Some people do everything they can to destroy their health in their younger years, and only begin to appreciate their vitality and their time on earth once they have destroyed it and are facing eminent death.
The medical system, treatments and medications can only do so much. We have to also do our part with maintaining healthy living habits and avoiding risky behaviors if you want to enjoy your senior years and hang around a little longer.

He served in the NAVY during WARTIME, and, there is ASBESTOS in the PAINT of Naval Ships...So, some may want to attribute the cancer to SMOKING, and NOT take INTO ACCOUNT the ASBESTOS in the Navy Ship PAINT.
When the Naval Ship's PAINT CHIPPED in situations of wear and tear OR
run-of-the-mill DAMAGE to the WALLS of the SHIP, due to ENEMY artillery fire, then the Sailors suffer EXPOSURE to ASBESTOS.
As for the Mexican Doctor QUACK....Steve should've researched numerous Country's NATURAL CURE THERAPISTS, instead of just One.
And, BTW, The Narrator labels any "Alt Therapist" who DOESNT PRACTICE AMA Pill Popping,

The fact that the morgue didn't bother him doesn't impress me. A morgue is quiet and the dead are dead. Murder victims, burn victims, decomps. I visited the Los Angeles morgue about 4 times. I saw a lot of bodies who met their end brutally. Hardly affected me. Now an emergency room on a bad night will rattle me. Kids getting hurt, really f's me up. McQueen led a badass life, though. Tough guy, for sure.
