- The Obode P8 is run of the first Robot Vacuums that can mop and vacuum simultaneously, but also can auto refill it on board water tank. With dual scrubbing mopping pads and two spinning brushes this might be the best mopping robot out there.
Launching February 9th

Thanks, I'll wait for the robo rock s7 max ultra
This is the best review for P8 so far, thank you. I just bought an Ecovac T9 (no auto empty bin), like the machine but wife reckoned mopping still lacking as you cant use detergent. Which robot would you recommend for the best mopping result (with detergent and auto refill/cleaning mop pad)?
The Roborock S7+ Ultra will be coming out soon. Having used the S7 the vibra rise technology performed the best in terms of mopping. Keep in mind it designed for light mopping tasks, haven’t found or tested a robot mop that can handle tougher stains.
@@RobotMasters I was planning to get S7 ultra or X1 at first but their prices are way too high especially its my first robot purchase. Now that this T9 proves to be a good capable helper (as of now), and I'm thinking of getting a better mopping robot.
Not sure if its worth a shot for this P8 machine priced at 599usd, compared to S7 ultra which estimates at ~1300usd.
@@garychoo8308 Hmmmm I think the S7 would be a better choice. Software and Hardware more refined. Also performed the best at mopping. If you don’t need a app one self emptying and mopping, you might want to get the DreameTech W10 and Z10 Pro which does mostly everything the S7 Ultra does but is cheaper. Keep in mind it two machines VS one.
Two questions:
1) when vac and mopping at the same time, if it goes over a spill, does the vac bin get any liquid in it?
2) can you run it as a vac only with no mop pads?
Hello so when in wet mopping mode the Vacuum is turned off so it won’t suck any liquids up. It recommended not to try and mop liquid spills, just dry stains. You have to have the mopping pads installed prior to running the robot.
@@RobotMasters so it's not like the w10 where it can vac and mop at the same time?
@@xaudiblex That correct it doesn’t wet mop and vacuum like the W10. It can dry sweep, Dry Sweep and Vacuum or Wet Mop Only.
@@RobotMasters that's a bummer. I was really hoping it could do both. Would the Roidmi Eva be a good alternative if that is a feature I want?
@@xaudiblex Yes the Roidmi is the better choice or the W10 if you want those features. You can also look at the Yeedi Mop Station which much be a cheaper alternative.
Where did you get the bomb robot?
Through ebay
What is it called, link to it
Spinning pads> vibrating mop
It's live on Kickstarter. One more question before I decide. How well does it clean edges?
The edge cleaning is on par with most robot vacuums. It not as refined as the Roborock or Ecovacs. It does better than the W10 since the side brush are longer.
@@RobotMasters Sorry I meant mopping. Does it do an edge pass and can the pads reach the edge?
@@richardsmith1161 So the mopping pads don’t quite reach the edges, leave 1 inch away from the edge since they are circular.
@@RobotMasters Thanks you have been very helpful
Thank you Nate for the great review. Seems like the competition is heating up around these advanced robots. It will be exciting to see who wins out. Will it be Ecovacs, Roborock or this new contender? I am expecting to see many more brands jumping into the all in one robot vacuum offerings.
Sure no problem, don’t tell anyone 🤫, but my bet is the Roborock S7 MaxV will be the most capable model. Of course price plays a big role so it will be exciting to see other brands offer similar features for less 😁
@@RobotMasters roborock over the dream one?
@@StephenSeligson Yes I would go with the Roborock
@@RobotMasters reason ?
@@RobotMasters for mopping doesn’t the spinning pads on the competition scrub better than the rhroborock
Mijia self washing robot? Have you seen it yet?!
Haven’t seen that one? Is it pretty cool 😎
@@RobotMasters
It's nice but haven't seen any tests to actually see how well it works.
i'll hope in your review of tecbot m1...
its seems a very interesting robot vacuum;)
Yeah that models looks very interesting given it can rinse the mopping pad on the robot itself. All the other models require the docking station.
the shape of this robot vacuum doesn’t seems to navigate well in tight space
D shaped robot struggle with navigating tight areas aka Chairs and Table Legs.
Hi, where can I get this p8 robot vacuum?pls share with me 🙏
It available on ingedogoo I think
This company is a mess. Ive spoken to them and they have major production concerns as prototype i got had problems at the bottom of the unit.
Yes you are correct, they are using a different processing technique on prototype units. From what the company told me the units that will get delivered to customer won’t have these problems. Hopefully the company can deliver, time will tell to see if this holds true.
Does this have obstacle avoidance?
Yes it has two front 3D lasers for obstacle avoidance
😂 I like the beginning of the video
You like the Narwal better?
Thanks 😊, my favorite so far is the DreameTech W10
do u recommand the roboroack s7ultra over this one for moping?
Yes the Roborock S7 performed better overall
@@RobotMasters did it performed better for mopping, not overall. :)
The manufacturer and other reviewers Say There is a carpet sensor and you Say thé contrary ...
From what I experienced at the time of making this video the robot doesn’t actively avoid carpets when mopping. I know they updated the software so maybe they enabled that feature. Sorry for the confusion.
where can I get you Gripple robot? what is it called?
It the iRobot Kobra 710
Welp,it's official I just bought a Narwal mop robot vacuum 🤣
Nice 😁
@@RobotMasters
Yeah I got a deal
It was 600$.They only used it a couple of times.
Well that didn't last long. I cleaned it up and now it doesn't work so I'm still shopping
@@angrygaragemechanic Oh hopefully you find something better.
@@RobotMasters Ill be purchasing new from this point onward 🤣
I'm thinking about the Roidmi Eva or dreametech w10
What is the app called for this
$600 I would get it for mopping only. Would you get this or wait.
As of now I would consider the W10 or the Yeedi Mop station. I am still evaluating the software side on the P8.
@@RobotMasters Have you tried the Yeedi? Looking to get one this year in the $500 range
@@richardsmith1161 Yes, they have several models. What features are most important to you. Maybe I can help narrow a few models that are best for your needs.
@@RobotMasters The Yeedi mop station that's due out soon. My routine is to run my Brava m6 in the kitchen and dining and the Samsung jet bot in the hallway/ entryway. At night I run both in the room that leads outside for the dogs. Everything is tile, but I find I'm constantly cleaning the pads. I have plenty of robot vacuums, so this will be mopping only and mostly paw prints
@@richardsmith1161 How important is the mapping because on the Yeedi they use Camera based navigation and at the time I reviewed the models you can't edit the rooms. The DreameTech W10 is a good balance between, Mopping, Navigation abilities and vacuuming.
Price $$$$$
I couldn’t find any pricing yet, will be available for n Kickstarter on February 9th.
@@RobotMasters $599 +shipping as of now on Kickstarter. They won’t start sending any real units till about June they estimated. It seems very cheap looking in the review….. is it me? I’m comparing to the quality of the W10
@@marktaylor9616 I received a pre product model, so there a few issues that needed ironing out with the hardware and software. The Company informed me that the quality will be better on the customer units. As for build quality as it stands now, yes the W10 seems better built. Time will tell to see how well the two models hold up. I been using the W10 for 4 months without really any issues.
@@RobotMasters Didn’t you sell your W10?
@@marktaylor9616 Yes that correct and sold it after 4-5 months of ownership. I may get another one if I can’t find a suitable replacement.
I'll stick with my Roborock S7 plus 🏆
LOL good choice 👍
