I own that Cold Steel bowie machete , I have 13 acres in east Texas of big trees and so much greenbriar and under brush even rabbits can't get through ! I use that machete every weekend to hack through the shit while clearing the land. 7 years of doing this with that blade and I've got about 9 acres mostly park like , but every spring it all starts growing back. I keep the blade super sharp and the swedge more working edge sharp , its sharp enough to cut paper but more axe like in its bevel I guess you'd say. I use the edge for general cutting of vines and brush and use the swedge for heavier limbs and such. if I knew ahead of time I was going to be in a knife fight, this is the blade I would choose , its light , quick in hand and has stood the test of time. the sheath even isn't to shitty......

As a fellow collector I believe this is about a good a review as you can get my brother. It looks like it will chop like a boss and cowboy 🤠 is just like me he likes to keep them in pristine condition. He has blade’s that are twenty plus years old and still look brand new. That’s the fun part in collecting. To have old and discontinued pieces that still looks like the day they were purchased. Hope your doing well my friend and I hope your family is doing well. Especially after a holiday when everyone had it all out on the same day. A pain in the arse. Your picking up on Wednesday and the other company is Thursday. So you have garbage out for two routes. You better know who's on your route. Pick up one house,skip fifteen, then pick up the next five, drive a couple of miles and pick up two. Cost more money than it's worth. Not very cost effective.
