to anyone ( this all happened in the early 90"s ) I truly hope he has the chance to be as happy as he was back then. He is just a beautiful person and a truly special soul. If we were all like Keanu reeves the world would be a much better place to live. He has had so much tragedy in his life but still remains a beautiful soul and a great human being in every single way.
